Weapons-grade fruitcake? -
Almighty God, Please forgive my sins of this day, in my thoughts and words, what I have done and failed to do. Thank you for the gift of your son, Jesus Christ, who gladly takes my sins and burdens upon himself each and every day and whose blood washes me clean and makes me acceptable before you. Jesus, please let you be in my heart and in my mind and upon my lips and help me to reject Satan and all of his works, and resist the glamor and temptation of sin. Please have mercy on me, a sinner and help me be a better Christian tomorrow than I was today.

To fit a wide audience, provide a package price, someone may want a period shealth, stand, and box. Discount based on what accessories your potential buyer wants. It is an awesome work of art! -
Like Grayfox, I have a Sport II and have similar experiences. If I was so inclined, I would buy 8-10 boxes of assorted brands and weights of .233/.556, borrow a sled, and spend the day finding the most accurate ammo. Then I'd start spending money on practical parts and accessories to improve accuracy. Or buy or build a purpose driven platform

No completely shrouded, about 4" exposed. (Barreled receiver not installed) And yes, 10 round mags, I ordered 2- 20 Red Ball. The downside I see is how far they extend from the magwell. A quick inspection reveals the magwell has an removable/replaceable adapter, makes sense for different caliber HP mags, but maybe future potential like the Ruger PCC.

If we were looking for something big or a volume of one day shopping, I would have participated. I think my time is worth more than $20-$50 for traffic, crowds, and long lines for one off deals. Nor did I need to procure a Turbo Man. My curiosity is Cyber Monday ammo deals. It was way cheap Friday, how low can they go?

This is a fun PSA from Cas And if you need a check cashed (2 minute)

After 5 months of debate and a 2 month waiting list, the bullpup stock has arrived. The waiting list was extended due to traditional on-demand mfg'ing. Andy from High Tower Armory sent me an email update - a slow down from a supplier was delaying production. Final email, product in stock and ready for order; processed 11/19, shipped 11/20, estimated delivery 11/21 - 11/23. Initial impressions: substantial, attention to detail, MLok points, as nice an after market/ replacement stock you'd (I'd) buy for something else. Controls are good, charging handles are stiff, but should smooth out, ambi safety works for me, trigger feels ok but will have to shoot it. Mag release works well and mags fall free. I think reloading will be pretty smooth; when I rotate the stock to reload, the mag well ends up in a pretty convenient position. The rails appear secure enough and are well made - to start, I've got my thrifty BSA tri-color red dot and will test my Burris FF3. I've seem a few videos where to the owner installed flip up (polymer) irons and co witnessed to a red dot. I need to shoot it before I decide which set up will work best for me. I am pretty well decided to add a angled fore grip to the lower rail. Here's the rub. A new HP carbine is $350ish Add $300ish for the bullpup stock and a few odds and ends, you're starting at $650. Which is now competitive with a large selection of PCCs and PDWs in both pistol and rifle cartridges.

I'm on my second warranty claim in 3 weeks. First one was my RAMI P, sill at CZ, they provide a friendly weekly email follow up. The message truly is, please don't call us, we will get it fixed and notify you when FedEx is on the way. With a promise of 6-8 week turn time, no reason to pester them. 2009 model, out of 5 year mfg'er warranty, no cost to me. CZ fandom justified. Yesterday, it was my 2008 HiPoint 995 carbine. Got my new bullpup, imperial stormtrooper blaster stock from High Tower Armory. Pulled the action from the TS stock, disassembled for cleaning, noticed some cracks around the firing pin channel. Called HP, spoke to Lenny, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and had a pretty upbeat, positive attitude over the phone. Described the problem, he said he always replaces the slide on E series (serial number) please send it in. Heading to the post office this morning, with a promised turn time of 1-2 weeks. Outside possibility of receiving a LRHO and new style receiver pin upgrade. I had hoped to never use their warranty, but they definitely stand behind it. HP carbine fandom justified.

Handgun bullets do weird stuff when they hit a human body and even a small framed person has a lot of meat on the bones. If you don't get the one shot stop, meaning shorting out the electrical system, bigger hollow point bullets make bigger wound cavities, so the attacker MAY bleed out a little more quickly. If you are concerned about concealment, your wardrobe and environment can dictate what gun you can carry. Not sure myself, but pretty sure modern .357 is optimized for a 6" barrels. Not exactly concealable I rarely shoot .357 in my 2" or 3", except when I want attention at the range.

That 9mm has got to be close to cost. $.14/round for brand name brass? I just paid a ridiculous $.18/round at WM

It's going to CGW after I get it back from CZ. They worked on my Omega, its a keeper. My current debate is the sights. It's equipped with fully adjustable rear, but both front and rear are luminous. I'm thinking about a compatible improved front and retaining the oem rear.

