Thought it was a good investment of time, travel and training. What I learned: I finished the timed drills before time was up, if I slow my roll my accuracy should likely improve. Learned some 3 yard accuracy shooting drills, can use live and dry. Should further improve my 20-30 yard shooting. Why I was a little trigger happy: After extensive dry fire in DA @6.5#, when I got to live fire in SA @ 3.5#, it was magic, that wanted to go fast. Made some new friends and Bob K is an inspiration, his stroke recovery is nothing but amazing - a testament to a commit to hard work, commitment to therapy and a positive attitude. For gear, I used my High Noon Upper Cut, a high riding AIWB. One of my favorites and a budget price point. Because of the belt loops on my pants, I couldn't position my owb mag holder where I wanted it, so I worked out of pockets, specifically my field coat with large square-cut flapped pockets. Had to slow down my reloads a bit to ensure a good grip on the fresh mag. On a side note, I test fired my M1 Carbine with new rail. Partial fail. Back to the drawing board. Consider training with Randy, he's a pretty good dude. I checked, been his client since June 2012

Who has the AR15 low-price loss-leader? I may crack if the deal is stoopid -
Mrs Monkeyman 2500 may be in the loop on rescues, she may even have a candidate for you

I've gone brain dead with all the red dot / reflex research done for my M1 carbine project. I think you'll like the 2 moa dot and it appears some good quality optics in the $200-$300 range. I have a Burris FF2 on the way. Methinks at the $450 plus you enter soldier proof / heavy duty equipment club. I need my stuff to be civilian proof and medium to light duty. To muddy your waters, good experiences reported with Primary Arms from actual TGO owners.

I actually did some recent research, Moped is right, the PTR does have a better reputation. If it was me, I would save up and pay the extra. Moped also mentioned ungainly, which is why I wouldn't. I'm 5'9" with a 32"-33" arm.

Rifle Ranges in the K-Town and Maryville area
A.J. Holst replied to trentatron's topic in General Chat
I've been using Buds for sighting in my rifles, 25 yards, indoors, Range Officer will lend you a chair. 20ish minute from my neighborhood in Seymour I like the rail system, no bouncing on wires and setting distance is a breeze. $20/hour Then outside, I'm pretty well ready to shoot with minor adjustments and have fun. Outside I'm fortunate to have private property -
Shouldn't all the libs be out buying guns to protect themselves from the oppression on the way from the Donald and his Minions?

I travel a lot, up to 4000 miles per month. I try to use the facilities at my clients' place of business. At times, it is necessary to stop for an urgent haircut. Over time, I have identified better exits, that look safer and have clean facilities. If I get hassled in a bathroom, here is how I will handle it

Travelled southbound today. No traffic ahead, set my cruise to 45. State Trooper observed giving a ticket; be a part of the solution, not the problem and observe the speed limit for 9 miles. Never had to touch my brake, so a better experience than 55 with some wanting to make a left or slowing down for a side road or driveway

Accu-Tite receiver mating system. What is that besides a Bill Clinton attention getter?

I checked out a 97B at Harvey's Pawn and gun...nice! Love my 75B Omega and SDP Congrats

I used density based in the speed limit, it is typically based on population density. I agree with you now that I live out here, do the effing speed limit, stay right as much as possible, watch the left hand turn and the idiot dodging the left hand turn. There is a definite 50 presence in the safety zone

The cost and scope to slightly straighten and widen 441 for that stretch exceeds the amount of voters impacted. Not enough business or residential density, just a through way with seasonal out of area traffic. The truth about Chapman Highway, it is slightly banked in the curves which adds for safety at 55, but encourages higher speeds in a great car, even if you can't drive.

The colonization of Africa and collapse of imperialism post WWI opened the door for multi national conflicts even through today. Even by 1961, how many military weapons were already scattered across the continent? With the Irish heritage of depravation, I'd bet these guys scourged every bit of kit they could find. At least my guess as to why the variety of weapons employed.

South of 411 intersection. An effort to slow down traffic southbound on US 441. Southbound lanes changed from 2 thru lanes to a left hand turn lane, thru lane and occasional right hand truck lanes. Best advice, stay in the left and be mindful of the idiots using those right hand truck lanes to pass on the right or those who are unfamiliar with the traffic patterns. While the locals will eventually figure out the traffic patterns, the tourist and out of area truck drivers will keep it plenty exciting. Northbound has longer 2 lane stretches, same advice, stay in the left I think the flashing info sign said 9 miles. Speed limit is 45, smokey is watching.

Nice work, but the MK9 holster is still the coolest.

Micro reflex recommendations?

The budget Miller sp1 red dot I started with may work, wish me luck. -
Welcome. Great source of information and a good group of folks willing to collaborate I'm jealous, I think Guns n More and their screaming TGO deals are in Smyrna.

Micro reflex recommendations?

Length and yes RMR sized. The new rail is 3" and sits far enough back so it shouldn't interfere with ejection. I should get an original rear sight, but am determined to spend enough money to learn a lesson or have it work
