  1. Didn't someone post about Buffalo Bore coming out with some hard cast .30 carbine?
  2. Was he cheating you at cards?
  3. I liked my first one so much, I got a second one for a designated shooter. Easy to operate and maintain. Cleaning is a breeze. Fun and satisfying to shoot. I would recommend the 15 round mags, the full(er) 30s can sag without a type 3(?) Mag release. Ammo can be found on the shelf, but expect a price point in excess of .50/Rd Nice selection of varmint and self / home defense rounds available from Speer, Hornady, and others. Lots of on line resources with a simple Google search. Congrats on a cool piece of modern history
  4. Nothing more addictive than drugs to .Gov except for new sources of tax revenues. Besides, what's wrong with a little reefer?
  5. I for one would not gamble on pot and guns. Correct me if I'm wrong, but add a gun to a marijuana charge and go from misdemeanor to felony. "Tell it to the judge, and sir, watch your head as you enter the patrol car."

  7. Thought I'd share what I learned during this skills evaluation class. I can shoot just accurately enough to qualify for the FBI and/or Federal Air Marshal. Many people could shoot just accurately enough to qualify, given my leisurely times in lieu of the official qualifying times. My triple retention cover garments did slow me down. I was triple layered; everyday untucked/unbuttoned cover shirt, (un) zippered hoodie, medium weight cotton twill field jacket. Normally, the hoodie is excluded and I am reasonably well practiced sweeping back 1 - 2 garments. Adding the extra layer caused me to partially sweep the shirt and not getting a smooth draw. Once the pistol was clear, I noticed an outward movement of my arms to clear the bulkiness of all three layers of clothing. Not smooth, not fast. Had never thought about it since I've never been timed when shooting bulked up. Gives me something to think about as I do occasionally wear triple retention cover garments when away from the castle. Would my times had been good enough with a single cover garment? No. I've got lots of room to improve. Shot my CZ SDP for the FBI drill. This was a replacement for my 75. I like CZs and thought it would be the perfect replacement for the 75. The SDP is a great pistol - CZ Custom put out a nice product, thousands of trouble free rounds, got a cool NSN, slightly smaller and lighter. Been my primary carry for the last 2 years. Then I shot my old stock 75B Omega for the Air Marshal. I carried this pistol for 2ish years in a N82 Tactical. Hadn't worked this pistol or even shot it in over 2 years. I fell back in love. I am seriously considering carrying it again. After a trip to Cajun Gun Works. Simply like it better. I did Mexican carry my extra mags for the drills. Probably not OSHA approved, but I forgot mag pouch. Test fired my M1 Carbine, it's finally alive. One more mod on the optics mount and I may try a short-range rifle class. Opted out of the shotgun drill. Good conversation had by all.
  8. I've bought parts for my CZ52 through Numrich.
  9. Since I've gotten back into the .380 club with my Kimber, I wish I still had my Bersa Thunder Plus.
  10. I too stopped in last week. 30 round PMAG, 11.99 223/556 starting at 11.99 per box of 20 S&W M&P 15 $619
  11. Occasionally. My favorite is my 75B Omega which occasionally falls under, "has gun, will travel." Go to EDC is a P01 SDP.
  12. Thought I'd try to give a quick review now that the new has worn off. I'll start by saying this is my first AR. I've been distracted from purchasing since my M1 Carbine rebuild and modernization journey of numbskullery is within $25 or less of being completed...One more test and one more cut... From the above pic, the only add on is the sling, carried forward from my M1 Carbine. I'm pretty sure the sling is WWII vintage and like Martha Stewart, I'm happy to be able to repurpose it. I actually wanted the fixed front sight for a few reasons. I would like to learn how to shoot well with irons; it seems to be a dying art and optics break. The front sight is up/down adjustable with a spring loaded detent. The rail gives some options, but I'm staying practical with this one. The rear sight is a Magpul MBUS, which is a modern polymer. It seems pretty robust for a piece of plastic; I've been clicking it open and closed and I'm pretty impressed. If'n it breaks, I'll upgrade. The aperture has a large and small setting by flipping a tab of plastic. I'd be skeptical of this small piece holding up under commercial use. Under my use, probably my lifetime. 5.56 x 1:9 twist barrel No frills front handguard, I am absolutely clueless over the quality. In keeping with my practical theme, I'm not looking to add any accessories, so it works for me. Forward assist and dust cover - check One 30 round PMAG Gen M2 I hated the grip and everytime I gripped it I hated it more, it had to go. Replaced it within 24 hours of purchase with a Magpul MOE + grip...Aaahhh, now I'm happy again. Trigger seems more than acceptable. Stock has S&W logo embossed, nice touch though it does rattle, I'm assuming they all do. Not a huge concern in my world. I did look under the hood and everything seemed to be neat, tidy, and as it should be. I've got to clean and lubricate, then we'll be shooting it Sunday.
  13. It will be joining us. All it needs is a better grip, the factory is not good.
  14. Uber excited, especially the price, $499++
  15. Would like to check one out, since they spent the the extra money for a NSN.
  16. Guns too? I've never asked, but their policy says g&a is excluded from price match.
  17. If I didn't have GM gift cards, I'd rarely shop here, prices at typically higher than the competition
  18. Dear Dave, Our company policy prohibits us from selling face plates as replacement by non authorized technicians will void the factory warranty. We are happy to assist you with a new unit for an amazing one time offer of 40% off MSRP. All the best, Jimmy B1
  19. Free Bump For a good time call...
  20. I'll chime in with .380 since I just got one. Did some googling and found 99gr HST Micro. Checked YouTube, revealed good expansion, average 8-9 penetration. At 3 yards face to face, I figure it's adequate. From an angle, adding for arms and multiple layers (shirt-arm-shirt-shirt-then torso) not so much. FWIW, 40 rounds of flawless operation in a Kimber Micro. Picked them up from WM of all places. I was also pleased to see .380 fmj for under $14/50 depending on brand. And it's true, I don't have to out run the bear, I just have to out run you...
  21. Hope we get a good response!
  22. Enjoyed the show, lady can sing...though I'll not be rushing out to ever purchase Pepsi zero...
  23. Prayers for a pain free recovery!
