Please accept my virtual welcome to the Volunteer State! Info abounds here, just need to ask. I also think this is the best gun forum on the 'net.

No one has qualified for a free cruise? 3 last week. I too am on the lam from the IRS, my agent who left the message did not have an American accent. 75% of all data breach / identity theft situations are from social engineering. Phishing via phone text, email Don't click on that link, button, email unless you are sure of the sender!

Tennessee shops that speak "milsurp"?

If anyone spots a Swiss K31 let me know -
Just found these guys... http://www.gunbroker.com/All/BI.aspx?Sort=13&IncludeSellers=2621012&PageSize=25 I'm watching a few of their CZ 83s (and a MKIII HP) I think they bought all the used steel 9mm Smiths, they got a bunch.

Plank tile can have a slight bow, laying off set 1/3 or 1/4 "hides" it. Also decide if you want a consistent brick pattern or random pattern. Setting 1000 sf of residential tile with odd cuts, assume 1 day of prep, set 100-300 sf max per day, grout following day, clean 4th day. With full access. Thats 2 weeks or so. This is THE tile forum. I was member when I was in the industry. http://www.johnbridge.com/vbulletin/index.php Keep this in mind for tile work: Fast + cheap won't be good Fast + good won't be cheap Good + cheap won't be fast Good hunting, good tile men are as scarce as Buffalo

The good tile men / companies are booked for 6+ months, prices for proper tile installation should start at $3 / sf, straight lay, no pattern, have 5% - 15% extra tile, and wood plank tile should be set on 1/3 break or less. I ran a large tile company at one time, I'm not setting my own tile.

I got a photo ticket on Chapman Highway at Walmart about a year ago. I wasn't paying attention to the stale green and was in the point of no return. $50? Paid on line About 3 years ago I got one in my company car (oops) and went to court in Knox County, $200 ish, brought cash. Full disclosure: I was speeding not maybe, within the 5 mile buffer, high rate of speed in the left hand lane. Late to a meeting, ended up being very late. All us occasional law breakers were given the choice to plead guilty to the DA, if the DA recommended non adjudication and costs only, the judge would accept the offer and we were free. DA verbally and visually verified I was a citizen in good standing and recommended non adjudication. Judge: sir, you understand you are pleading guilty (and I am accepting the DA's recommendation) Yes sir, and thank you. Costs were equivalent to ticket fine. Now I stay way under the radar and rarely exceed the posted speed limit. In part, considerations for determining speed limits https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assured_Clear_Distance_Ahead#ACDA_Rule_specific_case_generalized_to_the_Basic_Speed_Law

Adding that one expensive firearm to the collection...
A.J. Holst replied to Ramjo's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
I'd like to add a Swiss K31. Should have bought from Aim Surplus about 3 years ago. -
The gratuitous nudity brings nothing to the show, it certainly makes Martin look like a perv. No more violence than the new Mad Max

News: Armed Robbery w/ a Twist
A.J. Holst replied to Wheelgunner's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
You noticed that too? Been robbed before, still carries big cash, but now plus gun. -
I thought you meant this type of squib http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Squib Cakes

Civil discourse between crusty Curmudgeons, bitter Boomers, entitled Millennials, awesome Gen Xers, Christians, Atheists, white collar, blue collar, retired, able bodied, disabled, female and male legal gun owners. Come on in, the water's fine!

Saw a recent statement regarding data breach, 25% are a result of a targeted attack. 75% are caused by the human element, clicking on that unknown link. Might not get access to the critical controls, but what about hvac? Dead of summer, max out that nuclear powered heat in the control room? The city of Alcoa guy remotely reads my meter, it's not too far a stretch to assume a hacker could remotely turn off my subdivision. Self driving cars now, T-800s tomorrow. Leroy, did you hide my tinfoil hat, can't seem to find it.

Not a fan of his politics, but this is great

I am curious how Winds of Winter will detail what we see on TV. Read the first book in 1997, patiently waited for subsequent editions. Not disappointed with the series, I actually appreciate how they've morphed characters and story lines without going way off the reservation.

WWI is horrifically fascinating, this is a great series: https://www.ahctv.com/tv-shows/apocalypse-wwi/ Gallipoli is highlighted. Can also recommend Jeff Shaara, "To the Last Man" https://g.co/kgs/eBCfnM

You are awesome. Be careful, when you pass, she may sell the lot based on what she thinks you paid.

2 brand name, well regarded, proven compact pistols for $199 each. What can the margin possibly be? The retailer makes 20-ish percent with some cash incentives from S&W? "Honey, you won't believe what these didn't cost me," said MonkeyLizard, "they were on sale WITH a rebate, just like those Kohl's bucks you get..." They're definitely trying to make it affordable for ALL law abiding citizens to own a "low capacity" firearm in all 50 states.

Within my wide variety, I've been trapped. Couldn't afford or wouldn't take a pay cut. Most importantly, I was unwilling to relocate. Bigger is not better and more stuff is just, more stuff. Low debt, not high income gives more freedom and choice.

May have purchased my final handgun:Range trip.

Saw a picture of the attic of Knoxville High School, circa 1949. 16 racks of 10, M1 Garands. Caption: ROTC Arsenal. Not locked or secured other than the door(s) for exit and entry. Couldn't take a pic of the pic, under glass in a display case, third floor old Knoxville court house

Definitely get a LinkedIn profile started, I get 5-7 leads 1 - 2 x week for jobs in sales. Create a master resume, tweak it to "match" key trigger words / phrases. If you electronically submit and the hiring department uses a doc reader for screening, you might be perfect, but you did hit the key words. Don't lie, but consider how to rephrase your skill and experience in their "language" Good luck, easier to find a new gig when you already got one.
