  1. And thanks to these guys, a Federal 9mm 100 round package is almost 30% more expensive. Used to be $20 plus tax, now it's almost $26 plus tax. All because the market shows it will bear it.   If these guys would go away (and they won't), demand would come down and the price would drift back towards where it was. In the meanwhile, welcome to paying .45 prices for 9mm.
  2.   Correction: they are of minimal utility when empty. I can't argue with your statement, sir. ;)
  3. And on topic -   Mags are full. They're worthless empty.
  4.   More reasons I always have at least a handgun on my person at ALL times - and most certainly if I'm in a garage/workshop setting.
  5. Where are we as a society when someone will call the police over not adhering to a minor dress code policy?   I mean, really, why?!   Then again, I see people using hammers to kill flies (and miss) figuratively, and broken windows like this are the price for it.
  6. I store mine loose in USGI cans with good seals and fresh desiccant. 30 cal cans will hold 600 5.56 or 1000 9mm; 50 cal cans will hold 1000 5.56, 2000 loose 9mm, or 1000 9mm perfectly in boxes/trays.   Close it up and don't open it unless you're checking the seal once in a blue moon or using the stuff. JMHO.
  7. Happy, grateful, and relieved for TDR and his family. :)
  8.   Looks like a magwell lock, similar to this, but the color is off. Then again, if he painted a rifle purple...
  9. My experience has always been to slip the grip on to the lower while hammering in the guard. What better support could you ask for?
  10. Have you tried swapping out parts between rifles? Perhaps pull out the Spike's BCG and put it in the PSA upper and vice versa. Maybe even swap the uppers around on the lowers and see if you can replicate the problem.   If you don't have them already, Magpul dummy rounds are great for dry firing/chambering for just such an occasion.
  11. I've been a Prime customer for 2 years and counting. I only recently discovered all the content I get for free with Prime - I used it to save on shipping at first.   I ordered a package of colored paper last week for well under $10 with free 2-day shipping. Half the price of Office Max. How can you beat that?
  12. That's been passed around on my Facebook feed. Quite pleased to know it's you.   Edit: Congrats!!
  13. $20 for 50 rounds of .22 +P .25 ACP? I think I just threw up in my mouth. :puke:
  14. Depending on price and FFL location, I'd take an interest in two lowers
  15.   Same. The blog was always interesting, especially when it was happening right then.
  16.   I came to say this. My wife and I got 8 round trips between us the first year (and the initial 50,000 point signup bonus) and continue to rack up points every month. Her family is 1,000+ miles away, so it makes all the sense in the world.   I've used cashback cards for years with great success. We use the card for everything - used to even pay my college tuition with it.
  17.   With as much negative equity as GZ's name has with a lot of Florida, I think the answer is yes.
  18. Have the Justice for Shelley groups started popping up yet?
  19.   That put a grin on my face, especially the +P+.
  20. What, and give them time to fire a "warning shot" at me? No way.
  21. I had dental work done a few months ago. Dentist offered me CareCredit, asked about a cash discount. Offered me a 10% discount, as this is what they gave up to CareCredit for the "no interest" payment plan for me. Needless to say, I took the discount.   Edit: That's a defacto ~12% interest rate on the discounted amount. If you can borrow money for less than that, do it.
  22.   Because you suffer from Black Pistol Disease, near cousin of Black Rifle Disease. Trust me, I have a PhD on the subject matter. :pleased:
  23. Did mine. Glad to have the option.   I tried "credit card processing" instead of PayPal with no luck. Switched to PP and it took fine. Just FYI.   How about a Lifetime Benefactor forum?   Thanks for a GREAT forum!!!
  24. Saul could probably swing you a newly made full-auto. Perfectly legal, of course. ;)
