Rainwater collection / water trough for deer hunting
JWC replied to Wingshooter's topic in Hunting and Fishing
I question how much they'll use it in our climate and region. In very dry times I think they absolutely would. Idk about average rainfall times. They can drink out of puddles and get water from dew and succulent food sources. I'd think it'd be like that old lead a horse to water thing and you'd have additional mosquitoes lol An easier option may be to find a good flat spot that might hold water and start a large salt lick. After a few years they'll tear it up/dig it out and I've seen these holes hold water well. I guess you could even dig it out some with a shovel. Plus at the same time of year when they'd be lacking in water sources ,like mid summer droughts periods, they'll be attracted to salt also. -
I built one like this: http://www.shootersforum.com/general-discussion/71688-built-shooting-bench-today-pics.html It ain't much to it but it was cheap, easy to build, can hang on the wall out of the way in my carport, and works pretty well.

Congrats cuz! Personally, chemistry sounds pretty sh!tty to me.

9 months from start of construction to time to relocate equipment sounds pretty extraordinary.

I am wrong it does cite the LCP. I misread

I own an LC9 and an SR9c. I just don't see the point of this LC9s. Maybe they should call the new one an LC9 and renamed the current LC9 to the LC9st (sh!tty trigger)? A development that would make sense would be an SR45c or sc (subcompact) or LC45 but what ever.
-
A little bit bigger LC9 with a better trigger. Why didn't they just put a better trigger in an LC9?

+1 to all posts. Take today and tomorrow to hide anything of yours of value then tell her she needs to have her stuff out of your grandmama's house by sunset Sunday. Dolomite is spot on. And how I figure you don't need counseling homey, she does. Tell her to get some after she's gone. After that sell the game console on craigslist or throw it in the trash or whatever then go volunteer somewhere and make some connections for employment. Hell drive around and find a paving crew and tell the foreman you'll shovel mix all day for no pay and that by the end of the day he'll want to hire you. Then bust your ass. After your first check dump the car with the payment and find the cheapest pos you can and save for 6 mo and buy a better pos. All while improving your grandparents home and life in any way you can when you aren't working. If there's any work that needs to be done on their place you need to do it for them. Take a free Home Depot class or something if you don't know how to fix stuff. And don't even worry bout dhitp personally I'd be kinda leery bout dh at all because she may have that poison stuff that may make you decide she needs to stay around. But this thread has to be a troll...

After cleaning the obvious most people overlook the passages in the carb throat. They are so small you cant hardly clear them. A bristle pulled out a wire brush, bent with a 1/4" L in the end, and held with hemostats is the best way. Flip the butterfly open and there will be 1-3 tiny tiny ports in the carb throat you can barely see. Run the wire in carefully to clear. Rinse it all with carb cleaner. Blow dry with air. And give it a go with fresh fuel. If it don't start try one more time then go buy a new carb or new equipment. That's basically how I approach them. I say you can clean them and get them fixed about 50% of the time. On cheap Weedeater brand type equip it's more like 20%.

I made a guess and I 'magine I'm probably right. Either way it works. Edit: yeah I got it

Yeah I'd just never call her again. If you live together wait til she leaves and move all your stuff out. I admit it could be easier to just tell her it's over but it's kinda fun to disappear and think about her contemplating. Regardless it's over so go out on your terms. Kinda like "you can't fire me, 'cause I quit"

Canned Green beans, potatoes, and strawberry jam so far. Will make some pickles, salsa, and can some peas in a couple weeks. Might can peaches if I get a deal on peaches. Got some tomatoes in the dehydrator right now making sun dried tomatoes. I'm gonna run some squash and zucchini in it while I have it out too. Wife read that shredded and dehydrated it's good to add to soups and stews. Like most I got plenty of squash to experiment with, lol. I try to only put deer and other meat in the freezer. But did freeze 3 or 4 dozen ears of corn, a couple jars of pesto, and some strawberries so far.

Well I'd take my chances at being charged for shooting a by stander. If that gang banging, drug dealing, hood rat only had to do a year there'd be no way I'd ever do time. I ain't no lawyer though. Besides that the story linked was from 2011 any body wanna take bets on if he is back in prison or has served time and been released on unrelated charges since then? What's wrong with our justice-less system? -
Jets ftw. I used to like papa johns til Jets came to town. Way I figger that's the bout the only good thing all the new residents of MJ brought. Well I like Academy too but the whole Providence thing was better to me when it was just land to trespass on hunting.
