  1. Frozen pizza of your choice, we like Tombstone or Tony's   Add home grown, garden fresh Roma tomatoes and basil   Supplement toppings with your choice of extra cheese, pepperoni, etc.   Bake   Devour
  2. My title was misleading, I'm not currently building one, just starting my research. As far as cost, what will the parts cost?
  3. What can expect to spend for a reliable platform?   What mags do you use?   What is the effective range?   Any idea how ballistics would compare to a .38/.357 carbine?
  4. The next firearm I'll most likely buy will be a .22LR   I just don't know which one to get.   Looked at numerous:   1022s, from practical to tactical (Tuffus just posted a video on the 50th anniversary model which looks pretty cool)   Other semis   Lever guns   bolt action   AR-style   M1 Carbine style   It'll be for target / plinking and "survival" should the EOTW come a-knockin'   Suggestions, recommendations and opinions needed!
  5. Watched the video, pretty cool platform! Congrats on a good buy.
  6. Our cucumbers went from ones and twos to overwhelm, harvesting to start pickles!
  7. Randy, looks like we've got 15+ planning on attending...
  8.   +1000 on getting a good belt, made a HUGE difference for me
  9. Any lack of confidence should be in the gun, not your abilities to break-down and re-assemble.   With the new pin, you will be good to go, but I understand your concern...   Years ago I had an LCR, which had a mfg'er defect - the area on the strap directly above the forcing cone began to crater.   With all the research I did, I only found one other report where an owner had a similar problem.   Sent it back to Ruger, they promptly replaced it.   Loved that little gun, look, weight, trigger and shootability;  I was 99.9% confident my new LCR would be fine and would never have the same problem again.   It was the .1% lack of confidence that prompted me to sell it.
  10. What does bar stock of Ti cost? I know it's not the cost, but actually making it happen, thanks for posting!   I noticed when he was milling it appears all he did was hit it with compressed air to remove the shavings. I work with a buddy in an aluminum fab shop and was taught to use cutting fluid to keep the blades / bits cool and lubricated. Have seen CNC machines bathe the parts in fluid while being machined. Does Ti have different properties when being machined?
  11. Welcome Tim,   My first semi was a P95 and love my pair of Ruger SPs.
  12. Hi Mike,   I don't reload, but we definitely have some diehard re-loaders who are members and willing to share their knowledge.   welcome.
  13. Anyone with a CZ is a. o.k. in my book, welcome aboard!
  14. come on in, the water's fine!
  15. Welcome and thank you for wanting to be a benefactor!   I'll admit to waiting way to long to support this forum financially and have gotten miles of great information and made some friends to boot!
  16. Welcome,   while I don't wear a tin foil hat, I do have family in the Woodlands...
  17. My favorite is spotted owl egg omelets
  18. You buddy is pretty cool in my book and there can be some  fringe benefits to supporting a LGS

  20. If the master plan is to eliminate the middle class we set the stage for the new aristocracy created by greed, power, influence and money "balanced" against the rest of us in serfdom, last time I checked, this program didn't work out to well for the tzars... I saw a late model S class Benz with an Obama bumper sticker - didn't the owner understand that "lifting up the poor" means they should be entitled to driving a Benz too? The aristocracy of pull better be careful, the mob they have pandered to has been fed and they will want more since they have needs...and they ain't going to be satisfied with free bread and alms.
  21. Bump, less than 30 days away!
  22. When someone says you don't need a service contract on a 95k mile unit, I guess that means they will step up and take care of your repairs IF needed. You don't need insurance either since you're not planning on using it, right? Just because you don't use it doesn't mean it's a bad deal.
  23.   No more rhyming and I mean it...   Not sure how I can pick even one per genre.
  24. If you are in the Knoxville area, try j.floyd's in Sevierville. I was in there today and they had a bunch of Fiocchi for $89.95 (not sure of the quantity as I wasn't shopping for it) but it was packaged in those smaller plastic ammo "cans" (size was like the 350 round count 9mm blazer brass)
