I shot mine for the first time today. There is something about a lever action, and this one takes care of my immediate desires. A .357mag would be practical, since I've got handguns in the same caliber.

Expensive for a paperweight. Sorry, couldn't help it.

Started with Deeznutz, an alleged meth addicted attack squirrel: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2019/06/28/alabama-meth-attack-squirrel-owner-arrested-after-car-chase/1594541001/ Owner denies feeding Deeznutz meth, is a beloved pet. Not go to be outdone, this dude wanted to make a radioactive super snake: https://www.foxnews.com/us/oklahoma-man-arrested-for-stolen-car-police-find-gun-whiskey-rattlesnake-and-radioactive-uranium Not wanting to be left out, TN is aiding the meth gator crisis. https://time.com/5627237/tennessee-flush-drugs-meth-gators/ Looking for more than the small caliber attack squirrel, certain but slow death from your radioactive super snake, or hard to conceal and eratic meth gator? These guys can hook you up: https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/italian-police-confiscate-air-to-air-missile/

Dave, I've got a FF 3 on my Sport 2, ran it through a rifle class, for PDW ranges, I think you'll be pleased. I also have their mount, very impressed with quality.

I considered RMR'ing my Rami P. Weakening eye sight coupled with a shorter sight radius. Proven by experienced users to gain faster acquisition and confidently engage at 50+ Cost crushed me. While I am one of the thrifty / budget club, I would only purchase a dot with a proven track record, by people I know. Those appear to be $450ish+ Plus milling and might as well add any desired 'smithing since you're that far rabbit hole. In my case, probably $1000 worth of stuff. Still on my radar, but I'm probably going over budget on my remodel, so not anytime soon.

I didn't realize how long it has been since I heard this broadcast. Starts a little slow, but wait until you hear or read about Bob. https://www.thisamericanlife.org/323/transcript And audio, 22 minutes. https://www.thisamericanlife.org/323/the-super/act-one

Science and Christianity... While I believe in creation, l have a hard time accepting the young earth viewpoint. I think it's short sighted to limit what God could actually do during the measured 24 hour periods we call days. Perhaps it's beyond comprehension; according to the Bible, He worked 24/6 and rested on 7. No indication of a union break during His shift. What could God create and mould into it's final form in 168 non stop hours? What got me started thinking about was this article and my perceived inconsistencies that theories of evolution and the big bang are just that, theories. https://amp.businessinsider.com/quantum-entanglement-einstein-first-picture-2019-7 Quotes from the article: illustrate a strange phenomenon that rattled Albert Einstein so much that he died disbelieving it could exist With current tech and testing, he probably would believe, thanks to the amazing human brain. At tiny scales, the universe appears to play by different rules, many of which are paradoxical and defy reason Chalk this up to another scientifically unexplained phenomenon? The last sentence of the above quote indicates in Quantum Mechanics there can be an effect BEFORE the cause. This is my favorite quote No one should be blamed for being confused by quantum mechanics, Davis said, since "we didn't evolve to understand" the theory and its counterintuitive ramifications I guess Davis and those studying Quantum Mechanics did evolve to understand? As tech evolved to test, the brain evolved to understand? We evolved to figure out how math can be used to describe (most of) the natural world? If Davis and his colleagues represent the next level of evolution, I'm disappointed. I'd rather be able to fly or shoot laser from my eyes than a math geek. Do the folks who ARGUE their point of view think "proving" creation or evolution is winning converts to their cause?

Pets are property, however, someone coming at my less than lethal barking dog, I'm probably in the foreground or background of that tactical picture. How do I know you didn't select me out of the phone book, ala Navin R Johnson style, and you hate dogs as well?

Welcome aboard. Be careful on your two wheeler!

Classic, Aim, and other will advertise used S&W LE revolvers and semis, price points seem to be under $350. Apparently, the Yeet Cannon is popular https://www.ammoland.com/2019/06/psa-px9-yeet-cannon-glock-style-stripped-lower-receiver/#axzz5tBBBYrwy

I always post "ID / BoS" Pretty sure this eliminates most of non-qualified owners from inquiring. A stranger, yep, let's see valid TN ID and sign. Well known to me or someone on TGO, if you want to, sure, if you want to opt out, sure.

