So... what happens to existing HCP holders, especially Lifetime HCP holders? I dare say there's no mechanism or equation that's been thought out.

I'm not normally a fan of that type of work, but that looks good and is tastefully done.

Open and Concealed Carry- How do you do it?
Glock30 replied to Ronald_55's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
IWB.... G17/19/26 in a Crossbreed Supertuck. Been using the same holster for 6 or 7 years and it's functionally as good as day 1. OWB... G17/19/26 in a DeSantis speed scabbard. Great rention without the thumb break, hugs the pistol close to the body for moderate concealment under a shirt. Gone through my fair share of holsters, those are the two that work best for me. -
Would that be the NY2?

I've EDC'd a Streamlight 88030 for about 6 months, absolutely love it. Use it regularly and haven't been able to destroy it yet. Good solid light for the money. Link

If you do end up with a Glock, try to find an older Gen3 or Gen2 with machined tool steel small parts, rather than MIM parts. I have noticed in my own limited sample size that MIM parts have extraction problems with steel cased ammo. Never a problem with quality brass or nickel plated ammo. That and I just like the idea of old school machining over MIM As always, YMMV Also, have you checked out a G43?

Few pistols have more aftermarket support than a Glock. Between being easy to shoot, easy to clean and disassemble, adaptable to any need, and readily marketable if you need to sell... what more can you ask for?

Post the last firearm related thing you bought!

Handful of Glock +2 extensions and inserts for G26 mags, plus spares. Glock extended slide release plus a few spares. And the obligatory black Glock t-shirts (for $8, no brainer!) -
Steel core. Check. Green tip. Check Pre-ban? Check check check. Is that import or domestic? Is it just as good as those "other" brands?

But the recoil is a pleasure :)

You could probably slash the tires and a Toyota will still run fine down the interstate. I love mine!

From USMC to NIKE... and California to Tennessee

Thanks for your service and welcome to Tennessee! -
What pistols would you add to this collection?(Light topic, for fun only)

I'll chime in with another vote for the Shield. I swear by the Glock 19 and wore one on my wedding day, but for those days I need something smaller, the Shield is my answer (for now). It is the single stack 9mm that Glock will regret not making. -
Smith and Wesson called... they want their Sigma back

http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/illinois.pdf Please see the end of Page 9 and beginning of Page 10 about vehicle carry in Illinois. Out of staters with a valid permit from their home state are permitted to keep one in their car. This came along with the carry permit law being passed in recent times. :)

I have been eyeing these since they came out. Would love to know how it shoots.

Always carry with one in the pipe.

The testimonials section is :shake: Those are EXTREMELY expensive snap caps. -
You did good! Fun, isn't it? :)

Did you check the mirror for scary people before you started cruising the scary internet? ;) In all seriousness, I share the amusement in videos that get posted, especially the implied rules associated with them. I'll be on the lookout for a hall monitor the next time my cargo shorts don't meet someone's approval for how an open carrier ought to dress. Edit: Those with closed minds in our community are almost as bad as the closed minds of the antis..... Almost

Are jeans not an option for open carry? :D I'm more concerned with how a person walks, talks, and acts - as opposed to their general appearance.
