  2. My pants are loose so I don't think it would be a big deal...I'm just wondering how concealable is an OWB holster...
  3. I am looking to get a carry holster for my first ccw and I can't decide which one would be better for me...I have been researching on both and people say that IWB are not very comfortable at all...So what I'm wondering is how concealable is an OWB holster? I wear my shirts untucked and usually my clothes are a little big...So what are your guys input? Thanks, Coty
  4. Only good poisonous snake is a DEAD one!! Same way with freakin spiders
  5. Thanks for all the help guys!! I will be checking around to see what all I can find...
  6. Wow thanks fir all the info and the offer! I'm bout an hour away from knox but I get down sometimes...I'm gonna be coming through next wed beacon to naheville and I'm sroppin at craigs to pick up my wifes 17... are.there a lot of indoor ranges in the knox area?
  7. Thanks for the info...I didn't notice it didn't have the beavertail safety...I will definately spend the extra hundred for it...
  8. Bud's has this gun for 468.00 and it ships for free seems like a great deal to me for my first 1911...I have a gen 3 glock19 on the way but I have always wanted a 1911 I just think they're awesome!! So my question for you guys is this a good first 1911...also are there some good aftermarket parts for this gun? It will prob be a safe queen but might pull night stand duty...only thing I would probably change would be a lighter trigger, magwell, and night sights...maybe some other things after I dive into the 1911 world!! Any experience with this gun good, bad, or ugly just let me know!! Thanks, Coty
  9. She'd is GTs at? I called craihs today and they have a few in so im gonna head down in the next day or so and pick one up!
  10. What does taking a list of glock codes and the different markings mean?
  11. haha this is true!! She likes going to the range with me and has sorta been interested in guns since we started dating...so I don't think it will be a huge deal to get her to go...
  12. I plan to stock up on some ammo and practice as much as financially possible!! hahaha...We had an indoor gun range just open in my area recently and plan on making good use of it!!
  13. Thanks for the input guys...what are you all using for defensive ammo? I figured a good hollow point would do well... or are people going with the fragmented bullets or what?
  14. I'm gonna call craig's tomorrow and see what they have in...hopefully they would have some 17s in...
  15. Thanks for the reply!! I was looking at sporstman's guide earlier and seeing what kind of ammo I could pick up from them...I know that I paid double what they want for ammo and a certain place the other day and I don't like blowing money on something like that lol...
  16. I'm getting ready to purchase my first CCW(glock 19) and will be shooting it as much as I can and also going to be getting my wife a night stand glock 17 so I'm gonna have her shoot a lot...I'm wondering if I can buy some cheap ammo for shooting at the range but get the good stuff for actual self defense and have them shoot the same? I will of course be using the same grain ammo so I would figure it would be ok to do this...especially since i will be shooting at 10-15 yards...Also anyinfo on some cheap 9mm ammo would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, CM
  17. That's awesome!! I'm gonna hafta definately check into this!! I will be buying a new 19 for my CCW but I'm wanting a used police gun cuz I can get it cheap and it's still functional and looks don't really matter since it will be a night stand gun...
  18. I'm very interested in getting one of these as well... it will be a night stand gun for my wife so holster wear isn't a problem... what do these run and what's a good place to get them from? Im prob gonna get a 17 since it wont be my ccw
  19. Thanks for the info guys!! I'm really looking forward to the trip!! I think we should be able to find some hogs along the rivers and maybe a few deer as well!!
  20. Thanks for the info... I was checking the regs and it looks like they have a hunt when I'm wanting to go but I didn't know if it was only open on specific days...
  21. Thinking about going to do a long weekend hunt in december for deer/hogs...Any info Is helpful...like chances of seeing a deer or hog...what the density is...also I'm kinda confused as far as if the season on the wma is the same as regular? Also we're planning on camping in a camper(tent if we have to) so is there any campgrounds like in the wma? I seen on the map on the tn website that they had denoted camp grounds...and does it cost anything to camp there? Thanks, Coty
  22. WOW!!! that deer is massive and the fact that he's killed multiple deer over 200 says he has to be doing SOMETHING right!!!
  23. Thanks for all the replies guys!!
  24. Well who would that guy be? Lol...I want to get a good belt because this seems to be one of the building blocks for concealed carry...I usually always wear T-shirts and polos and button ups untucked...so will this help me with being able to carry IWB and OWB?
  25. So I see all the guys saying a good belt is the basis...what's a good belt you guys like and recommend and what makes a good belt? Also I would think concealing and OWB would be hard to conceal...
