I've use the original for my 75B and SDP for over 4 years, virtually every day. No noticeable wear, so I can attest to the durability. I always wear a tshirt, so no issues with it being "hot" Regarding retention, I carry AIWB and a fter a 20 hour hard work day of installing flooring, the sweat shield was soaking wet, no moisture transfered to my handgun and my handgun never slipped out of the holster. Can't comment on the pro series; reviews I've read is a very secure fit until the rig is broken in. The downside to the original series is the throat of the holster collapses, so a very careful and deliberate re-holster is required. I'd buy another N82 before venturing back into the "unknown" and potentially adding to my box o' holsters. You are correct - almost a one-size-fits-all based on frame size, though I use the 75B size for my SDP and it works perfectly for both.

I'm tempted to change my last name just to use this pun.

I had a Thunder Plus, 15 round double stack - really liked it; awesome grip ergos for my hands. Traded it off because extra mags were impossible to find and it was my only .380 in a stable of 9mm. I'd buy another one if that helps you make a good decision.

Being in sales all I can add is: the buyer can walk at anytime, most purchases are not one of a kind items so patience is the buyer's friend and a good deal has nothing to do with price it's how you feel about the entire buying experience. A good salesperson knows how to discover wants needs and desires that the buyer didn't even know they had by simply asking questions. I do agree with Jonin; a professional governs him/herself with ethics and integrity not greed and lies.

And that's not felony theft? Why not move to Mexico, cross over and hold out for amnesty.

Legalize, license and tax???!!! What, are you a neo-hippy??? Next you'll be promoting legalizing/decriminalizing pot...LOL Saw a quote from a Colorado LEO, "there is nothing more addictive than tax revenues to the guv'mint." -
A gunner's greatest fear - when he dies, his wife sells his guns for what she thinks he paid for them! (adapted from the fisherman's greatest fear)

I moved to East TN from Central FL, Winter Haven is a 'burb of Orlando and is considered a "nice" area...Highlights the fact the BGs will travel to the high rent district because there is more cool stuff to get as opposed to the risking life and limb in the 'hood to jack a car stereo.

This from the "related stories" below the main story ...In most recent cases, Detroiters are using guns to shoot at intruders who break in to their homes, sometimes with deadly consequences: ■A resident fatally shot a 17-year-old intruder on Penrod Street this month. ■A woman fatally shot an intruder on Grove Street in February. ■A mother of two opened fire when three teens broke into her home on Woodrow Wilson in February. And earlier this month, an 82-year-old man used a hammer to whack a 33-year-old man who broke into his home on Whitfield. The bleeding suspect was arrested.(priceless) Similar situations happen in the suburbs, too, as evidenced by the Bloomfield Township homeowner who opened fire on two burglars last month, striking one in the hand. Not all cases where homeowners have shot at people on their property are considered justified, however. Theodore Wafer of Dearborn Heights faces second-degree murder and manslaughter charges in the November killing of 19-year-old Renisha McBride. Wafer is accused of shooting McBride after she crashed her car and ended up on his front porch. The case has racial overtones because Wafer is white and McBride was black. Back on Dexter, Williams said residents have been forced to rely on themselves for protection against criminals. Crime, especially break-ins, convinced a family across the street to abandon their home late last year. It’s vacant now. “We can and we will protect ourselves,†Williams said. “You can’t be having a culture of fear. (EXCELLENT STANCE - STOP BEING VICTIMS!!!) The police are going to have to do better." (no dis-respect to Williams, but other than hiring more officers what exactly is "better" considering the city is broke and can't afford to hire more LEOs for more presence or faster response. Is better more agressive response/use of deadly force - that won't play well in the press. In lieu of a chicken in every pot, a cop in every home?)

Inquiring minds want to know! Runco is on the right track, follow the money. My wife has a Gen 3 G17, love everything about it but ergos, she loves everything about it...I'm an all metal CZ fanboy for wonder-9s because of ergos. The Kahr MK9 is high on my list too Somehow it has come to pass if there is something about G-locks you don't like, you are automatically a hater and the fanboys get pretty defensive...haven't quite figgered that one out.

I own a defensive shotgun (870 tactical with no cool bolt-ons) and this post has sound advice and good information for a old(er) dog like me. Prag - great article, thanks for the link. What jumped out at me was, "inside of 20 yards, 00 is king" For all you on the metric system, that's 60 FEET and closer so unless you've got an MTV crib, 00 seems to be the optimal loading for a defensive 12ga. My advice would be to shoot a 12ga before you buy. You may be unpleasantly suprised and consider the blast, noise, recoil if you ever had to discharge it in your home on a dark and cloudy night or at 3am. I have HEARD but not verified that a 20ga could be a viable option, 50% of the recoil for 75% of the effect. While a shotgun was my first choice for a HD weapon in retrospect, it wouldn't be my first choice as a HD weapon

I'll endorse the Kahr MK9, I like the extra weight in a compact.

Up to S1 E6 Worse than reality tv, no commercials

Watched E1 S1 Hooked. What I am really enjoying is the BG (Spacey) being honest enough to know he is screwing the other BGs through smooth manipulation.

It's the game boys, disagree and you're racist, homophobe, right wing, narrow-minded, religiously fanatical, red neck, or simply insert the adjective of your choice.

I thought the scouts were made homosexual friendly by law since they were discriminating against that protected group. The homosexuals are a protected group under law now aren't they?

Rush to market with what you advertise as a "game changer" with a great price point which means lower margins... While not a good comparison, Jeep advertised release of the new Cherokee for late 2013; didn't appear until 2014. Problems with the 9spd auto, but since they wanted to make a statement and introduce a "game changer" in that segment, they waited in order to refine and perfect. Now Remington will be overloaded with warranty work, phone calls from irate customers and severely damage the desireability of the R51 specifically and Remington ownership in general...incurring additional expenses and loss of sales revenue on a product with already has a pretty slim margin based on it's price point. I almost forgot about the tooling, training, packaging and marketing costs to bring it to market. Yikes. Didn't anyone think to torture test a few dozen of these things from different lots to see what would happen? Wasn't anyone remotely curious? You make guns, I'm sure you could have found at least one employee who would have volunteered to shot for free if you provided the ammo...I'll bet a dozen or so TGO-ers would have round tripped if Remington posted "looking for proficient shooters to blaze through a few thousand rounds, we provide guns, ammo and targets." Epic Fail on so many levels for a what I think could still be a great compact platform.

Any other Game of Thrones fans? ***CONTAINS SPOILERS***

Another fan here. If you haven't read the books, I don't think you would be disappointed with the "artisitic license" adapting a literary series into mini-series. The books obviously give more in-depth character development; Tyrion is NOT a comic-relief character. I'm still waiting for Martin to finish the Winds of Winter. -

Job security and reduced risk for the non-health-insurance carrying criminal element. Proud to say, along with my successful WM boycott (not a dime since November 2012) I have only patronaged one posted business in the last 6 months and haven't been forced to enter a guv'mint infuenced "safety zone" building. In reviewing the Knoxville list, it appears the Tex-Mex restaurants are heavily weighted to the NO side. While it doesn't merit a zillion dollar guv'mint sponsored survey, I wonder why?