I always equated zombies with the general public. That's my perception as well, with the assumption of the mass becoming agitated and forcefully getting what they want in the event of a man made or natural disaster. I watched a few episodes of TWD, zombie genre is low on fiction interest list. TWD does have my preferred zombie type. Slower, fooled by camouflage and bait and packed tight should make for easier head shots. Those World War Z zombies are down right terrifying. Has Elon's civilian flame thrower made it into any current zombie medium? That would be an effective platform.

Looking For Strong Tactical Belt Recommendations
A.J. Holst replied to ShaggyRS6's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
The Beltman has a loyal following here and other sites I visit. Budget aside, I've gotten great service from my 5.11 Casual (leather) and black leather Goodrich and Gould for work. I have been using a NexBelt for causal attire off and on over the last year with good results as well. OWB a CZ75b for comparison. Not an owner, but for a non leather rig, the Wilderness gets a lot of stars, green check marks, and smiley faces on the 'net. -
Glad you joined!

Correct, GM had the suburban and he had the Grand Wagoneer. Modern SUV movement?
-
Plus a few shares of $1.00 stock. From a TV program, he created both the mini van segment with the caravan / voyager and SUV with the grand Cherokee. The ubiquitous K car, reliable transportation, equipment differentiated Plymouth - Dodge - Chrysler. Was be at helm when Ram trucks got the first modern facelift for the '93/'94 model year?

Who's used "ProPex" Plumbing? Any plumbers here?
A.J. Holst replied to GlockSpock's topic in General Chat
NOT an expert, simply an end user. 2008 involved with building a commercial building. Totally plumbed with pex, including the manifold. No leaks today. Asked the plumber why not copper. He said copper pipe today can have more impurities and eventually the chlorine and flouride dissolve those impurities and after a few years, voila, pin hole leaks. Cheap Chinese copper says he. Currently remodeling, my guy replaced the diverter and replumbed copper supply with pex. -

Start a movement for the "protect the hearing of hunting dogs." Unless they're hypocrites, every animal rights activist should be all in. These pups were breed to hunt, are you willing to deny them the right to what is their preferred dog life style? Do you not care about their quality of life being impacted by hearing loss or damage after retirement? Dog have rights too.

When all seems lost, praise God. A series of coincidences stemming from a radio preacher I heard Saturday morning on the way to gun class. Basically, he told me when I am in in those troughs and less guarded against Satan and all of his works, succeptible to the glamour and temptation of sin, or at the very least, bitching about my current lot in life. He shared a story of a preacher who visited a severely physically handicapped girl, who was reported to be a radiant beacon of light. When the preacher met her, he discovered the device used to strap her deformed body to resembled a coffin. He asked her how she was able to be so cheerful, to which she responded, "At night when I wake up, I see the stars are they are my blessings, one is for Mother, one is for Brother, one is for Father...but Pastor, I still have stars but have run out of blessings." Perhaps an illustration of all that is seen and unseen? Those blessings that I am totally aware of? Shared this story when I got home; praise God that I have both feet on the ground, that I have a beautiful and supportive wife, roof over my head, food in the fridge, clothes on my back, decent income and a job, son just got promoted at work, I found an amazing support group on TGO, the peace of knowing Christ and certainty of eternal life Later that evening, my wife received a call from a friend, close but no longer local and infrequent contact. She told my wife what a difference she made and continues to make in her life. I think and discussed with my wife; all those things you did without strings attached, all those years ago, the blessing from the Lord is the knowledge that you did make a difference in someone's life. Praise God!

You can get a basic, reliable AR for $500. I have an M&P Sport 2, been flawless. Ruger also hits that price point from time to time. Since I've got one, I'm good to go for my needs, so a wall of black rifles is pretty boring to me as well.

True. Many victims versus all would have been a better statement. It seems to me if you choose to live in a city, you either understand and accept that you have a higher risk than your countrified neighbors or live in denial.
-
Specifically why random shootings near the interstate? Here's an example of random shootings in a densely populated city I can't explain, perhaps you can. https://heyjackass.com/
-
I think it's ordinary for city dwellers. They all sport a victim card because they live in denial: Never saw them coming Never thought it would happen to me Things like that only happen to other people. Population density helps. I am sure there are some certified bad a$$e$ needing to be in prison to protect us from them, walking around East TN. They're spread out within about one million people covering an area about 200 miles NE to SW and 100 miles wide. I also suspect it's easier for gangs to manage smaller blocks of geography vs. country miles.
