I have never bought/shot any +P. I have read that it shouldn't be used in older hand guns but are there any restrictions? How old is too old? Do most modern hand guns handle it OK?

Definitely like the Colt and Kimber but for the money, reliability, etc., I like my Glock 30.

Opinion: What is the best John Wayne movie of all time?
DocZombie replied to gunrunner32's topic in General Chat
Well, by far the Searchers is not only one of HIS best but one of the best movie westerns of all time - hands down. Right up there though is The Quiet Man. With all that said, I never saw a John Wayne movie I didn't like!! -
Welcome, always glad to see another Memphis area member. This is a great forum.
-
Glad to get the info. Although, I have been looking for one of these if anyone hears a legit offer on the market.
-
I also like the G23. I have a gen 2 but even that is a bit bulky, IMO, to carry - so I go with the 27 or 30, depending on my mood!
-
Look at it this way - one less person to wait behind. I am from NJ originally and look like your average white guy until I open my mouth - then they KNOW I am not from the South. I still catch crap about being a yankee after living here 25 years. Fortunately there are tons of other yanks in the mid south region!

Mid-south Schnucks are closing. (Kroger bought us)

I think they are closing the Farmington store. All in CA today. -
Yeah, I won't buy the cheaper stuff anymore, Tends to be dirtier as well.

Wgere are you ordering from? Definitely want to hear how it works out.

I was taught that no one should EVER know you're carrying until it becomes a necessity to draw your weapon - and then it is because it is a life and death situation. I have been criticized for carrying in certain "family" places but no one would never know I am and those are just the places that might be the target for some "shock" attack. Personally, I don't believe you should be prohibited ANYWHERE. Where legal carry is prohibited only the bad guys have guns. Just my take on this.............

Man shoots self in head while showing how the safety works.

This IS sad but who would point a gun at themselves in any situation. Alcohol must have been involved. -
Nice red vette. It will be my next car and I plan to pick up in Bowling Green. Even if my wife has to get a second job!
-
I don't see any info for shooting rifles at Natchez.
-
Hispanics are conspicuously absent..............

Haven't had this problem but I am a fanatic about cleaning the filter and we never leave them on when we leave - and ours are just about a year old. Plus: Never, EVER put matches in with your unmentionables!

Like M4 said: Como requires membership but is pretty reasonable and MSSA in Memphis area which is around $400 to start and $20/mo., I think. I am not a member but have gone with a friend/member a couple of times.
-
Well, this is certainly a "must" have.......especially since our prez just approved a bill to spend $20 mil relocating hamas refugees to the states. I'll be interested in hearing how it works.

What kind/caliber of snubbie?
-
Too much time on our hands. I also like AIM Surplus Home - best prices when they have their specials.
-
I'd ne interested. Just depends on what's going on in October.
-
Tough for us west Tennesseans but if in Nashville, we might be able to make it, Besides, most of the guns I am interested in are in Nashville or Knoxville!!
-
Who in the heck would charge $100??? I have seen used/new at 25/40 and 25/50. If you are comfortable with pawn shops, some I have seen charge $20 regardless. We need someone in Memphis who charges TGO members $10!!!!!!!! (Plus TICS, of course.)

It's best just to meet in a public place and be discreet. I like using a BOS for record keeping but I have done without. Your preference. The worst part is finding out there is something wrong after the fact but even with seller's info, you have no real recourse.
