I'm glad to know I'm not the only one intrigued by this pistol. I'm on the list as well, but I'm probably a year or so out. Rusty, you have to give us an update when you get it. I hope and think this one is going to live up to the hype. My last gun I waited a long time for did. (PMR-30)

Boberg XR9-S. After some research, I've drank the koolaid. By the time my name comes up on the list, I will know more from other users if it is everything it claims to be. That's probably a year from now based on current production...One good thing with the list is don't put any money down and you can pass when it's your turn.

I wanted to resurrect this old thread since we can start too many, and I thought some of the old posts were funny considering the gun has finally started shipping. I also thought it should be brought back to life as the majority of the posts are concerning some type of pocket or easily concealable pistol. Most of those threads are also in the 9mm. Why so many posts on pocket 9mm??? Let's be honest, we all want the easy of carry of a LCP or P3AT with the power of a 45. We want the most power that we can comfortably carry. While this gun is no .45, because of the longer barrel you achieve almost the same ballistics as a G26 in a pistol about the same size as a Kahr 380! I'm extremely intigured for that reason alone. The fact that it also has less recoil (most 9mm pistols are so snappy it makes practice miserable), is also a huge selling point. Some people have complained about price at $949. (Your name must be on a waiting list.) From initial reviews of owners is that it is a high quality, well built pistol with only the best material used. The price does not bother me for a pistol I would carry everyday and allow my life to depend on. IF the pistol continues to fufill it's promises of quality and reliability as more people review and test the gun, I would be happy to pay that for it. I would encourage you to take a minute to check out the site, if anything I love to see new AMERICAN innovation. This challenges the mold of handguns as we know it, and benefits us as consumers and firearms enthusiast. Boberg Arms

PF9 is a good but not great pocket carry gun. That includes both back and front pocket. Not nearly as good at the 3AT, but I did it everyday for about a year. It will not be as comfortable as your 3AT though. I would go with another G26 or a G30SF and carry your 3AT as a BUG. I carry a G26 and a P32 as my BUG. For those times I don't have my G26 with me, I always have my "get off me" gun in my back pocket.

Have you tried shooting a glock with a 3.5LB connector? It will still be plastic mush as you described it, but a lighter plastic mush. IMHO, no gun collection is complete without a G19. But again, to each their own.
-
I load 10 in my mags (G17) when I'm at the range to help stretch the ammo. I also have 10 shot groups as opposed to 17 or 18 for comparison. But like JohnyFox said, I'm also OCD so that's probably the main reason.

I read on Seecamps website that in most shootouts, people can't recall using their sights. I could see in the heat of the moment where you would have to point and shoot. My favorite line though is a direct quote from Seecamp's website. Maybe you should try it, nothing wrong with going semi-gangsta style at the range while practicing. Plus I've always heard when you point a gun sideways the bullets go faster. "If you hold the LWS pistol at a 45-degree angle semi-gangsta style there is a groove formed that can be used as a sighting tool"

Just wanted to provide an update as I have been away from the boards for awhile. I ended up getting offered a pretty good deal on a P32 so I jumped on it. I figured at worse I could "rent it" for awhile. I have been carrying it for over a week in my back pocket and sometimes forget it is there. I shot it today and very pleased with defense type accuracy. I was actually suprised by the overall accuracy after getting adjusted to the trigger pull. So far, as a BUG, this one fits the bill perfectly for now. I'm still interested in the Seecamp, as let's be honest, they are sexier, but this serves the purpose of what I was looking for.

I have G26, G19 and G17. I make sure they all have the 3.5 Connector and an extended slide release. The G26 and G19 have night sights and the G17 as a laser on the rail mount.

I have begun to look in the P32 as well, as it fits the same bill as what I'm looking for. I have crossed the NAA off the list as I don't think I would feel that comfortable with it in a pressure situation. I would rather have a pistol I'm already comfortable and familiar with. The P32 does not look as good, but it is lighter and thinner. When you speak of nickel slide, do you mean the hard chrome? I think the Seecamp is more desirable for me, but the availability of the P32 along with cost makes it appealing. How has your reliability been with it? Any other people have experience with a P32?

