Depending on the cut of my pocket, I can and do carry an MK9. My first carry gun was a SP101, I currently rotate between the MK9 and a CZ P01 SDP, handgun weight is a less important factor for me. With a good belt, holster and proper fitting pants it is amazing how much stuff you comfortably carry on the waist and/or in pockets.

Dogs were also instrumental in primitive societies moving from hunter/gatherer. Protecting herds, villages, etc. Prior to the Victorian Period, most dogs were pretty similar, it was the mid 1800s whene selective breeding started resulting in the variety we have today.

Not much to steal in the hood; my guess is the homes worth robbing in the hood have owners who would meet the perp with extreme prejudice and an illegally obtained handgun
