  2. Yup. I forgot the most important thing.
  3. While not a saiga12, this site may be helpful as most things are the same. Saiga Step 1
  4. Just a little off. Eldorado National Forest - Recreational Activities
  5. It is the model which is best for offroading on steep/hilly terrain (crawling). They come standard with electronic swaybar disconnects, front and rear axle lockers, rock sliders decent rubber for crawling and the newer ones have hill assist for assisting with controlling descents. Depending on your off roading needs, it may not be the "most-appropriately outfitted for off-road use" if your needs are more mud oriented as the transfer case is setup lower than most would want. I am on my second and have made no changes to them. I have never been at a loss to get where I need to be out here in the hills.
  6. I thought the Golden Arches was already a memorial?
  7. Them DRs will kill you. Don't you know they just "practice"?
  8. Glad to help. I reckon I should call it a day since I have probably peaked now.
  9. The beaver tail, extended thumb safety and rear novak style sight on the gsg are more appealing to my preferences, though I do like the single sided thumb safety of the colt better. Also, the GSG is available with wood grips. Now the gold cup colt is pretty nice with the front strap checkering and the adjustable rear. http://www.americantactical.us/76/detail.html
  10. place a card or something under the stop to keep it from marring the finish. line it up and just push hard and it will pop in. Some folks file a a small groove/notch into the stop to help with alignment during install.
  11. Wost movie ever would be anything with Julia Roberts in it. Cage's best movie was Wild at Heart. He's pretty entertaining and has starred in lots of good flicks.
  12. They are nice. I bought a mark III 22/45 and planned on going that route, but this is a much better choice IMO. The only thing I don't like is the ambi safety. I mistakenly referred to it as an ATI, but it is a GSG. ATI is the importer. The only ammo I've tried that it didn't really like was winchester Xpert 22 hollow points. I need to give them another try since it's been a few hundred rounds ago.
  13. My understanding is that it is the same as the ATI 1911 22lr. Picked one up a few weeks back and it is the funnest gun that I own now. They are surprisingly accurate. They do call for high velocity ammo. Mine has been very reliable with Blazer and surprisingly with sk standard plus which is regular velocity. I've had probably 5 failures out of 500 rounds, but all things considered, it's a hoot to shoot. It would have been nice if it came with two mags since extras run around $40.
  14. The double diamondback slim grips are some nice grips. I heard some sandpaper to knock the tips off makes a difference, though I have not done it.
  15. With some masking tape and an extra box, it should be no problem making it look like a guitar or a large tennis racket.
  16. If the fed is unable/unwilling to make the States honor our 2nd Amendment right, how will a Statutory law on top of the Constitution be any different? At some point it is up to us citizens to stand up and stop expecting the bought and paid for electorate take care of us. But alas, that would require stepping out of the cozy zone. OhShoot is right. What the .gov can grant, the .gov can take away. It is but a stepping stone/testing of the waters.
  17. My 6 year old had to learn the four rules before touching anything. He started with supervised shooting of a bb gun at 4. Last Christmas I picked him up a CZ Scout and it has worked out great. It is a compact bolt action rifle that is very accurate and is made with the same quality as their larger/more expensive counterparts. They come with a solid magazine that makes it a single shot to start out with. This turned out to be very nice as it gives him more steps to do and not get board. When we go shooting, I place it on the bench rest and he does not carry it yet, nor does not move it around. Right now we are concentrating on the rules and his form. I know you've been looking at rifles that swap barrels, but you may want to consider a CZ scout. CZ-USA -> CZ 452 Scout
  18. This made me laugh.

  20. You are correct, however Paul can have a major influence on the Federal Register, veto garbage and bring non-fantasy based dialog to the table for general consumption.
  21. If nothing else, I reckon I got a free ride the rest of the way home.
  22. The preacher rose with a red face. "Someone in this congregation has spread a rumor that I belong to the K.K.K. This is a horrible lie and one which a Christian community cannot tolerate. I am embarrassed and do not intend to accept this. Now I want the party who did this to stand and ask forgiveness from God and this Christian family." No one moved. The preacher continued, "Do you not have the nerve to face me and admit this is a falsehood. Remember, you will be forgiven and in your heart you will feel glory. Now stand and confess your transgression." Again all was quiet. Slowly a "drop dead" gorgeous blond with a body that would not stop rose from the third pew. Her head was bowed and voice quivered as she spoke. "Reverend there has been a terrible misunderstanding. I never said you were a member of the Ku Klux Klan. I just told a couple of friends you were a wizard under the sheets."
  23. The Real ID act. Perhaps it is reaching, but the car and the gun are both tools used by the individual, though not directly related to the pursuit of the business at hand. Unlike commercial carriers, chauffeurs, etc.
