  1. Papa Murphys is much more community friendly, big sign saying EBT accepted. Since their food isn't cooked there's the loophole. How much unprepared food could you buy and meals made for the price of two PM pizzas?
  2. Like Dolomite, I am enamored by the x25 round, ballistically it is pretty amazing considering it's a handgun round. Have been debating for years to add a cz52 to my CZ family... There's something to be said for .357sig too...
  3. Per the specs frame is aircraft aluminum, capacity is 10+1.
  4. Based on the grammar alone it's got to be a scam. I forwarded the email to the company to put them on alert. Have never bought anything from eagle so not sure how this pos found my email
  5.   Don't you mean the Marshall Plan?

I think the difference comes from being a "city" vs. a "large town"   Look at any urban area (Chicago, NY, Philly) my guess is the inhabitants are more aloof and less friendly than the nice folks who make up the greater Knoxville area.   On the other end of the population density spectrum, head out to Del Rio and I'll bet the locals are very aloof when viewing outsiders...
  7. 45guy, on 03 Jul 2014 - 07:47 AM, said: Agreed. If our government continues on its current path, it's really only a matter of time before we're all felons. Another Atlas Shrugged prophecy??? Dr. Floyd Ferris to Hank Reardon, Chapter 3, White Blackmail "Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We WANT them broken. You better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against - then you'll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We're after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you'd better get wise to it. There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one MAKES them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kinds of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted - and you create a nation of law-breakers - and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with." copyright 1957
  8.   Robert,   it's on the VA side...
  9. If superman wears Chuck Norris pajamas, then Chuck must wear Jerry Miculek pajamas...
  10. We need more criminals to legally try to buy firearms from licensed dealers to get the most out of the TICS / NICS system.   We need those who are mentally ill, habitual drug users and straw purchasers to be honest when filling out the 4473.   Otherwise where's all the fun for guv'mint and media crackdown with all you law-abiding, mentally competent folks buying firearms?
  11. Recent business travels took to me to the Bristols (TN and VA)   Under construction is a Bass Pro in Bristol TN and Cabela's @ Exit 5 in VA.
  12. Mother was a hamster, father smelt of elderberrys (and I fart in your general direction)
  13. I checked out him shooting the Barrett from the shoulder, 6 - .50cal rounds in 1 second???!!!   Jerry is the Chuck Norris of firearms.
  14. ...got this email today, but I don't get paid until next week.   Anyone in a position to help him out?    Hoping this email reaches you well, I'm writing this with tears in my eyes, my family and I came down here to Istanbul, Turkey, for a short vacation and got mugged at the park of the hotel we lodged, all our cash, credit card and Cell Phone were stolen off us at GUN POINT,I sustained a deep cut on my fore-head from the incident but luckily for us we still have our passports with us but don't have enough money to sort the bills so we can get out of here. We've been to the embassy and the police here but they're not helping issues at all and our flight leaves soon, but we're having problems settling the hotel bills, the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills. Really I'm freaked out at the moment. Wondering if you could help us with a quick loan,I promise I'll refund it  once we get home. Please write me so i can send you the info on how you can get the money to me,so as to save me from the embarrassment of not being able to cover the bills. Please get back to me asap, I'll advise on how to send it. Raj Eagle Grips 460 Randy Road Carol Stream, IL 60188 U.S.A "Eagle Grips- For the perfect mating of iron to hand"
  15. I've worn a 1968 Rolex Air King since 1982. Stainless with a black face and smooth bezel. Understated and classy (imho) What I can tell you about Rolex is they do strongly recommend service every 3-5 years to have the crown gasket replaced, guts cleaned/oiled, worn parts replaced and case pressure checked. On my watch runs about $300. The service also includes case and band buffed and polished as well as the crystal replaced (I don't have a scratch resistant sapphire crystal) Pretty much looks like new after my guy sends it back. I assume a lot of higher end watches have some kind of recommended maintenance intervals. Dad has a Corum, gold case with leather band, wedding gift from Mom in 1963. Mechanical (obviously) and thinner than many quartz movement watches out there. From watching hard core pawn, apparently there is a website where you can enter the watch serial number to determine if real or a "Molex"
  16. Like most of you will probably end up with the box o' holsters until you find the ONE (or two) It's been my experience IWB is such a personal choice based on body shape and attire that what works may not work. Crossbreed is very popular here on TGO, yet I don't find them comfortable preferring N82 tactical. I have also learned holsters with full sweat shields are a compromise; they can impede getting a good/proper grip when drawing
  17. The 640 may be a great platform for her, the extra weight shooting .38spl should be tame! "Honey I got the 442 so I could give you the 640..." Just so you know, she won't really believe you.
  18. Unless you get a lemon (possible with ANY brand) how could you go wrong with a $300 1911? I agree it's a great price point to learn the platform and spend a few buck upgrading parts. Have heard polishing feed ramps on 1911 can be tricky if you get the angle off, but I'm not a 'smith. I'll bet the new springs and a few more rounds through it will fix it.
  19. I'm not an expert, but would opine one shot stops from a handgun are due to placement not energy, caliber, expansion or magic. Since I'm not a special forces operator and do not have a similar training program, I'll stick with more rounds of cheaper-to-practice-with 9mm If I want to send some additional handgun heat down range, I'll break out my .357 With my limited ballistical knowledge, if I was Leo or military, I think I'd want a high cap in .357sig.
  20. A lot of members here love the cross breed rig. My preference is the N82 Tactical.
  21. Pawn shops who sell new guns or the dreaded gun show?
  22. Just watched it on Netflix. I hope when the zombies show up they are slower like in zombie land. Those fast zeds in wwz are scary.
  23. We just ate the last quart of last year's tomatoes...new crop is yellow on the way to red. My wife wanted to make sure we have enough this year so we have 24 plants. We may not have to plant next year! Beans, yellow squash and zucchini producing, should have peppers within the week, okra a and corn not too far behind. I love free fresh food!
  24. Fleeing? Why? Adverts all over tv down here saying how NY is so business friendly with 10 years of tax free bliss...On tv/Internet = true, right?
  25. How in the world did lobbyist, congressman or senator not make the list? Just watched Casino Jack on Netflix...
