If you free range your birds ..I would really advise against clipping the wings.. they need those to fly up to roost if they are outside at night .Clipping them will prevent them to be able to fly up.. Also the wings will give them enough lift and speed to get away from a predator.. ie. dogs and stuff..  Its like declawing a cat if its outside :)After a certain period they will not run off or  fly away..usually 2 to 3 week period inside the coop and once let out they will stay if they have enough stuff to eat and feel safe   Heating the coop in thewinter is not going to kill your birds..  just dont overheat the coop.. keep ti low enough to where the temp is around 40 or even less.. if its to high it can also promote bacterial growth or mold..

They have things like that for dogs.. or bra`s or horse items.. it be neat to get a box each month  to see whats in it:)

If you are a grown man and run from a snake. .you need to put on a pair of big girl panties and deal with it..lol

Get some poli- visol without Iron in it.( walmart). gives the birds a good start ( a drop in the waterer will do it)..sevin dust is a must. .they get lice easily..:)   I bought cracked shellfish powder for extra egg laying  power( calcium) ..if you need to know anything else.. just ask:) I loved my birds.. until stray dogs and possum killed lot of them.. :(

Be aware that now you will have somewhat of an influx of certain snakes, raccoons and possums.. Hawks do like small baby chicks.. If they in the coop at night ,make sure you have adequate security so nothing can get into the coop..  Nice set up btw.. I loved mine and it was a hoot to watch barely feathered out turkeys strut around..

My friend told me that all he talked about was  Mister Gordon and he played with him for 2 hours while I went out riding with his mom.He is the cutest little guy and  so gentle and sweet. I miss having a little guy around and so does Gordon (I bet)

I never smelled cucumbers either.. maybe a old wifes tale.. would not  surprise me..I   killed a copperhead in my driveway by accident . Did not even notice it was there  ,it was so well camo`ed.I felt bad , but I was glad it did not bite any of my pets or myself. When we had chickens and turkeys ,i found a snake that acted like it was dying, opened its mouth and threw itself on its back.. acted like it was dead and stunk to high heaven. I am very pro snake and wont go out  of my way to kill any.We see less and less here where we live, used to have the really neat long skinny arboreal green snakes all over..Now we maybe see one every 4 years or so run over on our road. Sad...

I have and use the Misfit shine.. I like it better than the Fitbit..:)

HA!!! I knew it as soon as I heard him talk and he was way to clean cut and stuff..i pegged him right a ways..  Anyway.. I think  , that whole scene was really not necessary. I thought it did not fit in for some reason.. It does not matter to me as I am not a homophobe but I would have been more impressed if he was in love with a 99 year old woman he is taking care off or a walker that he loves/loved...
