I've taken mine camping but nothing too serious. A few weeks ago I took it on the Mountain Man March that I posted here about, 26 miles was a long way and I had a long time to think about the contents of my pack. I'll probably add a list of things I took out/added after that day some time soon.

Just to clarify. I didn't really know them, I knew that before I turned the light on because I could hear them talk while they bumped into things in the dark. The only reason they didn't get a gun pointed at them was because after scarring the crap out of them with the flashlight and a string of less then kind words I decided they weren't a threat. But back to the OP, I think you did good and if we could get a youtube video of a reenactment of the tactical couch-roll I think everyone would enjoy it.

I had a situation like that happen, except our door was unlocked because my room mate was still out. It ended up being some of my neighbors that were drunk. Needless to say when I slipped into the living room and lit them up with the surefire (225 lumens at almost point blank), they realized it had been a bad idea. A few days later one of them thanked me for not shooting them.

There was a thread about a Homeowner's association in Nashville trying to do this, I'm pretty sure it was challenged and they lost. I wouldn't ask, and i'd keep my guns in the apartment.
