  1. That was a lot of reading to find out I have to have properly operating lights on my vehicle to be law abiding. With a little common sense and personal accountability we could probably reduce the TCA by at least a third. How many laws are simply revenue generators in disguise?
  2. Good news, the gun buster at east town mall is for a Desert Eagle, I took it as all others welcome.
  3. You have brightened my day again.
  4. Should read law abiding AMERICANS and substitute may not to DO NOT
  5. I'll be out of town working too. I don't think Randy likes us much anymore...
  6. Anyone care to post some along? As I watch the snow falling I'm guessing my outdoor (and free) range time is going to be scaled way back.
  7. Grip zone = lowest common denominator = not someone who should own a gun
  8. I've always carried the 124+ Would I be better off with the 147 out of: Glock 17, CZ 75B, P01 and Kahr MK9.
  9. If you're proficient reloading, 2 extra mags gives you 24 rounds.   I would hope that would be enough rounds of any caliber for an close range encounter of a bad kind.   The only reason I mention reloading was the first IDPA match I ever participated in...   Two shooters had 1911s, both performed flawlessly, shooter #1 had more experience, his reloads were smooth, shooter #2 seemed to fumble and lose time under pressure with the narrow(er) mag well as compared to my "ease"  with a double stack 9
  10. I divested of my .22 long guns and substituted for a 9mm carbine (Hi Point) Always bought "higher end" .22 for my pistols ($5/50 price point) because it cycled better than bulk. Since no one shoots .22lr anymore in my family, I've got enough ammo to hold me over for a long while.
  11.   Concur   Then I hop on over to TNoutdoors9 for ammo reviews.
  12. My aunt and uncle have been adopting retired racers for years...i think you've got a new bff
  13. I too like the N82 Tactical and also have 3 from High Noon
  14. And real estate ALWAYS appreciates! Lol At the lower end of Ruger's price point (400 and below) the handgun market is fierce with quality domestics and impressive imports from South America and Turkey.
  15. And now it takes me all night to do what I could do all night...
  16. Lmao! (Dude seems to have a lot of spare time on his hands)
  17. If i recall correctly it looked like standard 115 gr. Fmj. I didn't get too far past the price, so the brands elude me right know.
  18. Still at 62% I had no idea I was a threat to the public safety with no pending felony charges, past convictions, no drug/alcohol use/abuse or history of mental illness.
  19. Don't you also need a special tool for removing the gas piston? Thought I saw something in the Fulton Armory catalog.
  20. Looks great! I'd leave it shiny and do the extra maintenance to fight surface rust.
  21. Anybody seen one "on-the-shelf" in Knoxville area? Caster, could you replace the standard strap with 25 round bandolier in lieu of strapping to the scabbard proper? (If possible I may do it to the one I get)
  22. Seems high at over .30/round for 1000 round bulk. Bass pro has better pricing if you're shopping in the Sevierville locale.
  23. Concur on accuracy and capacity, my 9mm Hp can group better than my skills allow, I currently have 8 mags...
  24.   Not sure what a new one gets you.   Fulton Armory is producing some high end M1 carbine parts and gunsmithing services for what I assume is for competition grade pieces.   Even if you bought a ragged out tired but loyal old dog, with all the parts available (both original and re-pro to spec) and a little skill, you could bring an original back to life.   Plus the added bragging rights of learning how to "re-arsenal" an M1 Carbine from Youtube, posting on YouTube and becoming a phenome.   Keep it 30 years for your grandkids and now they're shooting a fully functioning 100 year old piece of history - if that isn't cool I don't know what is.   Thanks for all the feedback, really appreciate it. I'll keep her stock and ready to rock. Gotta get a bayonet...
