I'm attending a Range Master instructor class there next month, I owe Best Gun Buddy big time, he sold me a 1000 rounds for class.

I heard a story on the radio yesterday, 16 year old swimmer, recently lost her sight. Training for the 2021 Paralympics. When asked why, she responded, "If you don't try, how will you ever know."

Small pistoll primers selling for $100.00 per 1000 on GB
A.J. Holst replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Regarding primers, I read an article (firearm blog, ammoland, or TTAG) which revealed a surprising fact. Despite the volume of ammo manufacturers, there are only 4 domestic primer suppliers. I believe the article alluded to a European shipment of 1,000,000 primers to be en route. There can't be much profit in pre-rolled target ammo as I also read where Remington was looking to get permission from the BK court to sell their ammo line. $65 million, which is a bunch, but for the zillions of rounds produced, they can't be making any real margins. -
Bought a bipod from them, had to have it. Planning a glamour shot. @Cruel Hand Luke proved the irons work at 150 on a 1/3 steel silhouette. Other than being 100% designed with right hand operation in mind, I'm glad I bought it.

My Best Gun Buddy has received 2 of GT's knives, the Indian Feather and a Nessmuk. We have a trip to France (re-scheduled 2x in 2020) planned for 2021 and my thought, get him another knife. When you're best friends for 35 years, you seek unique gifts. Discovered from The Truth about Knives the laguiole is the national knife of France. And weapons are prohibited, though 1 in every 3 Frenchmen have a laguiole in his pocket. However, the supposed etiquette of gifting a knife is to "sell it" to the recipient for the smallest denomination of the local currency. Historically, a gift of a knife was not a friendly message Best Gun Buddy owes me $.02

Its credited as a Kit Carson Design (of Vine Grove, KY) CRKT's website has a nice bio on the designer. Side note, I just did a price check, this is a $75 knife. How long it holds a good edge without abuse is a question mark due to the quality of the steel. The overall construction is substantial and can serve as a very effective striking weapon or tool for glass breaking. I initially thought the titanium panels were gimicky; close inspection today reveals virtually no scratches and the finish is even with no discoloration. Nice surprise since I've carried it daily and dropped it occasionally for 10 years.

You mean constitutional carry doesn't supercede all the other 8,000 or so local, state, and federal gun laws?

Seeking Advice On Where to Automobiles For Sale By Owner

As I've mentioned, I've got some history with auto retail and financing. Go back to 06 - 07, rebates were so strong in an environment with low / favorable rate for prime buyers and low cost of funds to take more risk (extend more credit) to less than prime buyers. Eliminate millions of units through case for clunkers or in this case, major disruption of supply stream, and we have a similar situation. When the buyer then wants a particular color, trim package, etc, the good low mileage CARS, are base, undesirable models with limited equipment. -
It was finally time to get a second sharpening on my CRKT M16-14T Last time was 10 years ago at an RK Show. Decided to give @willis68 a try, others have reported quality work. This blade needed it, trust me. Contacted through PM, was given turn time (extended in my case, Mr. 68 was heading off shore) Completed within promised window and contacted via email. During this exchange, I asked about the quality of this particular steel; not great and and substandard bevel on factory edge, especially at the serrations. In my case, it was a gift and I have sentimental attachment. It's sharp, I wish I had thought of before and after pics. When I am ready to upgrade, @willis68 will be my first stop to shop and buy. Thanks for the great quality of service!

That's a shame, I hate shooting my (one and only) The .380 consumers have to be all these new owners of self defense marketed pistols and buying multiple boxes to never be shot.

Today, my guess is a lot of new, suburbanite gunowners are trained through the magic of watching John Wick and playing FPS video games.

Supply and demand New car dealers had to buy used inventory at premium prices to fill their lots. Coronavirus slowed the new car supply chain. Used trucks in general are outrageous, even with 150-200k Can you wait? Best time to buy a car is when you don't need one. -

For all the manual labor, I don't think you're making minimum wage. Independently wealthy and your hobby is a tax write off? I've bought 3 and gifted 2...don't delay, become an owner today! -
VWas the CCP a nod to constitutional carry? Dare I say attending a class to earn / collect a permit does not magically make one a good shooter. If you don't think paying a pro for continuing education is a good investment, at least learn proper basics and practice, both live and dry fire and add context and critical thinking to your training.

My Recent Retail Ammo Experience (August 2020)
A.J. Holst replied to TGO David's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
So they make $20 box per. My time is and gas is worth way more than 6 hours of labor for $20 and if retired, 6 hours is worth more than $20 Poor retirement planning? Tired of eating cat food? Jackoffs whose retirement revolves around the thrill of making $20 or taking advantage of folks? Sad and pitiful. -
I only mentioned a BUG as Monday through Friday, i carry a subcompact in a pocket, very NPE. Afterhours and everywhere with no metal detectors, I carry a proper sized pistol. I just keep the micro in my pocket out of habit. It takes some thought to balance all the stuff on your belt / in your pockets for best access and comfort. Like a DA snub nose, these little handguns marketed for self defense require practice to shoot well.

This is the reason I carry a slightly larger flashlight. A spare (steel) mag is a good blunt striking tool as well. Oversized key ring. Tactical pen, in case I need to sign autographs and always prepared to sign up for fun @Cruel Hand Luke @Cruel Hand Luke would recommend a spare mag and even a BUG We just completed a second installment for a church group, I hope we were very successful with context, "it's 10 yards or more, your foreground and background are panicked parishioners, hopefully your layered defense keeps the threat outside."

I can neither confirm nor deny I am helping or hurting the average. Keep it quiet, but I may have a few the guv'mint don't know about... something about those back alley, in the darkness of the night, loop hole, face-to-face private transactions. Thanks for doing business with me, I promise not to rat you out if the brown lorries roll up...

I have noticed in more gun stores the accessories are slim, I thought it was by design; trying to stock higher demand items and reduce stale inventory. With 5,000,000 new non-private gun sales, you got to figure all the stuff folks bought. Plus the rank and file with money in their pocket, in lieu of guns and ammo, they're likely buying parts and pieces to upgrade / personalize their current firearms. I'm to the point there is nothing much more I need or want to buy other than replenishing ammo. Good to go on mags, holsters, storage bags, etc. It happens after 30 years of firearm ownership and the the last ten focusing on guns and gear that works for me.

12 month layaway? How you could afford not to buy it? "Honey, you will never believe what this didn't cost me!" Congratulations on your newest addition.

Didn't Rodney Dangerfield say, "the best part about kids is making them." The smile on big brother's face is wondrous! -
I've been enjoying Gary Keller (Keller and Williams Realty) and John Maxwell. My biggest takeaways: Help people make good decisions Ask questions to discover goals, what does a win look like? Help that person get what they want.

Welcome, great forum and desirable place to live! My neighbor across the street is a TN-native, 30 year union electrician in NJ, couldn't wait to move back. He is saving $5000 annually in property taxes alone. As you plan your escape, the good news is with the influx of new residents, they don't appear to voting in the stupid stuff they left behind from the NE, Midwest, or West Coast. Memphis and Nashville have similar issues as any large metro area, county livin' is the life for me!
