  1. Last few days I've priced checked GM, WM, Academy and SMKW. Prices are similar across the sample at $12-$15 per 50, mix of 115 / 124 depending on brand. Best, but limited time price was at academy for Monarch Brass at $10.99 and Monarch Steel for 8.99 All fmj pistol calibers were in stock with WM (chapman highway) having the lowest selection. SMKW is worth a visit if you are a SIG girl or guy. It appears they have made some kind of commitment to SIG based on display space and a nice selection of pistols and long guns in stock
  2. Check out Gemini Customs. Marc does awesome work on Rugers (1st hand experience)
  3. Seeing how 10mm is not painted as a go to caliber for most ladies, I thought my comment was framed with humor. Since my humor was not appreciated nor understood a swing was taken at weak wristing and not liking 10mm. I'll accept the shot at my percieved lack of skill and knowledge, apologize for offending anyone's sensibilities and endeavor to post more politically correct attempts at humor.
  4. Heavy tariffs on all imports to put US companies first or just applied to formerly based US companies?
  5. Aha! Proof Glock 20/21 are chick guns...lol
  6. Pfizer is merging with the smaller Scots - based Allergan, about a $160,000,000,000.00 deal. Reducing corp tax rate from 35% to 18%. When you know cost will increase due the labor necessary to administer and oversee burdensome government regulations to be "legally compliant" as well as employees compensation (read that - health insurance) you can... Either raise price or reduce expense to maintain margins required by your shareholders. It may even be an Avenue for this monster of Pharma to actually reduce price since they can play the Walmart game. I'm also sure there are folks in guv'mint who believe it should be illegal to move your business due to negative economic impact and you should be required to stay put or pay a large exit tax for your selfish, greedy, un-American behavior.
  7. I meant to say I really, really, REALLY mean it...lol
  8. Double post
  9. After my buddy returned from deployment in south/west Africa, Hollywood's spin from Lord of War and all the friendlies in North Africa - I can't see an African Tour in my future
  10. I'd say the 9mm supply/demand has shifted in favor of the consumer (at least in the short term)
  11. "Certainly sir, with my new living wage, your total comes to $14.64, did you want fries with that?" 1 TRILLION in student loan debt folks...
  12. Or PM Randy and ask, "if I bring this kind of ammo, do you have something cool I could shoot it out of?" "Yes"
  13. On my calendar...should be there. Travel time from Knox?
  14. Let's talk about a real tragedy in higher education...$1,000,000,000 in student loan debt with more college grads than jobs...they don't have enough earning capacity to ever pay it off...hope the parents haven't converted that old bedroom yet...
  15. And I thought criminals got their guns from loophole law gun shows and straw purchasers. Apparently they steal them from legal owners and retailers (or furnished by the DOJ)
  16. Went from "ours" to "mine" I wish my wife was that cool...lol
  17. In health class (required) back in the 80's (still in the school budget) we were taught advanced first aid; cpr, compression banadaging, etc.
  18. Really enjoyed your review. I had to finish a class with a revolver after my semi went down... I'd like to quote Randy, "we'll all wait while AJ parties like it's 1899," specifically referring to reload times. Without a lot of practice, speed strip aren't and speed loader are only slightly better.
  19. Having been down the investigation and use road, here is some info I discovered. 1. It is deeper concealment than you might expect, practice kneeling, pulling up your pants leg and drawing. 2. As Patton amd frankmako noted, Galco has great reviews. The Renegade cosy partner being a step down and the Alessi ankle glove being 2 steps above. 3. For me, a calf strap is worth the extra dollars. 4. I started with a $20 Bulldog to see if I'd like it... 5. Turns out I'm not a huge fan of ankle carry EXCEPT for urban driving - great access if you've got a BG at your car window.
  20. Did you get the CZC docs in the box?
  21. Happy Sunday to you too!
  22. When my wife started shooting she started on a Walther p22; it would not reliably cycle bulk .22 Consequently, I bought "high line" CCI in the clear acrylic box....I swear I was paying about $5/50 for "good" .22lr I know the box of Aquila 60gr sub sonic I traded to Dolo was 4.99 / 50 (price was still on the box)
  23. Joe Biden was dead serious
  24. I saw on the internet that a shotgun was most effective when simply racking the action and/or indiscriminate discharge into the air. Good review along with your report from the revolver class.
