How to ship a firearm for service?
A.J. Holst replied to billyblazes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It appears scheduling a pick up solves the problem, seems at least as secure as drop off and certainly more convenient for me. -
We're similar builds, I have a few large tshirts that fit pretty well untucked. I can't recommend a specific brand, it's like the box o' holsters.

From the assistant / valet perspective, I was very pleased with student performance and flow of the class. The newly developed training area and use of equipment at Windrock is outstanding. Shout out to Brother Al for his RSO and range valet assistance, thank you for keeping us on track on moving forward. We had 9 attendees, all of whom were interested in discovering their baseline skill level. Randy provided some back to basics dry fire exercises to compliment the upcoming live fire drill. Based on overall accuracy and speed results, I'd say it made it a difference. The drills, 9 shooters, 1p - 430p, Rastoff's Challenge, FBI Qualification, Bakersfield PD Qualification and the original Federal Air Marshal Qualification. Congratulations to the entire class, everyone shot high 80s to high 90s on the FBI Qualification. @John Hearne mentioned in class,"if are routinely better than 80% on the drills you are shooting, you probably need to add different/ more difficult drills to your training." My only complaint: while temps were the mid 80s, the humidity was miserable. If your sweat isn't evaporating, how do you stay cool? For you girls and guys who work without air conditioning, you have my utmost respect. This is not to discourage anyone from attending summer sessions, simply awareness for proper hydration, Sun protection and staying cool. Having thermo regulation issues, I am extremely cautious from late May to early September. If northern Alabama is convenient, Randy is offering this same event next weekend. Our next planned class at Windrock is Sunday, October 2. Please consider joining us for our fundamentals of fighting in and around your vehicle. Watching the news, it may be a skill set worth adding to your training journey.

A.J. Holst replied to LeeTheToolGuy's topic in Firearms Classifieds
If you are looking for or considering a first PCC for under $600, it fits the bill. My HP has run and run and run, keeping up with $1000+ platforms in multiple carbine classes. GLWS! -
We have annual internet security training; don't click on a link if you don't know the sender and yes, Call the sender / organization to validate! Be cautious, you may get the one English speaking scammer in Estonia. Multi billion dollar business, not going away anytime soon.

I'm looking forward to it having attended John's who wins / who loses lecture. It nice to be able to unwind and be a student from time to time! Only 3 hours from Knox and you gain an hour on the way... -
My one AR is this rifle. I have not had a malfunction to date over several thousand rounds. I would recommend to anyone looking for their first or next AR

The most overlooked piece of advice. I had good holsters, it was life changing once I got a proper gun belt. Toted a CZ 75B Omega AIWB for years. I still carry a full size when dress and place appropriate

I'm a 9mm guy and pretty committed to the APX series; full size, centurion, compact and carry (and a centurion with extra compact grip module for .40) As all are similar, I get reps on the 'same' pistol regardless of what I have one. Exception is the Carry, trigger is different from the double stack APX models. I'd carve out a big "except when" for the guys and girls who competitively pistol shoot (formal or informal) or love to shoot what they collect.
