  1. I already have four but there's always another one I'd like to have. Maybe one with "Gallatin, TN" stamped on it. :)
  2. I have one of these Beretta Bobcat model 21a in .22lr on the way to my FFL. Can't wait. http://www.berettaus...odel-21-bobcat/
  3. Beretta Sphinx Arms Taurus

Why on earth not? Don't want to appear as openly racist as everyone else?
  6. Sorry, I haven't be on the forum in a while. As far as my own experience my little Sphinx has been very solid.
  7. I have also been away from this forum for a while and wanted to check in. I cannot carry at work but I will while running to Kroger, Wally World, etc. I have a variety of choices and will usually carry in an owb holster on my belt. For those quick runs I grab either my .380 Beretta 84FS or Sphinx AT .380M. Sometimes I have just stuck the Sphinx in my pocket. I will also have my Beretta 92FS (9mm) or Beretta 8045F (45cal) if on the road. (I love my Beretta's. ) Don't get me wrong I have shot and would really like to own a plethora of different brands but since I am not independently wealthy I have to pick and choose.
  8. I don't own a huge number of handguns compared to most of you, but I have shot many brands and flavors and all I know is my Beretta 92FS is the smoothest racking, shooting, cleaning, and accurate handgun I have ever used.
  9. Absolutely! Don't purchase anything without shooting it first.
  10. If you are close to Camden Shooters Sporting Goods has lots of ammo, including .380, 9mm, 45, and more. I was passing through yesterday and stopped out of curiosity. I purchased a holster and two 50 round boxes of .380 @ $18.95 each. They have several brands and box sizes of the .380. I haven't seen that much in one place for about two years.
  11. Thanks everyone! I appreciate the tips.
  12. I talked my father into letting me clean his WWII Ithica Gun Co. 1911 because it hasn't been cleaned in probably 25 or 30 years. I have broken it down and have plenty of Hoppe's. Everything is pretty gunked up and nasty so I feel I should let the parts soak for a while. My question is how long should they soak?
  13. Not necessarily only for new shooters. I have seen LEOs shooting there on several of my trips.
  14. I go there because it is close and cheap and they have free targets if I forget mine. I've seen all the RSO's and the (real) old codger is more annoying to me because I hear his strange opinions about people's guns. Guns he's probably never shot and doesn't know what he's talking about. The only time I talked to Jenny was when she saw me using an UpLula and stopped by to show me the one she had as we discussed how wonderful they are. Once, when I was new, I had small targets and was putting two on the target holder. An RSO just told me not to put up two targets at a time and that was that. No biggie. I've also swapped handguns with someone beside me right under their noses and they didn't say anything. We didn't even lock the slides back, just handed the gun and a mag to each other with the barrel pointing down.
