  1. Are these idle threats, intended to get more folks to register out of fear?
  2.   That is not true.  Everyone has a wood fire source where we are.  You can't heat a home with electricity like you can with wood.   Besides if anyone has priced most decent wood stoves or the newer outside burners, they are quite expensive.
  3. If the EPA took into account the resources that go into manufacturing electricity, be it standard or alternative, I'd imagine it is more detrimental to the environment than wood stoves.   The only way alternative energy works is due to petroleum.   Probably has more to do with the fact that they can't tax you on the wood you burn
  4.   His theme of the power of positive thinking.  :)
  5.   Right, but if you purchase with the sole intent to resell for a profit, I believe it is illegal.
  6. Another question.  If it's illegal to buy a gun with the intention of selling it and making a profit is it also illegal to win a gun with the intention of selling it and making a profit?
  7. That site is BS.    Disclaimer: I owned a VW that chewed through 4 cv joints over 20k miles.
  8. Thanks. Dave explained how it goes down on a gun giveaway.   I know what a straw man purchase is  however I've never won a gun, so I didn't know if the gun was just handed to the person in the same fashion as a face to face transfer.  If it did and the gun was new, I would have thought it was a straw man.  Dave explained that the gun is transfered through an FFL to the recipient which explains it.
  9. If it is;   Dear VW and the German womens union.    #### you and the horse vagen you rode in on.
  10. Let's get this party started!
  11. Y'all need to listen to some Earl Nightingale.
  12.   Makes sense.  I've never dealt with it, so was curious.
  13. So, how are gun giveaways not considered straw man purchases?
  14. Two mules is a great movie.
  15.   Some of your posts are plain silly.
  16.   Yes, the visuals were very good indeed and there were no slow parts to speak of.  The wife has been reading the book. I may give it a read when she is done if I can carve out some time.
  17. Another one they couldn't beat satan out of.  :ugh:    Looks sweet!
  18. Was a surprisingly good show.  I was not expecting much, so perhaps that made it better than it was.
  19. All Saints chapel is stunningly beautiful.
  20. Friction modifiers and rear ends.  huhuhuhuhuh
  21. False advertising!!!!   I consider myself a rear end expert but only of the feminine kind.   "LA face with an Oakland booty"  :woohoo:
  22.   No thank you.  I'll never watch another Jamie Fox movie.
  23. I'd start by finding out if he participated on any other forums and had an street cred.    I've sold guns across country and been on the selling end, but I'd be much more leery on the purchasing end.   As far as the FFL checking it out, that is hit or miss.  What is in perfect shape to them could be less than perfect to you.   As far as payment, I've always asked for USPS MO.
