  1. Paging Kenan Thompson! P.S. Don't take your eyes off the teleprompter!
  2. "Give me some gas money" sounds more like "Give me your money" as opposed to "Can you help me out?" Flashing a weapon in support of said demand is a clear and direct threat.
  3. I share the sentiments of many here that a man should take care of himself and his own. My workplace is in an isolated area and I can not rely on law enforcement to bail me out of a bad situation. I choose not to be a victim, but rather a liberator of them.

How much did you have to bribe someone to put your handle on a post-it? Sweet piece, wish I could get my hands on one!
  5. I'll play the game. I will take "F" for $600, Alex.
  6. I thought that discourse and discussion was what college was all about. If you don't like it, don't buy it. But to remove that product is not a neutral/apolitical decision in and of itself. I heard all kinds of liberal BS from "professors" and it was fine for a student to agree with them. But if you had another view.. look out.
  7. I recommend: From the Shadows: The Ultimate Insider's Story of Five Presidents and How They Won the Cold War by the freshly re-retired Robert Gates. I read it about a year before he became Defense Secretary in '06. It is a GREAT read and has stuck with me since I read it... a lot of the topics he talks about from 1980's Afghanistan are the same issues - and people - that are involved now. Amazon link
  8. Nice, Jeff! Always knew you were a smart guy!
  9. Handgunlaw.us would suggest that the MN permit is not recognized in FL. Also, the FL out-of-state resident issue has not done them any favors on reciprocity.
  10. A ban on guns at car shows is roughly equivalent to a ban on cars at gun shows.
  11. Can we say "monetizing the debt"? If this came to pass, RAMPANT inflation would slap us silly. Can a giant platinum coin save our credit? - Ezra Klein - The Washington Post What's interesting is that this has 100% legal traction/plausibility.
  12. I would rather die fighting than surrender in these situations. A gun on the hip is a pre-conceived decision to act in the face of adversity.
  13. Nice! Almost like a 27XL.
  14. On top of that, you would see even more tax farming and offshore subsidiaries than you already see now. THIS is what is driving jobs out of the US economy and the tax revenue/spending/activity that it creates.
  15. Yessir. I have the degree to prove it. I stand by the previous statements. Just the same, we caught a huge peace dividend - a lot money that had been spent on defense went towards other programs or just wasn't spent - thus the surpluses. And yes, war has historically pulled our economy out of a rut. Global war, that is, not regional wars like the ones we're stuck in.
  16. TCA 48-13-102: Tennessee state law is very clear - there is no distinction between an individual owner and a corporate owner. Ownership is ownership. Further, I believe this part of the law makes it clear that a business has complete and full rights under the law. The corporation acts through its directors, officers, or other authorized agent. A business has an ABSOLUTE right to restrict what comes through its doors.
  17. Huge +1. Nobody wants to give up their pet projects and pork for the home team. Decades of that kind of politics, plus all our wars, plus the Cold War brings us to where we are today. Why were the 1990s so hot? Big spending cuts and inflation, both of which are coming soon in a big, big way.
  18. Would you recognize the right of management to ask a disruptive guest/customer to leave? Is No shirt, No shoes, No service unreasonable? What about the right to report stolen property? How about just the right to own property? Is a business required to hire a certain person or do they have the right to choose their employees? All of these things fall under currently enacted federal and state law, including the right to restrict HCP holders from carrying on the property. It is not the person, it is the property of the person being asked to leave. I believe this is a key difference. Corporations are legal entities with full rights to own and operate property and make policy. Accordingly, a business has a right to choose who comes on to its property as much as what comes on its property. If you don't like the "opt-out" law, write your state representative and seek its repeal just like any other law you disagree with.
  19. Did you watch the entire video? The threats seem EXTREMELY clear to me. If someone says he should have taken two steps back, pulled his weapon, put 10 rounds in me, and then let me drop... I'm gonna take that as a pretty clear threat!!
  20. Rah, you guys are no fun!
  21. As of this moment, the Canton PD Facebook page is toast. Imagine that. Police :: Police Department :: cantonohio.gov as a reference to their proper Facebook listing
  22. I'm not usually a fan of stippling, but I can appreciate the work you've done. Very nice!
  23. +1. Academy Sports has nearly identical language.
  24. I have had pleasant interactions with the police over the years, both as the one being pulled over and when responding to alarm calls at work. It is unfortunate that guys like the ones in this video ruin that kind of confidence for all of the good cops that are out there. I also believe it unfair to bash cops in general. If you have had an unpleasant experience with particular officer, it is fair to rate your experience with that person, but not his department/city/county/state/country/planet as a class. I REALLY hope that the powers that be in Canton get this one right. Jerks like those portrayed in the video are just begging to have posters made in their image.
  25. I'll start: G21SF with Picatinny rail and night sights Streamlight TLR-1 13 wholesome rounds of 230 grain goodness
