Link shows they are sold out. Bet it didn't take long.

Was this a complete PSA rifle? Did you buy it as components and assemble yourself? Premium? Freedom? PTAC? These details matter, ya know. ;)

If those are police trade-ins, what on earth did the cops take in trade?

Approved in 20 days!!!

Wow! Congrats Dolo! -
Skilled trades seem like a dying art sometimes, especially with automation being the order of the day. Good on you, OP, for carrying the torch a little longer and congrats for making it!

That's what an umbrella insurance policy is for. I'm confident that large companies like those mentioned are carrying very healthy limits to cover an incident. Sticking up for one brave employee ought to cost them much less than several folks suing because of injuries suffered in an active shooter situation.

GUNSMITH NEEDED MT JULIET/LEBANON AREA
Glock30 replied to Sonny's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
You can do it yourself with the appropriate sized flat wrench. Not terribly difficult and thoroughly educational. -
Another vote for the PM9. I have a DeSantis Nemesis arriving in a day or two as a pocket holster. Between the standard mag and reload, I have less ammo than a single G19 mag, but way more discretion.

Cheapest quality .40 ammo I have seen for awhile

I bought some of their 9mm new production... good stuff -
I run a factory lock through the magazine well and lock it. Then, I lock the outside of the Glock box with a long shaft padlock. Problem solved. Problem staying solved. Nobody can mess with the contents. The process is really easy and painless. That's my experience with it.

Glock could not dominate the LEO market for so long if they had any significant service issues, period.

Who's broke an AR15 firing pin?
Glock30 replied to 173rdABN's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Parts are so readily available right now that any serious shooter ought to have a few of just about every spare part out there. The most recent panic and wait times for the most basic of parts reinforces my need to have spare parts almost to a fault. That being said, I've never busted a firing pin. -
Wow, you beat me to it. Will be glad to help.

Mine has been sporadic since lunch and just came back up a few minutes ago. We'll see how long it lasts.

New to Middle TN - I have some Q's
Glock30 replied to WSCJonathan's topic in New Member Introductions
Welcome to Tennessee. My wife is a refugee from Massachusetts and I feel like I'm gasping for air every time I'm up that way. Hope you are enjoying free America... what's left of it. This is one of the best forums on the planet. What area of MA are you from? -
Issues with the Gen4? I wish Glock would have just stuck with the 3rd gen. I think they tried to make perfection more perfect.... and you can't do that!

I probably should change my username, as I swear by the 19. Brass to the face is the only occasional issue I have. It's a global standard, parts are easy to come by, magazines are quite reasonable compared to other makers' goods, and you get rid of one at a very predictable price if the need should arise. What's not to love?

For the half inch height difference and length difference, it isn't worth losing 5 rounds of capacity. That's why I quit the 26 and went to the 19. JHMO

This is my experience. I've had a few instances where the deputy didn't even run my license/HCP... He just looked at it and asked me to slow down. All done in 90 seconds. I always disclose the HCP and that I'm carrying. For me, I see nothing to gain from remaining silent on the matter.
-
That's wild. Glad you guys are alright!!

I pocket carried it once in cargo shorts. It's semi-discreet and a bit clunky. If you're looking for a smooth, quick draw in a worst case situation, forget it.

Is this a robbery or petty theft? There is a substantial difference in the threat of force during the crime, level of charges, and the potential actions from bystanders.

New member potentially moving to TN, need advice.

You can draw a fairly broad circle and still be within an hour of Murfreesboro. Check out Spring Hill and possibly even Columbia (Maury County side for the taxes) to be easily within an hour. There's also plenty of country living opportunities between Murfreesboro and Spring Hill down 840. Check out www.realtracs.com and try Rutherford, Williamson, and Maury Counties for starters. Really though, you can probably do any county touching Rutherford and possibly two counties off and be within an hour. Beyond that, as always, do your research on what's in an area, taxes, etc., before settling down. Once you find something you like, go to www.assessment.state.tn.us to do your research on tax value, property specs, etc. If you want to know about property taxes, www.tennesseetrustee.org to pull 'em up. We have great online resources in this department... some of the best in the whole country. Our gun laws aren't bad either. ;) Welcome to TGO and c'mon down!!
