  1. When I bought my Metro Arms commander at the GUN SHOW a few years back, it was 425 OTD. I haven't seen a MA 1911 for sale in recent history and not for less than 600
  2. For you LGS owners, be aware that on average 40% of consumers buy on price...take heart because the good news n is 60% of your customers buy on value. Provide enough value and a great customer experience and you may convert some of the price only buyers...
  3. Yep, keep the CMP from legally selling firearms to citizens who can legally buy them. That way, these legally obtained firearms can't find their way into the hands of the criminal element through theft or straw purchase. Trickle down theory
  4. Here's a cold war option which I have been debating since I have a CZ handgun to go with it. http://www.southernohiogun.com/handguns/surplus-handguns/pps-43c-pistol.html SBR it, mount a modern site and I think it would be a bad-@$$ PDW. downside is the hollow points ain't cheap and modern ball is about .50 a rattle The 10" barrel is reported to be the optimal length for the 7.62x25, but I can't cite the source
  5. Affordable = HiPoint in this category. Got one, TS stock, like it, never failed, ran it in a one day rifle class with Randy, $30 BSA red dot works well with low recoil, with a front bi pod fun plinking for 50-100 yards, has rails, cheap (ish) to shoot. Longevity? Who knows, it's not a main battle rifle and as a home defense/plunked are you really going to wear it out? 10 round mags make for a lot of reloads... Most failures occur due to the inconsistent specs on the mag lips, a quick Google search cab explain better than I. That nutnfancy YouTube guy did a pretty complimentary video
  6. Just in case Christians...lol Is that like being a little pregnant? Jesus warns the hypocrites numerous times and best i can tell, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob doesn't have blind spots.

    CZ75B

I just got a comptac kydex paddle for my P01, rapidly becoming a fan.
  8. How many can they sell at MSRP to cover start up cost? For $900, you can ship off your ruger or smith and get a pretty slick revolver. Will the Kimberly be comparable out of the box? It's a new product line...
  9. There are two novels, Hombrecito's War and Hombrecito's Search which feature the .45-70 as long range justice...
  10. I'm a CZ fan. EDC'ed a 75B Omega for years before down-sizing to a P01 SDP Fwiw, I think the P01 frame is even a better "fit" for my hand over the 75B.
  11. If the brick and mortar provides good to over-the-top servive, professionalism, quality products and a consultative sales approach, why begrudge the extra margin they earn? If it's all about price, we will watch the LGS industry die a slow death.
  12. I think the plan was to crush Walgreens / CVS in markets that could not support a traditional big box.
  13. Contact Marc at Gemini Customs. My only experience is with my 3" SP101 - I feel he created a modern "heirloom" and super bad compact combat revolver. My buddy also has a GC 2" SP and 3" GP
  14. LMAO! Best post of the day award
  15. The Istanbul bomber listed "refugee" on his docs...
  16. Stumbled across this wasting time with googlefu http://blueridgeprepper.com/25-super-awesome-pvc-projects-home/
  17. Flew yesterday to Palm Springs, no pat down, but I have in the past...flying is a total pita...if I can get there in 10 hours by car, I drive.
  18. Cool, I like it
  19. Off body carry = greater responsibility for the owner to ensure firearm security
  20. They were trying to prove the urban myth of one bad experience with WDW and you get your $5k vacation comp'd.
  21. Please post a range report on the 97!
  22. Welcome to the CZexy side.
  23. Most of your local credit unions will have a community charter, meaning if you live/work/worship within a geographic footprint, you can join. Typically better value/service than a large bank corp, more similar to a small local/regional bank with lower / no fees. Make sure they are part of the "co-op" ATM network. First Community, Cornerstone, The Tennessee Credit Union and Ascend are a few to check out. You've got 15+ community credit unions in greater Nash to choose from...
  24. Once again, someone makes a pile of money and automatically believes their opinion has value, merit and is relevant. Dude producers films which glorify violence, gangsterism and criminal behavior. The use of the gun in his movies is the first choice, last choice and only choice to end conflict. I'll wait until it hits commercial broadcast cable