Steve thanks for the response and will give you a shout if I can ever get your way. This gun intrigues me because of size and the fact I know I would carry it all the time. It's a good little "get off me" gun, or allow me to fight my way to another gun as I always have a few pistols close. I had a buddy suggest a NAA in .22mag. There are a few reasons I'm skeptical about these guns (single action and no trigger guard) but I have heard that people love them. Advantages for me would be cost savings and its a caliber I already stock. (I have a PMR-30 and Savage 93FVS.) It would also be easy to conceal and it would serve a similar purpose for what I want. Does anyone have advice/opinion on those? Or suggest a good model, I believe that they have a few different to choose from. I may stop in shop this week to check one out too.

I am interested in getting a BUG that I carry at all times. I have a G26, G19 and J-Frame that I carry depending on mood, but not 100% of the time. The LWS32 would be carried at all the time in addition to my other guns. This gun intrigues me because of size and quality (based on my internet research.) 1.) Does anyone have any experience or knowledge with the firearm? 2.) Are there any middle TN shops that sell Seecamps? According to Seecamp's website the only authorized dealers are in East TN. I do realize I can go the gunbroker route, but would love to hold and inspect one first. Thanks for any input.

I have one on the way if my stamp ever comes back. It's been a little more than 3 months since I sent off my paperwork. Are you guys using anything special to clean it? My dealer told me to spray it with Rem Oil EVERY time after you shoot so I was just curious. -
Since there a lot of talk about hog hunting I thought I would share this video. It's long, but if you have time its pretty good. Bet it's not cheap to have those guys come in. Sure would be nice to get paid to do it...

Well worth the watch. Makes my glock feel kind of puney now...

Went in there yesterday and they only had the LR in STK. They did have a ton of .9mm and .380 though if anyone is looking. Prices wern't bad on the .380 either.

My dad and I used to "trim" shooting lanes in late summer for our deer stands with 10/22's. We would fill up the 30 round mags. Not the quickest way to trim limbs but a lot a fun and actually fairly effective for the higher limbs that were normally tough to reach.
-
The Wal-Mart by my house Old Hickory/Nolensville always has 9MM but .380 is hit or miss. The Outpost which is closer to you, always has ammo, but in my experience, not always the cheapest for range type ammo. Hadn't been in there in awhile but they should atleast have stock.

I used to do some work with Sabre at my previous job. I will see if I can't dig up anything. Though its been with in the last 8 months, not sure if any of my same contacts are there.

I guess y'all are saying that "no offense" doesn't work. Unfortunately my mind sometimes can't keep up with my mouth so I stay "on the couch" quite frequently. To the OP, the gun looks good. How many rounds down range with that guy and any issues to speak of as time as gone on?
-
Does "no offense" make it ok to say things that are offensive? I'm going to try it w/ my wife and report back my findings...

I have the S&W 351PD and love it. I originally bought the gun for summer carry, it's so light in the pocket I never notice it. I also got it to load with bird shot for fishing/hunting/out in the woods during the summer for snakes. I had a judge for that but it was so heavy I got where I didn't want to carry it as much. I also shoot a savage bolt action in .22mag and have PMR on order (not holding my breath) so I have slowly stocked up on .22mag ammo so I have plenty. While it is greatly debated, I think it at minimum is an underrated round. Hornady has also created a .22WMR in their Critical Defense line. Its MSRP is set for 16.00 for a box of 50, not bad for a premium round.
-
Fair enough. I must not have been looking close enough has every time I'm in there I thought it was just LR.
-
Are you sure that it was .22MAG shot shells? I know they always have .22LR as I pick up ammo while I'm in there quite frequently.

Recommend a suppressor for a P22?

I ordered the YH Mite for my P22 and rifles. If the ATF ever sends back the paperwork I will let you know how it goes...
