  1. nah, he's supposed to video it and put it on youtube....
  2. The way I see it is that all you partisan folk are what has ruined our country. The democraps want to regulate it's hated stuff and give money to it's pet people. The republicants want to regulate it's hated stuff and give money to it's pet people. All the while since I've been alive everyone votes for the lessor of evils. Accept responsibility for years of supporting parties that don't have your best interest in mind.
  3. Now include something about Polk county.
  4. I didn't mean to imply it was currently possible. I was expanding on my previous thoughts.
  5. Yes, it is a fact that they have given pensions for some time. The pension records are used to show that you had relatives who fought, in order to join some historical groups. I'm not sure what to think about pensions no matter the source. For the .gov I see it falling under the cost of common defense. You'd think though if it were money in the bank so to speak you could chose your dog as a beneficiary of it if you wanted to.
  6. He's over near Nashville unless he was fibbin on the location with his last account.
  7. Come on down to Polk county with that purdy mouth.
  8. Classical Liberalism or modern progressive liberals? I've come to understand modern progressive liberal are hypocrites who want a nice car, but want to complain about cutting the tree down to build the factory to build the nice car. They want everyone to get a trophy regardless of how crappy they perform and want the state to make everything fair. <Insert a myriad of other craziness here>. Classical Liberals want to be left the hell alone and for the government to go away, except for common defense (not offense), to protect property rights and enforce contracts.
  9. It has to start somewhere. You expect >40% to just pop out of nowhere overnight? What does the constant belittling of voting third party forment?
  10. No, thus my oversimplification statement. I consider it pay just as any other individual who has a job is paid.
  11. Oh, I agree with your statement 100% and have said as much throughout this thread. Or at least tried to express that. I was more implying that it takes a paradigm shift in ones thinking to see another persons viewpoint sometimes. While I may believe that I am correct in my view, I cannot decide for another person what is correct in their view.
  12. Yeah, I figured out how it works back in a couple of previous lessor of two evils threads when all my posts had the little red negative number below. I was just inferring that perhaps you were, based on a quick analysis of the number of posts you "voted" on. If I was incorrect, then my apologies and thanks for trying to come to the rescue of us folks who get -1s all the time. I obviously live or die by how other's view my crazy ideas/views and that's why I temper them so much.
  13. nah, You just put a nice icing on the cake. I seriously doubt that most folks who want drugs to remain criminal will never change their mind. Just like I doubt that most folks who want guns outlawed will ever change their mind. We all have opinions that we are pretty well set in. It takes a serious paradigm shift to change those and generally discussion is not the vehicle. Not implying that anyone is right or wrong with that statement, just that it is what it is.
  14. A little simplistic of an explanation but pretty much exactly. The government should not be in the business of providing welfare, regardless of what pretty name you dress it up with.
  15. Hell TMF aint even from Polk county, where none of "them" want to sprawl out to. Us Polk county folk have something to be grateful for I reckon. Not you TMF, but for them not wanting to live in God's country.
  16. Gosh, I was going to defend Robert, thinking he would not do so, but looking at his Reputation Given page, you may be correct.
  17. Now why would you want to put the idea of failure into a budding young entrepreneur? Nothing in life is certain except for, well you know...
  18. Darn it you got me again. Doesn't change how I may or may not vote though.
  19. Viable != likely to succeed. It only means capable of success or likely to germinate. A glimmer of a chance is better than none.
  20. Would you rather have .5% chance or 0% chance of survival?
  21. Very profound observations and statements 6.8.
  22. Oh, I'm definitely glad there is a viable 3rd option. Also, I agree with a number of policies he advanced in NM as governor. I'm just leery politicians and CFR ties, even though tenuous.
  23. If you read the comments on a number of the sites the guy looks to be turning into a folk hero of sorts.
