  1. MTSC is not an open range either. It's members only.
  2. I'm only seeing a 10% chance of rain for Sunday.
  3. You won't need a sling this month but it's a good idea start bringing one for both as we will start using them in the future.
  4. I've got a pretty sweet match planned for this Sunday. Hope to see everyone there.
  5. Why is it the last match with the witness?
  6. Speed steel is similar to steel challenge. And the mixed discipline matches are similar to uspsa but with a few other element an scoring like idpa.
  7. Here is a little stage info for you guys. The round counts listed assume you are taking two shots at every paper target and one at steel targets. 9. MTSC will be swapping the dates of some of its monthly matches. Effective in March, 3 gun matches will be held on the first Sunday of the month and IDPA will be on the fourth Sunday. Speed steel and mixed discipline matches will remain on their respective Sundays. There will be no 3 gun match for February. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
  10. I hope everyone had a good time, I know I did. I'm already working on stages for next month. If anyone has comments or suggestions I would like to hear them. Post here, send an IM or email.
  11. Stages are set up. Just need to staple targets and set up some steel plates. The whether looks like it's going to be good.
  12. Thanks, I meant to say all mags can hit the ground.
  13. 5 days out and the weather is looking good for Sunday.
  14. 5 stages. Empty mags can hit the ground. No slugs for this first match but in the future it will be a good idea to have 10 with you as we may throw a slug or two in.
  15. It will mostly be in the bays. I doubt we will get to use the three hundred very often. But there are plans for a hundred in the near future. What we lack in rifle distance we will make up for in technical difficulty.
  16. MTSC will be hosting 3 gun matches on the fourth Sunday of every month. Registration will open at 11:15 am and close promptly at noon when the shooters meeting begins. First shots will be fired at 12:30. Anyone not signed in by 12:00 will not be allowed to shoot the match. Match fees-$20 for MTSC members and $25 for non members. Round counts will not be posted for each match but if you bring a hundred for each gun you will be able to engage every target with the required number of rounds, bring more if you plan to miss. Set up will begin at 8:00 a.m. and any help is appreciated. Any questions can be sent to Ryan at sumocrp@aol.com or I will answer them in this thread. Directions to the range can be found at midtnshooters.com The website will be updated with 3 gun info and the rules in the coming days.
  17. Preliminary scores are up on gssf website
  18. We can't just assume someone else has complained about the problems with the new rule book. Each one of us needs to express every problem we have with every rule they proposed that is stupid, it needs an overwhelming response. If that doesn't work we can start making nasty calls and emails to the AC.
  19. I've personally never round dumped, but I've had SO's try to call it on me for making up shots that I thought that I missed but really didn't.
  20. At least the round dumping rules are gone
  21. We could score it with style points for tacticallness.
  22. Tactical Timmies= wanna be commando types. They can be identified by their operator beards and cargo pants. Most of whom are Costa fanboys and buy any accessory that has tactical written on it. Don't be a hater spiffy, I know you frequent Doodie. Go paint another pink holster.
