My Aunt amd Uncle just settled my Grandmother's estate, which included some RE. As a beneficiary, I received a phone book of docs, much of it regarding the RE. An attorney, title company, and title search would be on my check list. If nothing else, to ensure you remain friendly neighbors.

I can legally walk my property 24/7. And like others, if I'm wearing pants, I'm probably walking heavy.

Is the Colt AR the best at it's price point? I'm not sure, "it's a Colt," has the same impact as it once did.

Prices are fair. Smoky MountainKnife Works / Guns and Ammo is my spot for off the shelf (SMKW / SMGA) I

Victim appears to be minding his own business, new thug enters, engages, and the lopsided fight is on. https://offgridsurvival.com/mob-of-urban-thugs-target-innocents-minnesota-target-field/ For the EDC'er, you have but one option, since escape is no longer an option. Looks like nose was in phone and wasn't paying attention to the crowd of lions, and a likely meal, being the only antelope at the watering hole. Dude is lucky, those body stomps, if done correctly, will collapse a rib cage.

https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/1-of-5-million-a-single-member-attends-day-one-of-the-nra-board-meetings/ Shame on me for not attending and attempting what Rob is doing. Shame on the NRA for continuing to hide their actions from members with smoke, mirrors, and closed executive session. I told the above story to someone I met about 5 years ago. Saw her last week and she told me how much it helped her through that tough time and she has told the story to others for encouragement. God's message to me, "keep it up!"

There was a man who cried out to God, "Lord, I can no longer bear this cross." And the Lord answered, "This is your lucky day, it's trade in your cross day." A open door appeared and the man ran through it. Upon entering, he saw a room full of crosses, so many he could barely comprehend the sheer number. Some so big, their tops lost in the clouds. As he looked around, he spied a cross by the door. It was the smallest, and certainly the lightest one of the bunch. "Lord, that's the one I want." "Are you sure?" "Absolutely!" "You can have it, but there is something I have to tell you..." "...that's the cross you came in with." Thank you Lord for fulfilling your promise of strength to bear my cross, for THIS daily bread to overcome THIS challenge. Thank you for showing me the troughs and valleys are only temporary and while difficult, it does not prevent me from doing what I should do or what I like to do!

145 CEOs send letter demanding action to Congress
A.J. Holst replied to MacGyver's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If true, the operational leadership of the NRA is part of the problem. Misuse of dues and donations alienate current and future members. Perhaps change some of the fear based confiscation messaging with highlights from educational events and interview the young people who participate. Kids sell stuff, if you could get a dog or two in the video... -
My hope is Smokey doesn't get chased up a tree, by a raccoon.

Lightweight Light for Carbine *FOUND ONE*

And mounted. Had to modify the hand guard to fit the Velcro straps; the pressure switch is very secure. I have not exposed the adhesive backing. I couldn't be more pleased, the splash from the light illuminates the flouro orange painted front sight better than minimum expectations. -

I don't know, $30 to make a decision on a engine replace, rebuild, or buy something different seems a fair.

CZ SP-01 Tactical Holster options
A.J. Holst replied to MPGlock's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I've got a comptac minimalist paddle for a P01. I think it's a great holster, one of the best paddles I've come across. I think Erik88 is (or was) a user. CZ can be a little tough, having gone through it with a 75, aforementioned SDP, and most recently a RAMI P. Not familiar with this series, but it looks like the SP has bigger dimensions in the dust cover and light rail vs. the polymer tactical and phantom frames. -
Snub Nose Seminar Sep 21 Dayton TN
A.J. Holst replied to Cruel Hand Luke's topic in Training Discussions
If you can present your 5 shot snub and hit what you're aiming at, you are probably good for statistical averages, 80% of DGU falls within the 3-3-3 rule. If you can move and present and hit, you are probably way ahead of the curve. If you're not sure if you can move, draw, hit, AND keep it running and/or reloaded for the other 20% of DGU, please consider joining us. I was pleased to see Randy continuing the laboratory of one environment with the invitation to bring waistband, pocket, and ankle holsters. Great opportunity to try out different gear in a controlled environment. Having been forced to finish a class with a revolver, it give a great perspective on the pros and cons of a snub. Getting my stuff ready, I hope you'll come on out and party like it's 1899. -
Lightweight Light for Carbine *FOUND ONE*
A.J. Holst replied to A.J. Holst's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Stopped in at SMKW yesterday to browse their lights. Spied a Crimson Trace Weapon Light at the gun counter. Price was right, $59.95 Recognized brand, quality should be decent. In the box: Light, well machined. Energizer battery Two end caps Rail, MLok, and Keymod attachment parts and pieces, mounts are also well made (in China) Pleased to find the remote tail switch has Velcro straps in addition to the adhesive backing. Heavy duty operator grade? Probably not for $60, but initial impressions are very positive for my intended applications. My only negative at this time would be overall battery life, about 1 1/2 hours of use. Will get it mounted and report back. -
I thought the thread title was a clever play on this news article Massive BBQ Planned Outside Home of Vegan Woman Who Sued Neighbors Over Smell of Meat https://lawandcrime.com/crazy/huge-bbq-planned-outside-home-of-vegan-woman-who-sued-neighbors-over-smell-of-meat/

NRA-Domestic Terrorist Organization
A.J. Holst replied to AuEagle's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Other than the Hestonian, "from my cold, dead fingers..." what evidence can be produced that proves the NRA incites gun owners to violence. I have a right to protect myself and loved ones from un-invited bodily harm or death. My assailant may be a former Fight Clubber, someone jacked on drugs, good old fashioned armed robber, or possibly a group of wolves. Here's your pointed stick, good luck, hopefully he'll only be armed with a banana. Yet another reason to not buy California. Hopefully some of the brand name accessory manufacturers will flee to more friendly climes. -
Walmart to stop selling .223, 5.56 and handgun ammo
A.J. Holst replied to hammerdrop99's topic in General Chat
The online retailers are close to WM, if not better, depending on the flavor you need. Good riddance! -
I made a comment at the last carbine class I attended, "It sucks to think I have to pack a long gun in my vehicle." While evade / escape is high on my list of priorities, at least I may be in a position of a good guy with a bad gun to stop an active shooter. May be as the foreground and background will probably include a herd of panicked sheep.

Safariland CLP and gun grease. I did upgrade to Tetra gun grease as a recommendation to a new (me) AR owner. No issues on any of my firearms to date