Don't know what to do with all those cool stickers you've acquired over the years?

To go from acquiring my HCP, daily carry and practice to instructor led training. For me it was fear of the unknown and public embarrassment. 1. I'm not very good and better students or even the instructor will be amazed by my lack of skill. The not very good is offset by the very fact I'm participating in training. In my experience, the environment is always encouraging, and sometimes, even at my skill level, I can encourage newer shooters. 2. I have a proper belt and holster but don't have tacti-cool gear and accessories. This was less important to me as I have learned to tailor my gear to me and my dress, which is different than everyone else. It is nice to learn what gear others employ, may be better than what I got. 3. I don't shoot a "insert fanboy brand or brands here" What will my instructor or others think about my handgun choice. Who cares? Reliable, shootable, primary carry pistol - bring it. 4. I carry a fanboy pistol, but it's stock. No fancy trigger, RMR, grips, magwell, or bayonet (for you CZ guys, and I am looking for one) If it was a competition, this probably makes a difference, but this is training. My suggestion starting out is train with what you carry or your primary defense pistol. 5. I can't afford it. I paid over $100 to obtain my HCP. One day, no overnight travel classes available for less than $100 plus gas, ammo, and lunch. An hour at the range is $20 plus. If I reduce live practice and increase dry practice, it becomes easier to budget. 6. I don't have time Time is precious, especially with our 5 day week spread over 7 days. It's easy to say, "just do it," but taking a day requires giving up that time for something else.

I'm curious to really compare trigger feels, my 75B is an Omega, (P01) a decocker and this one will be a standard safety.

Update. Frame bulge discovered after shooting and cleaning and internet. Trigger pin walking right to left. Called CZ, Randal said cosmetic, but fix available. 09 model, out of warranty. They still covered shipping and will cover parts / labor upon inspection when it hits the bench. Read two instances where CZ sent the owner a replacement non P. Hope I get my original gun back. Hats off to CZ for proactive customer service.

There are so many taco shell IWBs, I think it is preference and experience. I think you're in line with price point, my best guess is good kydex bounces from $55 - $90 Are you specifically looking for 320 compatibility?

Jeff Shaara's 'To the Last Man' is a great piece of historical fiction. 116k US casualties, 63k disease, 53k combat, 12 ish months of engagement. -
Listening to Joy 620, one of the radio pastors hit on something I found helpful in terms of living with some purpose. How am investing my time, treasure and talent? From the Christian view, it should be stuff pleasing to God. How am I spending my time? During waking hours, it's probably the only thing I really own. Like most, work is required, but common to everyone I know. I believe we are created to do stuff, so binge watching Hell on Wheels (guilty) or simply existing on a couch off work hours is probably not pleasing to God, and truthfully, not particularly productive. When I feel couch like, I am now more aware and will force myself to do something. Investing your treasure biblically refers to tithing, supporting the church, and helping those who need a hand up. For believers and non believers alike, are you a good steward with your income both with saving and borrowing? If you are drawn to charitable giving, is your chairty a good steward with your investment? Remember, the dollars in your pocket and the stuff you buy tangibly represent your time investment in the work portion of your life. Is that thing worth the X number of hours you spent at work? I think this forum is a great example of investing talent. Shared experiences, best practices, encourage, enlightment, and education have been present and maintained during my tenure. It hasn't been all gun stuff!!! Opportunities will present themselves for us to share talents (gun and otherwise) out on the world of real people. May the peace and love of Jesus Christ be with all of you!

Can probably do both. Anyone want to carpool to Dalton? -
Not personally, wife does. I have seen them sold and purchased, approved and funded on auto loans since 1994. Have one on our personal vehicle. Have seen great to yikes. The "yikes" is why Greg's honesty statement is so important! Know what you are buying, what is included, and maybe more importantly, excluded. At least I know my wife will get to use my life insurance. Most folks don't have $8,000 cash plus to buy a reliable used car. To your point, you can get approved for 10-20% of your monthly gross income for a car payment, just because you can afford and easily budget $600-$800 or more, should you? Not my place, money, or decision, I'm not buying the vehicle and I won't have make 72 perfect payments. It seems to me it's more about buying based on desires and wants vs. actual transportation needs. Want to trade at 30 months with limited trade equity and down payment, let the games begin - with approved credit you can get approved for up to 130% of MSRP so you can roll the negative into your new car. This stems from the lenders needing and wanting loan growth and consumers ignoring math for magic. Lots of great new and used vehicles with good miles for $15-$24k. New full sized trucks, SUVs and fully equipped cars are simply outrageous. And let's not forget about keeping up with the Joneses.
