  1. Are you sure that it was .22MAG shot shells? I know they always have .22LR as I pick up ammo while I'm in there quite frequently.
  2. I ordered the YH Mite for my P22 and rifles. If the ATF ever sends back the paperwork I will let you know how it goes...

    Kel Tec KSG

You're probably right. I was just basing that on the fact they ship 500 PMR 30's a week. From my experience you can get a Sub2K pretty easy if you look or ask your dealer to order you one. I have one that takes G17 mags and it is sweet.

    Kel Tec KSG

They will go like hot cakes at $800, watch them. If the PMR 30 is any indication, they will go for over 1K for the first 6 months or more. Kel-Tec is a very small company and if I had to guess, will only produce 400-500 of these a week, which will not come close to keeping up with the demand. Maybe they learned their lesson from the PMR as it has caused several frustrated supporters and are producing KSG's now to have plenty to release in the fall. I hope so, but doubt it.
  5. Thank you sir! I searched hard about a week ago thru the same google search and everytime I would go to check out it would tell it was out of stock or backorded. I got them from CTD just now along with some other ammo. Guess I should have tried one more time before posting. Thanks again.
  6. Anybody having any luck finding these or know where I can get some? I haven't been able to find any online or in local shops. Plenty of .22LR, 9MM, .38/357 and .45LC everywhere I looked, but none for .22mag. Snake season is in and could use some for my revolver.
  7. Getting ready to get a .22 suppressor and have some barrel questions if anyone has any experience. I have a 10/22 and Mark II that I would like to attach the suppressor to. Can I get those barrel's threaded and if so, any reccommendation on who I should go to in Nashville area? Otherwise I will just buy threaded barrels but just trying to save some money. Also, can I attach a bull barrel to my 10/22 or do I have to I have to get a different stock? Thanks.
  8. Based on the article the 45LC would be the better choice. So now the question is, is a 45LC from a 4inch barreled revolver a legitimate round to take a deer from 25 yards and in? And if so, would lead tipped or hollow point be better?
  9. Thanks for the info but I'm actaully looking more for advice on which round would be more effective on Deer within 25 yds.
  10. I bought a 4 inch Judge so that I could legally hunt/carry while hunting. If a shot presented its self, 25 yards or in, I may use it to take a deer. The question is should I load it with 410 slugs or 45LC? I realize the LC is much heavier but I feel like I would get more penetration (which is always a good thing;)) out of the slug. Just wanted to get others opinion or experience. If you feel neither is a good option, let me know as well. Honestly the odds of that shot presenting itself where I hunt would be slim to none, but since I will be carrying the judge, I was curious.
  11. I grew up hunting in Arkansas and we also put corn out. We even started using timed feeders. It never made it any easier or gave us a huge advantage. Every buck we took was either crossing a gravel road or a powerline. They were also chasing does, though never were those does eating corn when the chase began. I won't discount that you may see more deer by corning, but it by no means makes it like shooting fish in barrel.
  12. I agree with gtv about the .243, but that is not what you asked, and I'm pretty sure you already have that caliber based on your post. I would go witht the .223. You can find plenty of affordable ammo for punching paper. For varmints, it's easily flat out to 300 and really retains enough energy out to 600. You can get 85gr ammo for deer, though it wouldn't be my choice for deer, it's the best of the 3 IMHO. I have attached a link to the rifle I would purchase as well. I'm also a big believer in Savage witht accutrigger and I love a heavy barrel. Good luck with whatever you decide. Keep us updated. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/78350
  13. For those who are also patiently waiting for this gun I thought you may enjoy the article below. Kel-tec is stating they will be up to full production by the end of October. I would assume the prices would come down off of gunbroker by the first of year as well. Kel-Tec PMR-30 22 Magnum Semi-Auto Pistol
  14. Not sure where and if it falls at a "caliber", but I think 12 guage shells would have to be up there. Your odds of coming across those have to be pretty high.
  15. Wow, I signed up last night and I was the 45th person. I checked it today and there was 450. Not bad in a day! We all need to keep spreading the word about the site.

    .22lr Pistol?

If she can wait until 2015, she should get a Kel-Tec PMR 30.
  17. Done. Great idea and trying to spread the word as well. Thanks again.
  18. I carry a PF9 just about everyday and it is a perfect "pocket" 9mm. For what you are wanting, it will fill the void perfectly.
  19. It was a 100gr Hornaday BTSP interlock bullets light magnum. One of the better rounds I found for deer hunting at the time.
  20. Second the .243. Very versatile from varmint to whitetail. Back to the original post though, does that savage model come with the accutrigger?
  21. I killed a fox while deer hunting with my .243 with a 100gr round and the exit hole was not that bad at all, though that could have been a fluke. The pelt turned out just find though.
  22. Everyone should own a gun chambered for the .22LR. It's perfect for squirrel hunting and great for plinking. For your centerfire round I would recommend the .243. Can get 70 gr rounds for fox, yotes and so on, but also 100 gr for deer.
  23. Does the Glock 26 work as a "pocket gun"? I carry a pf-9 now because it is a great pocket gun, but since I own a G17 and KT Sub 2000 (accepts G17 mags) the G26 is starting to make sense as my carry gun.
  24. Taurus Judge What you think it says: "Watermelons and perps beware, I have the ultimate defensive firearm at my side." What it really says: "I couldn’t hit a 5″ plate at 25 feet with one bullet, might as well not hit it with three or five pellets."
  25. Wow, it almost makes me tear up to think about only having 5 guns, either way here is my list. Glock 17 Kel-Tec Sub 2000 (accepts glock 17 mags) AR 15 in 6.5 Grendel Remington 870 12 Gauge Ruger Mark II
