  1. .gov has been forced to react, it seems difficult to be proactive when the alleged source was part of problem vs. solution. If true: The Chinese may have been aware and dealing with it since 7/2019 Allowed 50k citizens to travel internationally Told the WHO is it isn't contagious Media reported as such 80% of test kits sent to Europe were faulty Subsequent production of masks revealed many didn't meet minimum specs. Until recently, if you wanted to produce and retail masks, you needed approval from the FDA to make a medical device. My biggest non medical concern is .gov has figured out how to massage our rights to protect the public good. They get to decide when we get 'em back and that a good crisis is way easier to manipulate the mob than a conditional amendment. Yes, we have rights and laws to protect the individual, but I believe I have a personal responsibility not to endanger myself or others through un-needed navigation of the world of unknown infected contacts.
  2. No longer need an excuse to avoid people!
  3. Use younger, more athletic ammo?
  4. I'm sure Japanese Americans impacted by 1941 agree
  5. Pressure switch here. What I like is this model has Velcro strips attached which help secure the lead wire.
  6. The ubiquitous M&P Sport II with Burris FF3
  7. Identity theft through medical records is big business. Don't click links from unknown or questionable sources, hover over hyper links to see if they match the visual title, what time, was if expected, howis the grammer and speling.
  8. Funding for the Kennedy Center, who got it and laid off their staff. Funding for new Green Deal projects. More money for planned Parenthood Erik, I am sure the other side of the aisle tried and got some stuff in as well. It is 2 Trillion, what's can few hundred thou or mil among friends.
  9. Well Comrades, I have some good news! Apparently my standing in the Party is acceptable as I have been granted Letters of Transit by the Bureau of Identifying Essential Services. Get out of Jail card? Reading some internet news, if true: Citizens are fined for going out Criminals are being released Rhode Island is going door-to-door and looking for out-of-state plates to round up New Yorkers and those from Jersey LA has been tracking cell phones to enforce shelter-in-place. New York is planning on delaying / rescheduling elections. Right to any kind of assembly is being curtailed. How do I get tested to prove I'm negative and don't pose a health risk to the public good? In case you want to know about Letters of Transit and one way to acquire them Regarding the God ain't happy comment, if we lay it at his feet and want to hold Him accountable, just remember, if He led us to it, He will lead us through it.
  10. Only speaking for myself; Worst case, I die. Going to Heaven and have adequate life insurance. I get horribly I'll and require hospitalization or homebound illness. Got insurance and sick time. Layoff or furlough. The spike in unemployment reveals part of the solution. Employers and states are working together to quickly process with "no search" exemptions if you are returning to your current employer. My retirement may or may not be extended. Oh well, been working since 14, planned on 15 more. If I am healthy and enjoy what I do, why not a few more years of investing my time, talent, and treasure. Only down 25%, many of my peers at -30% so I'm ahead of the curve. Mortality rate for CV is about 5 per million. I like my odds when coupled with prudent and common-sense lifestyle choices. I understand protecting the public health and folks unable or unwilling to follow .gov guidance, but NY delaying elections and the RI National Guard going door to door rounding up suspected New Yorkers is concerning. I am concerned about what we don't know got included in the stimulus. Read some reports of funds for the Kennedy Center, Planned Parenthood and some New Green Deal being slipped into earlier versions. I perceive some of the debt waiver stuff is wide open for abuse. I am hopeful we continue with a heightened awareness of good hygiene and employers encourage sick employees to stay home to see the overall impact on traditional flu.
  11. My feelings on this specifically is it seems more important about who was right regarding the mortality rate, but I forgot about Don Henley and Dirty Laundry... Considering initial reports of 40-60% of Americans contracting with 3-4% mortality rate = millions of dead Americans. Dirty Laundry indeed.
  12. The Gateway Pundit is crowing they said it first, CV is less deadly than initially reported. Go eff yourselves, saying less folks dying is a good thing is perverse. While the averages reveal older, at risk, and 1 - 5 underlying medical issues are more likely to die, I read one report where a 20 something with no other known health issues died in her apartment. It is at least as deadly as complications from traditional flu and is nasty in that it can survive in the environment for 30 minutes to 3 hours or more, or less... I did have a buddy mention he felt the rapid spread was due to the routine exchange of paper money. Makes me wonder how long a robust virus like this could live on a reasonably protected peice of linen. With allergy season upon us, I'm scared to safely clear my throat or cough in the office.
  13. Had no idea TGO had become the new immigration melting pot. Pretty cool
  14. Because I have more than a 401k and like having an expert with a track record of success. Meeting with him is based on opportunity, not fear or panic.
  15. 5000 years of civilization without TP, amazing we survived at all.
  16. Concern in that I am 52 and seeing my retirement get whittled away. I supposed, from the same perspective, there is hope in that there are probably some good buys right now. I missed Apple, Microsoft and Bitcoin; I have a meeting with my guy tomorrow.
  17. Dave, my same liberal AZ friend was asking me about firearms, it is sinking in that .gov can't (or won't) protect you in times of emergency.
  18. This is my selfish concern.
  19. For a shotgun, I would stay away from budget dots or optics. They probably can't handle the recoil. I have a Fastfire on my AR, it's great. Buddy has a FF3 on a heavy use pistol, after 3 years its still working, but needs replacing. While I cannot endorse based on personal choice, Holosun is putting out a very good product as well. It appears they have reverse engineered the top rated dot manufacturers and able to produce at a lower price point. Welcome to TGO! What type of laws do you navigate for gun ownership in Turkey?
  20. Spirited thread for sure! I'm sure we could find similar responses to the scumbag resellers during the Obama scare. If the consumer is willing to pay triple retail, so be it. For CTD, I boycotted them during Obama, they jacked KCI M1 carbine mags three fold overnight. Have never looked back. Like many, I don't have enough ammo, but enough to keep me safe for a while. More than enough to go house-to-house capturing toilet paper.
  21. So much for habeas corpus. My liberal friend in AZ is distressed with the shelter-in-place directives from .gov He claims it is nothing short of martial law, just with friendlier language; you will be subject to civil fines and / or house arrest for exercising your right to go out-of-doors. Just left Kroger, there seems to be ample food stuffs on the shelves. If we continue with the same level of health awareness, personal hygiene and employers encouraging workers to stay to home if they are sick, we could probably reduce traditional flu from 36 million ESTIMATED cases and 70,000 resultant deaths. I did read one report where upwards of 99% of folks being tested have traditional flu. For myself, I simply will continue to navigate this germ infested planet with awareness and avoid running into burning buildings.
  22. Committed to his role of professional trainer, fake it 'til you make it I wonder if he layers his training with juggling flaming bowling balls @Cruel Hand Luke
  23. Welcome to a great forum and more civil liberties
  24. I picked up 1000 rounds of S&B 124gr last Friday. Paid 12.99/50, but wanted the 124 Can confirm the previous posted pricing. I'm an not a fan of their in-house brand.
