  1. Blazer brass and Aquila in quantity (3/18) Confirm Vero's sighting
  2. What is the range of price points you're seeing on the WASRs?
  3. I bought a 6" king cobra in 1989 for $369 plus tax. Sold it in 2003 for $600. No regrets, it was cool, great SA if I remember correctly, the roll mark awesome, it sat in the safe and I've never been a gun collector...I shoot what I own and I don't overly worry about cosmetic wear and tear.
  4. Regardless of the upgrades, once you break it in, make sure the mags lips are to spec and clean/maintain as you would any firearm, the brand is hard to knock. I think the Internet has proven these exploding pot metal guns are actually safe to operate and can be reliable. I ran my 995 carbine with $40 BSA redspot in a Randy Class and it performed flawlessly.
  5. Stopped on on my way home, had cases of .22lr, assorted brands, appeared market competitive pricing. 9mm 115 fmj, 11.99 / 50. Not awesome, but fair. Excellent selection of Sig arms and ammo
  6. Shamelessly stolen, but welcome to the CZexy side...
  7. Btt and wanted to make sure you got my donation. Thank you both for your passion and sacrifice!
  8. Once upon a time I had a guy working for me who came from the "troubled yoot industry" He claimed some of his kids drank diluted bleach to cheat urinalysis drug testing...hell kids are licking toads and snorting bath salts to get high...
  9. Only issue I had was at John Sevier, RSO was collecting my .30 call carbine brass. When I gave him the look, he said another RSO had a collection of M1Cs and was an avid reloader...I thanked him for collecting my brass...and haven't been back
  10. What's the worry, the libs say militant Muslims only represent a paltry 1% of the group, not the 15% reported by the islamophobes. 1% of 3 (to 8) million practicing Muslims in the US is nothing to be concerned about. Except liars figure and figures don't lie...a small percentage of a huge number is still a big number.
  11. I do most of the grocery shopping and taught my wife to look at the unit price. Yes that box of cheerios may be the family size or on sale, but look at your cost per cheerio...or oz/lbs/etc.
  12. OS has a cool kydex pocket holder with built in mag pouch for his Kahr...
  13. Don't own a HP, but have had the opportunity to shoot them a few times. I like the ergos over a 1911 pattern.
  14. Does everyone negotiate with every retailer to offset tax or Internet price match or just with those greedy LGS owners?
  15.   When I did private student loan lending way back in the late 80s, .gov "guaranteed" the loan in the event of default and we performed proper due diligence on the servicing side.   .gov took the loan, attempted to collect, when it was deemed uncollectible, it was sold to collection agencies for pennies on the dollar to recover a portion of the loss.   I am pretty sure the same thing happens today with the exception of .gov is in the direct origination business big time.   .gov is certainly going to exercise it's police power today (wage garnishment / refund seizure) - if they deem you ain't got nothing to get via payroll deduct, then they'll flip you to a third-party agency.   Private originators are border line worse than predatory credit card lenders. Statements set quarterly with little baby minimum due (interest-only) payments...it's like renting your education forever...   On a hardship, arrange for $5 - $10 / month and try to negotiate for zero interest, I'd bet they'd agree to a consistent payment plan even for 172 years over ZERO. Get back on your feet, got a few hundred bucks, offer them a settlement.   If we take the estimated outstanding student loan debt of $1 Trillion http://www.consumerfinance.gov/newsroom/student-debt-swells-federal-loans-now-top-a-trillion/ and stretch it out over 360 payments and assume a modest 4% interest rate, the monthly payments are only $4,774,152,954.65 (yes that is 4 Billion)   Do the debt holders or will the debt holders ever have that kind of earning capacity?   Here's a genius revelation from the above referenced CFPB report   Interestingly, the analysis reveals that student loan borrowers are now less likely to have mortgage debt and auto debt than those without student loans, reversing a longstanding trend. This is consistent with tabulations of the Federal Reserve Board’s triennial Survey of Consumer Finance, which show increases in the portion of younger households with outstanding student loan debt and decreases in the portion of younger households with outstanding mortgage and auto debt.   If you got a truck load of student loan debt, you won't QUALIFY for a mortgage or auto loan due to your debt ratio or DTI (outgo divided by income - in the lending world - debt reported on your credit bureau is your outgo) , 50% or less is a good rule of thumb, 40% from a lender's perspective is even better.   As with most things, we perverted what a student loan was for. It stopped being about education, room, books and board; rather many chose to live off student loans in lieu of working, chose to travel, join clubs and party like rock stars to get the full college experience.
  16. Since the ACA is a tax and tax enforcement falls under the police power of the IRS, I can see student loan default being released classified as criminal / intent to commit tax fraud.
  17. The Fed got into the student loan biz to fund the ACA (in part) They saw the profits generated by private originators and servicers and assumed a guvmint agency would be just as efficient and profitable as the private sector.
  18. Enjoy your vids as always...getting rid of the General Lee? Lol
  19. With the IRS and BATFE, this dude is so far past effed he couldn't get a ticket back to effed. Never watched the show, don't know who he is nor do I care...
  20. 1 trillion is student loan debt, 17% + default rate, 6 million more college grads than college grad jobs, tax refunds seized, wage garnishments approved but the only way to make them pay is physical force by guv'mint.
  21. OS is correct, 6 months expired = start fresh with class and background check. No re-certification required.
  22. I'll play along... Round in chamber, tension is removed from the slide to break down (remote pin, flip level, etc) IF the trigger is pulled at this point would the gun fire? If it did discharge, isn't the slide being free from the frame going to change the function? All guns are always loaded, keep your finger off the trigger, then proceed with caution.
  23. Mine expired, so I went on down to the Blount County Department of Homeland Security on 1/29/16 Hour processing time with photo op. Remitted $87 in cash Received new HCP 2/13/16 The state granted legal permission to exercise my 2A Right expires 2023
  24. I occasionally carry a pair of SP101s. Cold weather, top or overcoat with easy access pockets.
