https://pjmedia.com/trending/police-find-huge-weapons-cache-in-mans-waikiki-hotel-room-subject-not-arrested/ The FBI alerted the Honolulu police to the subject's presence at the hotel and the man claimed to be hunting terrorists. According to Hawaii News Now, the FBI was concerned about his social media postings. "The FBI notified Honolulu police Thursday about a guest in room 803 at the Equus Hotel, saying he was claiming to be a federal agent in disturbing posts on social media. The 38-year-old claimed his mission was to hunt terrorist cells," the report said. The man's arsenal included: An AR-15, and 15 high-capacity magazines — all loaded. A shotgun and two handguns. A total of more than 800 rounds of ammunition, plus 18 military styles knives and body armor. MILITARY STYLE KNIVES???!!!

This was my coolest car, I guess fast is relative... Daily driver from 94 - 97, sold it to a good home, no regrets 1968 250SL, referred to as the Pagoda top from the hard top roofline. 4 speed inline 6, very torque-y and nimble in the curves thanks to a unique hinged rear suspension.

June 3 Point Blank Pistol Skills Knoxville TN
A.J. Holst replied to Cruel Hand Luke's topic in Training Discussions
Tips for a better experience. Camp chair, plenty of water, pack in lunch and snacks. I will have one shelter, more is better, zero shade, could get toasty... Should have good ground grooming, though if it rains, it will be pretty sloppy. I suggest bringing extra ammo, depending on how quickly we cycle through the drills, there may be time at the end. Bring an extra gun, if a semi - mags for it just in case your primary goes down. Bring a pistol you've been meaning to run and add to your EDC rotation. If you're curious about the limitations of a revolver, bring traditional speed loaders unless you have practice with not so speedy strips. If anyone can add other best practices or ideas for a great class, please post!- 13 replies

Stumbled across this title while traveling out of town. The author is Bernard Cornwell. I love historical fiction of all sorts, started with the Killer Angels and have been hooked since. This book takes place in 1809, British retreat across Spain, Richard Sharpe is a new lieutenant in The Rifles. The Rifles, or properly the 95th Regiment of Foot (ain't Google grand) carries the 1805 Baker Rifle equipped with a 24" sword bayonet. Pick up the series dead in the middle, it seems Richard started as a private, making Sergeant in India in 1799 as detailed in Sharpe's Tiger and ends in 1815 at Waterloo. My next trip out tof town, I found Sharpe's Tiger, now I'm hooked... Fun fact, Sean Bean plays Richard Sharpe in the Brit series and without watching, we know he makes it to the end. Cornwell is a prolific writer, I read his stand alone, Agnicourt. Real page turner. A Google or even Amazon search will reveal the different time periods he covers in the genre.

UPS. Anyone Having Issues Shipping Firearms with UPS?
A.J. Holst replied to Old Mitch's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
My buddy uses FedEx, as an AA pilot, he pays about $20. If the FFL will accept from a nonFFL, it's a good deal for him. Last time I used UPS or FedEx, it was $60ish and not properly disclosed. My best option is my LGS, he will charge me shipping based on his USPS rates, but no fees on outbound. OS tuned me into Fighting Sheepdog for transfers, if they're convenient, they are the low price leader. -
Avoid the D's? Don't go dumb places with dumb people doing dumb stuff at dumb hours.

I am tempted to restart the 13 for a fabulous Betta, just not tempted to commit.

Did my first water change and partial gravel cleaning. Added 3 more zebra danios, they are starting to school. If they form a gang, would they be zebros? The bristlenose pleco is pretty shy. Next school will be genetically modified white skirt tetras, Glofish brand. The last will be 4 panda Cory catfish or Otos

Assuming 10mm is as flexible for reloading as .41 and .44? Dare I say get a HP 10mm carbine? I also wonder if Ruger will offer a 10mm bolt face and barrel combo for their carbine down the road.

Anke Carry, my attempt at a review
A.J. Holst replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I too practice off hand shooting, almost exclusively with the Micro. I also practice RH to LH swap, which has become pretty smooth. Specifically for ankle carry, in the what if of a carjacking, I don't think I want to add the extra step of drawing with my left and swapping to right. You bring up a good training consideration, I need to add more off hand practice with my other carry pistols -

First time I've been in a WM in a while to do any shopping. Strolled through gunz n ammo. Good to great selection of WWB. I was forced to buy a 150 value pack of 124 9mm for $27 and change. As a side note, I haven't bought any Win ammo in 10 years (and I couldn't tell you why) Across the brands on the shelf, 9mm target ammo seems to be hovering around $10- $11 / 50 round box

Concur on Cajun Gun Works for parts if you like to DIY. From customer testimonials, instructions and videos are spot on. Or let David and his team tune it up for you. Shoot it before you start spending, it's hard to get it back later.

Thanks for the post. I hadn't considered the long term impact of the environment. Over the last four years, we've trained in all kinds of fun weather in the valley from 90+ dry and dusty to cold, wet, and muddy. My mags have ended up on the ground numerous times. A quick wipe and tap and I always been good to go. Factory (CZ) and MecGar mags. Does the gun make a difference? It has to, my CZs are approved to operate for commercial and industrial use. Yes, I know a platform made in 1975, but to Randy's point, the G19 has a strong track record as well (along with a stable of other pistols) I'm all for new, awesome, and innovation, but after a reasonable break in period, it needs to work, just like a hammer.

About 14 months ago, my wife bought a 13 gal fishtank and 4 starter goldfish. Had pretty good luck, though goldfish are not optimal for a long term aquarium. I decided to upgrade to a 29 gal tank. Traded in the now 5" voracious goldfish and started stocking with a baby bristlenose pleco and 3 zebra danios to cycle the tank. Went all plastic plants to reduce algae opportunity and installed an under gravel filter system. Next weekend, I'll add 3 more zebras. Once that school is established, Mrs. GtG wants a school of 6 harelequin rasboras and Glofish brand white skirt tetras.

Anke Carry, my attempt at a review
A.J. Holst replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I don't own a tuckable holster, hate them. My solution for deeper waistband concealment was a 4" max height handgun; that, plus a thin single stack may help with the tuck issue. -
Now that's funny. Assuming low round count, I'd call the seller to get a feel for the person. If they are pretty up to speed and have a go to FFL on their end, you're probably dealing with a seller trying to do the right thing.

The 75 is my go to EDC. I'd like something smaller and lighter, but no luck. (Maybe a PPS M2 or PPQ SC) A good belt and N82 Tactical holster have been satisfactory for dispersing the weight for AIWB. I'm 5'8" x 165# x 50 in June

My beloved CZs. The PO1 is actually an SDP from CZ Custom with Cajun Gun Works grips. I didn't like the czc grips, went to OEM rubber, and ended up with these. The 75B is an Omega that has been to Cajun Gun Works with Hakan Pek grips. I'm close to my 10 year anniversary with the Omega, 06 mfg date, I acquired in 08.
