  1. Excellent write up and it's awesome you found a trainer you like close to home.
  2. Almost dropped...easier load up for me since all of my primary edc holsters are clips vs. Loops...pants -> belt -> holster and handgun
  3. Stay active but don't overdo it, your body doesn't recover as quickly as in years past. I was in my late 30s / early 40s before I had the wisdom to understand spiritual health and growth. Here's the good news, best I can tell the great men of the Bible were 40+ when they achieved success
  4. Based on the recent negativity in his posts, I knew our mods would fire at least one warning shot across his bows. I missed the personal attack and as member would have been disappointed if our mods had not taken appropriate action.
  5. That makes two of us
  6. Keep it up!
  7. It's the bomb, I'm tempted to get a K9 but don't really have a need
  8. Which area of the state?
  9. Depending on attire I carry a CZ P01 SDP which is da/sa with a decocker or a Kahr MK9. On rare occasions I'll carry my 3" SP101 from Gemini Customs. Like them all so no preference. I prefer the semis simply because of capacity, faster reload and ease of carrying mags vs speed loaders/moon clips. Speed strips carry easy but are not particularly speedy
  10. The follicle test catches about 4 months of bad habits; tobacco, mj and other drugs. My guess is the employer is looking for other drugs. As TMF alluded to pills, coke and the like flush out in 4 days since they are water soluable. mj is stored in fat cells and it takes good old metabolism to eventually filter it out.
  11. Not really, when it asks for your emotional response, i.e. crying, it is very clear the attacks on the 2A will continue to shift from facts and rational debate to emotions and feelings
  12. Good grief, too much negativity mixed in with the congrats. Job or career with a name brand company that should offer stability as long as HE cares to work there. Cause a major foul up like dropping something off your forktruck, yeah you may get gone immediately. Having run a fork in a warehouse there are few legit reasons for losing a load. nights and shift work? New guy typically get short end of the stick while building seniority. Dude, happy that you have a job you are looking forward to with stability and a potential future career if you like the work and organization!
  13. So you did test first before committing a raticide. It's a short step to homicide.
  14. I'm not a follower of Rand's philosophy nor was she a Christian. I do find her writings in Atlas shrugged to be somewhat prophetic in that I see many of the abuses and excesses of guv'mint and the idle rich coming to pass. The only reason unregulated capitalism doesn't work is the selfishness of man and the "owners of business" not giving "fair" exchange for my or your labor - Rand believed in her capitalistic utopia that there would be fair exchange of skill/labor/brains for wages/goods/services. I agree with you; because of man's inherent selfishness her fantasyland of unregulated capitalism would take us back to the abuses of the Industrial Revolution.
  15. I would have some availability on Saturday 8/16 and don't live too far from Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area, please feel free to pm me also
  16. I haven't had my 995 out since switching back to the ATI Storm knock off stock and adding my super high end BSA red dot. Maybe this weekend! It looks cool and evil with the added bonus of being Kali compliant
  17. Wonder if the 4000+ we popped off Sunday in south Knox County registered on any body's radar...I didn't notice any drones overhead...
  18. And another thing...I am glad we have social security as a safety net and that is what is supposed to be...my uncle worked for years and had a stroke. My brother in law worked for years and had a debilitating heart attack he never recovered from. I have close friends who have a quality of life because of the safety net. But guess what, they were and would still be PRODUCERS if not for legitimate illness or injury.
  19. I boil it down to: are you a producer or are you a looter? I am not on this earth to work for others. My Christian duty is to help those who can't help themselves, provide a hand up not a hand out. The most un-Christian thing someone can do is use guilt to get another to fulfill their wants, needs and desires without putting forth any individual effort. Want a bigger home, nicer car, more guns and you can't make it happen on your current income? Get a second job. Give up some "needs" like cable television, high speed Internet, beer and cigarettes. Stop buying processed food and actually cook, put out a garden and can/freeze. Give up leisure time of watching sports all day Saturday and Sunday and produce something. I lost my job in 2008 and worked 3 jobs to keep my home, buy food and maintain my excellent credit - it takes sacrifice and humility but it can be done.
  20. I wonder how they handle Galt's 33 page radio address. Read the book, still have my copy with highlighted passages (some of which I have posted on tgo) and still enjoyed the movies. Looking forward to part 3. My question is not who, but where is John Galt. We're getting close...
  21. CZ P01 SDP = 33.3 14+1 Kahr MK9 = 24.2 6/7+1
  22. Dude, if I was in market, I'd own yours!
  23. Another informative video, particularly interesting for me since I don't own a saiga. Thanks for posting!
  24. There will be a bunch of 9mm brass to scavenge after our training day on Sunday in South Knoxville. If you're willing I will give you access to the range next week
