  1. Taken straight from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops website here. They pegged that one on the nose.
  2. LMAO, your either on crack or have a very sick sense of humor.
  3. I think I met you at Half Barrel once, do you ever go there on Sunday nights?
  4. holy ****, those pictures were gross. even with a warning:
  5. ha that was good
  6. If a friend "helps" you with it you might be fine, but if they make money off of the deal they'd need to be a manufacturer or whatever type FFL. I think.
  7. If you get an 80% lower it will be blank.
  8. That's great, I'm definitely stealing that from ya.
  9. Is that a Springfield Armory FAL? Did they import it? What's the deal? Inquiring minds want to know.
  10. What kind of friends do you have that you'll loan your car to but don't know you have your permit? And I think the comment about what "can be expected" was insinuating(sp?)that most permit holders are law abiding citizens and won't be a problem stop.
  11. No offense Tungsten, but grow a pair. I agree with you on probably 90% of gun related things but not this one. I understand your worried about liability as this is your site and your responsibility, but: he isn't doing it to make money he's said that. That's what FFLs are, there for businesses. The ATF and it's agents have more horror stories of bullying people, ignoring their own laws, and all sorts of "scare tactics" which is what sounds like is going on. If he can prove he isn't making money, doing straw purchases, or anything like that; he hasn't broken a law. As much as it doesn't work sometimes, or if it does isn't worth the money it cost; I have faith(a little) in our system. Maybe the OP should not do what he is doing as much, or be smarter about how he does it. Even if you play ball, they will still try to screw you.
  12. I have "see ID" on all (1) of mine. The only place I've used my HCP was WI, to freak out some yankees.
  13. I found this on ARFCOM which found it somewhere else: I called earlier but they had just closed for the day, I'll be calling first thing in the morning.
  14. And possibly crabs....

    CERT?

After reading about this on a survival/prep forum, I thought I'd bring the question to a more localized forum. Are any of you involved in the CERT program? And if so what does it entail for your county?
  16. Shouldn't it read 16 OpFor injured, or do the French not get that you shoot the bad guys not the hostages.
  17. Sorry if I misquoted you, thanks for the info.
  18. I thought the post office was a no no?
  19. So who wants to try this with me: Bacon flavored vodka?
  20. I think it depends on the person you are filing to get your plates from.
  21. At first it kind of made sense, but if you think about it. These "poor" kids that join gangs and form pack mentalities if they are so poor how are they playing video games? As games get more violent the technology gets better, which causes them to cost a lot. My room mate has a PS3 with COD4, we play all the time and none of us have killed anyone. Video games, violent movies, and watching the nightly news may help break down the resistance against shooting at people; but it doesn't make you do things. They are called values, morals, not being a ****bag punk; video games aren't the problem: parent's not caring/being parents, schools stupid feel good policies, and lots of other things are the problem. </rant>
  22. I just "finished" it. I had heard nothing but good things about this book until I started reading it. Some of his points I didn't agree with but it was still an interesting read, until the last chapter of the book. For his solution to the America's problem with violence Grossman starts to talk about how restrictions on the second ammendment are a good thing and necessary due to modern technology and that we should consider restrictions on the first ammendment. Five pages left and I set it down, I'm not sure if I'll finish it.
  23. Tonight it was water, but if I'm looking to drink for cheap I'll spend the 4.80 on two 40s of steel reserve!

    Newbie AR build

Get the one you can afford now, if you later decide you'd rather have a left handed upper you can easily switch just the upper. That being said if you are thinking lefty go lefty. But beware left handed ARs look weird.
