There is a video out there somewhere showing a store robbery in a south American country where the owner takes rounds from the perps; he doesnt return fire; you can clearly see him trying to rack the slide.

Thanks for posting, full review on the way? Did you send your PMR back to KelTec?

My first semi was a P95, I liked the grip shape better over the "squared" Glock-style influenced polys. I didn't love it, so it was replaced by a CZ75B Long, heavy trigger pull as I recall (DAO) SAO wasn't bad, but it's been a while. Absolutely ZERO function issues. Solid handgun If you are confident with function, there is NO reason not to consider it or use for SD/HD or EDC

Digital Ammo Counter , Really ?

It is cool and for cheap (and I mean cheap) I would put it on a toy. In a real tactical situation, slide lock or top off. -
Aim Surplus has the Korean mags in stock. 10.95 - 15 rd 12.95 - 30 rd About $3.00 more than I paid last year at CTD - but I now spit in the eye of CTD. CTD has dropped their prices on the Korean mags to $12 - 15rd; they do have 10rounders and for $25.00 you can buy an Auto-Ordnance which I assume is made in the USA. I would pay $25.00 for a US made mag, but not to CTD... Side note - unless you have an M2 mag catch, I would recommend sticking with the 15s, the 30s sag in the mag well and you can get some feed issues for the first 5 - 10 rounds. PITA.

Read the thread with some amusement then disappointment...hate to see anyone banned or slammed...BUT we know the issues facing us in TN, we already live here. Yes, we have fees for everything and a fat sales tax but no income tax and coming from another state, it could be a system shock. OTOH, I could move to any other state in the union and say why TN is superior because of x. y. z and get the same response - door swings both ways, 40 goes east and west and 75 north and south... We are also fortunate that TN is pretty 2A friendly in that 50%+ of our state legislators have a HCP (info may be outdated) I moved here in 1994 and it is HOME.

Prag, Thanks for recipe, turned it over the expert... Regarding "popped tops" we had 3 pop (tomatoes - non-pickled) using the water bath method My wife did some more internet research and found a recommendation for 85 minutes; so far so good, under the new method, no pops.

Zimmerman - Lessons Learned
A.J. Holst replied to midtennchip's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
The use of social media including this forum can be damning. Persecutors and Prosecutors will dig up anything and everything they can use against you, in context, out of context, left, right, up and down. It is more effective to cloud fact with emotion. Unfortunately we must censor our freedom of speech to protect the 2A for EVERYONE. -
Survival Store/Training in Nashville - Could it work?
A.J. Holst replied to Peace's topic in Survival and Preparedness
Best service and attitude to back up your product line with competitive pricing (not the lowest price, a competitive price) Understand 40% of all folks do buy simply on price...the good news is 60% of people buy on that intangible called VALUE Quick drop ship program for non-stocking items? Try to find items, common and unique, that are distributed exclusively through retail channels or require bulk purchase for the on-line shopper. Spend the money to find an expert on Search Engine Optimization, you want to be on the first page of the google search! I also like the warehouse idea if you want a physical location, cheaper and allows you to multipurpose and maybe partner with a traditional LGS. -
any special recipe or technique for the green toms? this is our first year of canning and we do have a bunch of green tomatoes.
-
45 pages promoting the big boxes (WM, GM, Academy, etc) How about the LGS? I would suggest keeping it professional, not real interested in non-business owners slamming a small retailer over the price charged; they don't get the same volume discounts and know what their margins need to be to compensate for dollars invested in the inventory vs. inventory turn time vs. overhead of running their small business If you don't like the price, don't buy but don't b*tch...if you do, you may prevent another member from shopping there for a non-ammo purchase which may be CHEAPER than on-line/big box I am willing to pay $2 - $4 more over a big box IF (and only IF) the LGS provides great customer service. Been in too many with an elitist, better than thou, take or leave it attitude - I will NOT spend my money with that operator even if the price was LESS.

G - I haven't seen any "in person" for sale, just the traditional on-line search of the big retailers/auctions.

With all the clones, how did the 75/85B not make the list...do I need to throw mine away? I am curious about the 3rd gen SR9 he raves about. Anybody got one?

Chapman Hwy Wal Mart had some .380/.38/.40/.45 both range and SD. Prices appeared pre-scare levels. Also had a decent assortment of long gun and they HAD 2 boxes of Rem UMC .30cal carbine, $30 per 50...a little high. no 9mm or .22 While it's nice that we are looking out to put ammo in homes and dollars in WM tills, can we start a thread LGS and Ammo? Would rather support an LGS over a big box...for a few dollars more...

My brother interned for a federal judge while in law school. In many circumstances, the attorneys advised the jury, "Folks, this is not like CSI, SVU, or Law and Order. It is NOT what you see on TV"

The model you describe was my first hand cannon. Paid $369 at Sports Unlimited in Orlando in 1989 Sold it (too big for my hand to be comfortable to shoot) to fund another purchase. Wish I still had it as a safe queen, super cool roll mark!

Crap, another .30 cal handgun. Been keeping my eye open for a steal since I acquired my M1 carbine. Used Ruger Blackhawks are pulling $800+ which is pricey for a plinker since I don't hunt A quick search of "Taurus Raging Thirty for Sale" revealed auction prices of: $461 in 2006, $951 in 2010 and $675 (couldn't find a date) Ammo will run you about $25 per 50 for fmj and $25 - $30 per 25 for Speer JSP

On Sunday, October 6, Randy Harris will be in Knoxville for a private training session. Women are encouraged to attend, my wife will be there for her first professional training experience (though she doesn't know it yet) I have negotiated a discount for us for $200 per person. Randy will teach us the basics of shooting, how to AVOID getting into a gunfight and IF it happens, you WILL be better prepared to win a gunfight. Until I starting participating in my continuing education, I did not realize how un-prepared I was for a close encounter of the bad kind. If your training stopped at HCP qualification or countless hours punching holes in paper in a static environment, PLEASE consider some kind of advanced training with a top tier organization- even if it's not Randy, not this course, not this time... Please post questions or email me or Randy (Cruel Hand Luke) for more information! Thanks, GtG

I can't believe you guys haven't touched this...what a wide open opportunity

My 75B Omega has in excess of 10k rounds through it with one "failure" The trigger bar spring fell out... Ergonomically, best feeling gun in my hand. It was my EDC until I acquired a Kahr MK9.
