  1. Bersa, their pizza is great first thing in the morning. For what it's worth, my weakness is chicken, pineapple, and extra cheese on regular crust, or thin crust without the extra cheese.
  2. Link didn't work
  3.   http://www.brentwoodhomepage.com/papa-johns-ceo-visits-schaffer-family-at-funeral-cms-18260
  4.   They have outstanding customer service... all the more reason I like Glock!!
  5. Your absolute best bet is to go directly to Glock itself.    Go here for the form, print it out, and just write "Glock night sights" in the instructions, along with the model and serial number above.    I recommend sending the slide only in good packaging via USPS Priority in one of the small flat-rate boxes. For $57 plus your cost to USPS it to Georgia, Glock will supply the night sights, install them, update anything that is out of spec in your slide, and ship it back to you via FedEx. $57 total. It's an unbelievable deal. Takes 1-1/2 to 2 weeks round trip from my experience.
  6.   Hooray for common sense  :usa:
  7.   :ugh: :yuck: :stunned: :puke:  :shake:  :screwy: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:   Public defender. The term seems like..... an oxymoron..... at this point. I have a few ideas of how we can permanently defend the public from this guy.   Just when I thought this case couldn't piss me off any more....
  8. So, are you gonna roll it down a gravel pit just to give it a battle-worn look?   In all seriousness, if you wanna put it through some grief, run nothing but the filthiest, least reputable import ammo you can find. THEN you know if it's worthy.
  9. Wholesale unreasonable and inherently disrespectful
  10. I think survivors of these messes sometimes leave out of sheer protest. I really enjoyed Brian's reporting and especially its fairness. But, I can't say I blame him for going. Thanks for gathering views from every side - even the side that is against us - because that is the fair thing to do. Hopefully you'll stick around and participate in the fun post-Tennesseean. :)
  11. You need to post a sale ad in the Classifieds, not here. Need to be a benefactor to do that.
  12.   Wise words and sound advice. It's always satisfying when someone calls you on purpose, KNOWING you will give them non-PC advice. :)
  13. Will they be charging admission?  :hiding:
  14.   We need to have a serious discussion in the country... if you are convicted of a felony-level violent crime as a juvenile, you should be tried as an adult and locked up. Period. Where you go doesn't matter - so long as you're not on the street. But I'm speechless when trying to rationalize why this was done in the juvenile system at age ~16. Speeding tickets? Sure, went through "juvenile court" for it myself at 16. Petty theft or truancy? Sure. Armed robbery? You're well beyond "juvenile" acts.   This shouldn't have happened because the perp should not have been free to begin with.   We have a new DA since Bottoms retired. He better do his job correctly!!
  15. http://www.wsmv.com/story/26867563/police-arrest-suspect-in-murder-at-columbia-papa-johns Shooter is 17 years old. Ugh.
  16. http://www.wsmv.com/story/26837762/clerk-shot-during-robbery-at-papa-johns-in-columbia Prayers for this young man's family. May justice be swift... and painful... for those involved.
  17. Shoot the one you can...   1. Be accurate with 2. Operate the platform (revolver vs. semi) 3. Can best afford   I enjoy shooting my dad's .357 magnum revolver, both with .38 special and full power magnum loads. But I would never carry one. I'm too used to the semi-auto manual of arms and the capacity difference. I also believe that the target ammo is a better cost in 9mm and even .45 ACP; there is also a very broad selection of self-defense loads available in 9mm/.45 ACP.   My personal choice between them is 9mm. But as with almost anything else, it's a personal choice and one that should be made after sampling what both platforms/rounds have to offer.

    My first AR

BTW, nice rifle OP. Go get some accessories for it and make it your own. That's the fun in having an AR!!

    My first AR

I got my first AR thanks to TGO and I've repaid the favor by helping about a dozen folks get their first ones.   AR = gun ebola.   You has the ebola. You're doomed.
  20. Also, OP, here's a good primer on Tennessee gun laws:   http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/tennessee.pdf
  21.   I learned something new today. Reading from here:     How does that work? Just exchange a permit from one of those states for ours?    Also, welcome to TN, OP. You are in a fine part of the state!!
  22. I'm a big guy, so I'll jump in. I generally carry a G19 OWB, but use a Crossbreed Supertuck for IWB. I've tried a lot of different IWB holsters, but for me, there is nothing more comfortable and better suited.    I get my jeans a size larger and make sure my shirts have a long enough tail for cover my weapon. The easiest way to print is to wear a shirt that's too tight.
  23. That would be a negative. See page 3. They're supposed to provide secure storage for your weapon... see page 4.   http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/indiana.pdf
  24. I'm going to keep my own views, for better or worse, to myself. I'll play devil's advocate and bring out several viewpoints that get articulated often on these boards and others.   1. How does this compare to those who believe felons are entitled to their gun rights? If you believe in that point of view - guns for everyone, period - why not give these guys unfettered access at the range?    2. Some folks believe strongly in private property rights. Why doesn't this range operator have a right to choose who steps foot on the grounds?   3. Others believe in open access for everyone, everywhere, all the time, without the right of refusal. This would include folks who believe private property owners should not have the right to ban guns from the property (the classic property rights < individual rights). Why should she have the right to ban an entire class of people?     Lots of different interests and issues going on here, all rolled up neatly into one microcosm.
  25. According to some of these folks, coyotes = rapists and home invaders in how we're supposed to treat them, right?   Just give them what they want!   You know, just your loved ones, your body, and everything you work hard for. Sounds like a good solution to me.
