  1. Protecting yourself from an armed assailant is a job, right? So my gun is a tool that sits in a toolbox on my belt until I need it. The tool you bought knowing you may need it but hope to never have to use it.
  2. Whoa, all that .22; did you hit the lottery, rob from your retirement fund or sell a kidney? All joking aside good to see .22 becoming more available!
  3. Papa has piqued my curiosity on the Greek pizza too...
  4. Only thing guv'mint is concerned about is their "fair share" of revenue on the bribes, kickbacks and profit margins. They use antitrust, mail/wire fraud and the rest to make us feel good about how guv'mint investigates, prosecutes and enforces the law to protect us little people. Will they prosecute those who paid bribes and kickbacks if discovered some were guv'mint employees?
  5. more like halo, call of duty and gta...
  6. Watched through the credits, ammo is fiocchi 9x21 124gr. Make a difference at these distances?
  7. Looks good to me, what's beyond the logs?
  8. I renewed by mail and it took 3 weeks. Others have had similar experience but I would be proactive once you get your renewal form.
  9. My opinion on selecting a bug would be partly based on how well I could shoot it with my off hand. Makes sense since it is probably carried from weak side draw. If I present my bug I figure: 1. Can't access my primary (time/body position in relation to direction of threat)2. My primary fails and I don't have time with weak side draw to switch the bug to strong side shooting 3. Strong side is immobilized from injury 4. I'm a southpaw and get car jacked- its nigh impossible to left hand draw from the driver's seat and target a threat in the driver's window. My bug is a car gun for that very reason. I don't carry my bugs since they are not lightweights and have been primaries - MK9 and a pair of SP101s (and the MK9 is currently in primary rotation)
  10.   DS, I don't know exactly how May apples grow, but if they're like regular apples, you must have some pretty cool tree-climbing turtles out there in Grainger County...
  11. I think it would be "safer" not to head down range when the line was hot, even if I had trained with my shooting buddies.   I understand they have trained / deployed together and probably have the skill set to operate safely in this kind of environment.   Heading down range in this particular scenario didn't appear to be a training exercise, just one guy impatient to allow the shooter to finish and wanted to get the target ready for when it was his turn.   What if the Saiga had jammed, shooter muzzle-swept the area when trying to clear and had a ND? Not probably but falls within the realm of possible.
  12. You may get a knock on your door inquiring why you're trying to buy second hand yellow cake from Iraq...
  13. This is a very important feature for any handgun owner who moonlights as a double naught spy
  14. For "dressy" I bought a black leather Goodrich and Gould at Greene's. sub 50. My first belt was the 5.11 Casual - maroon leather made in China. This belt has been in service got 5+ years and construction wise still in great shape. Down side is how poorly the finish has held up in the area where the holster clip rides on the belt. I guess I could hit it with some shoe polish...
  15. CZ fan because they're "czexy" I've got 2, a 75B Omega and P01 SDP ergonomically the best for my hand. My MK9 isn't too far behind and I have a special place in my heart for my pair of SP101 s
  16. Check out ebolamonkeyman.com
  17. 2 posts and he probably gets an over ride from the Internet retailer. Cool t shirt and teespring looks like a neat idea for marketing/selling without having to stock inventory. May be a violation terms of use AND let's get some TGO shirts designed!
  18. Either/or for me depending on attire. I didn't find the cross breed style comfortable and landed on the N82 tactical. Mostly love it.
  19. The likelihood of the unwashed masses noticing that you're printing with a Nano is slim to none, both in Illinois and here in Tennessee. While I am very much an "under the radar" kind of guy, I could care less if I get made; I have a permit, don't knowingly violate gfz's and actually invest time and money to be proficient with my handguns. you'll be fine once you drink our Kool Aid
  20. If it's an NRA sanctioned class, I assume the content is good and the instructor to be decent. Quality and competency of Instructors can and will range wildly. What's the cost?
  21. A quick search revealed GAF can be purchased at home depot...so they are selling as a DIY product. The "certified" installer clause is an escape clause, along with the underlayment requirements. My guess is shingles don't fail, it is installation error so retain a competent contractor
  22. NOT a roofer buy make sure the shingles are rated for southern summers
  23. Cassidy’s bill would simply modify the Internal Revenue Code to replace the definition of an antique gun from one made before 1898 to one manufactured in or before 1913, the last year before World War I. I admit I am out of touch with the thousands of federal, state and local gun laws on the books, but they need to modify the INTERNAL REVENUE CODE???!!! How many different guv'mint agencies have oversight or more importantly exert control, influence and limitations on the 2A. ATF, FBI, EPA, IRS; who else is in the act?
  24. I carried a 75B Omega as my primary edc for years and recently downsized to a P01 SDP. With a good belt, holster and appropriate cover garment it worked for me and I'm 5' 8" × 165 lbs.
  25. Oh, even with all the advice and guidance here you'll still end up with a box of holsters, it's a right of passage. For pocket carry, the Remora or Nemesis are good choices for holsters. Have used both for my SP101. Buy a good belt!
