  1. I've got a booth over there this weekend within sight of TAC's booth. What was pretty exciting was the number of women from teeny bopper to seasoned citizen who stop by, talked with the ladies of TAC and tried out their laser trainer.
  2. I am so glad I don't carry a Glock or Beretta, that all I see on the no gunz allowed signs.
  3. 30 years and the spring may need replacing? Good excuse, I mean reason to "refurb" with new parts and cool accessories.
  4. If memory serves; David' s concern is upfront purchase and getting stuck with the merchandise. If we trust him, why not a prepay with a cutoff date?
  5. As Mac posted enough complaints about not getting one, change the policy and take down the signs so we can't get three. Problem solved for WM...no more complaints. folks why do we even care to support their ammo sales? The complaints posted typically are metro areas with other choices. For TGO-ers in rural areas with one lgs in 50 miles with sky high prices I can see it but in Knox or Nash? I am proud to say I have spent zero dollars in WM in the last 120 days. I would plan shopping at WM to coincide with ammo needs. When the ammo went away I had no reason to go to WM and simply shopped elsewhere.

    .357

I primarily shoot .38 / +p out of my snubnose revolvers*   Lot of wasted energy for "off the shelf" .357 coming out of a short barrel   With my limited knowledge, I am pretty sure you want a 4" - 6" barrel to get max performance or pay for .357 designed specifically for short barrels.   * I will shoot .357 when I've got the feeling for loud noise and big flame.
  7.   Stand Your Ground; this video clearly shows Marty Moose had right of way, the snowmobiler kept encroaching was acting in an agressive manner and brandishing a firearm.
  8. Found this on the CZ forum   http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=54777.0
  9. I took Mark up on his offer but can't make the time to escape from work to visit with him.   In this day and age, it's a good problem to have...
  10. I assumed a 9...you're are probably right about a 10. Jack off went big bore because of a history dangerous rogue moose attacks and realized with a small d!(K he needed a big bad a$$ caliber.
  11. Unjustified. Moose is way down the trail, he keeps approaching. Moose is acting agressively and this jack off needs to get down THIS trail RIGHT now. isn't part of snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, hiking and the like to enjoy and take in all of the great outdoors, including those pesky woodland critters? What absolutely sickens me is it appears the moose isn't dead but mortally wounded and left for scavengers. This dude needs to be the human trophy in a Far Side cartoon. As a side note, 9mm looks to be an effective caliber on a 1200-1500 pound assailant and he carries in safe mode, no round in chamber until needed
  12. Thanks for the review, noticed youve been absent...good to see you!
  13. Hi Runco, welcome to group therapy here at tgo. We understand as everyone here is an addict, the hardest part is admitting you have a problem. Other than a long gun and pistol or two I'm pretty content with my current firearms.
  14. Voting is supposed to be the answer, but let's look at NYC or Chicago   The population density in and around the city believe the answer is "no guns" and vote for officials who beat the drum and distribute free bread.   Ask someone from rural NY or IL and ask them how they feel about majority rule affecting their 2A rights.   I have heard many times that PDs are less gun friendly while SDs appreciate and see the value of having law-abding citizens armed and taking the responsibility for self-protection.
  15. If this was Spinal Tap, we'd be talking 11mm, because it's one louder...
  16.   Kali compliant EBRs...   In this particular application, it validates the development of the M1 Carbine and the niche that PCCs can fill for "non-handgun" folks.   As a HP owner, the only advice I can give for use in life and death, make sure the mag lips are to spec!
  17. Welcome John and good luck with your endeavor!   I know little about ARs and nothing about polymer lowers, so as a noob, what are the challenges to manufacturing a polymer lower?   As DangerDan posted, there is a negliable weight savings, so unless you are building a super light weight, what other advantages does a polymer lower offer?   Thanks,   GtG
  18. So I traded by Bavarian M1 .30cal Carbine for a CZ P01 SDP.   I've read a lot of reviews but have never done a review.   For those interested, what do inquiring minds want to know?   As far a pics - unless someone can guide my through posting from my phone gallery to TGO, without a third party site where I have to create another on-line profile, probably not going to happen.
  19. I had about $465 in my Metro Arms Commander with tax and tics (2010 purchase)   Sold it a year later for $400 with Hogue grips and less than 500 rounds through it.   As a side note, it seems all the non-WM big boxes have plentiful supply of .45acp
  20. You can bemoan the evil unchecked power of local state and federal guv'mint, but apathy keeps these clowns in office on the public teat. Please vote and when in Illinois, vote early and often.
  21. Vonore is due south of Knoxville, following US129 / US 411.   It is south end of Tellico Lake which is one of the cleaner lakes on the TN River system.   Traveling father south on 411 into northern GA, you can pick up I-75 pretty conveniently to continue to Atlanta.   Beautiful rolling hills with mountains off to the East with low (er) population density.   I'll vote for central East TN, simply because I live in the greater Knoxville area.
  22. Hello from south Knoxville.   You will find some solid information and get common-sense feedback to your EDC inquiries, a huge number of out members "walk heavy" every day.
  23. Welcome from South Knoxville.   As far as being a noob, I've owned firearms for 30 years and I learn new stuff about guns, ammo, 2A-issues and the like every time I participate on the forum.   The only dumb question is the one never asked.
  24. Welcome from Big Orange Country
