  1. I don't understand the issue. They were just doing a thorough investigation.
  2. A big cooler with a 3/4 screw on drain plus a short length of hose and a valve makes a good shower. Put it up high. Heat a couple buckets of water in metal buckets on propane burners fill cooler, take shower, conserving water. Water will stay hot in cooler for next person. If its cold out fashion an enclosure out of tarps and heat water inside. "huntin' camp bath"
  3. I don't gut em or bring em home anymore. Check it in on my phone*important with this method or you have to keep proof of sex hanging on a quarter* Lay it on the ground, skin up the back and down the sides. Cut out back strip, remove ham at joints, remove shoulder, cut out neck meat and any any other pieces you can, flip over, repeat. Toss in a cooler as you go. Imo it only takes a few minutes longer than field dressing and you ain't gotta jack with em at the house. Downside you don't get tenderloin.
  4. No big deal, we can just get it from China from now on.
  5. No shave November conveniently coincides with cool weather deer hunting.
  6. He may have killed more TSA agents if he'd a flipped up his rear sight.
  7. Had a neighbor said he made bows out if them once. Said he'd make me one but dude was so dang weird that i had to pass. I really like cool longbows and handmade stuff so that tells you how weird he had to be.
  8. Come get all you want.
  9. This thread wasn't resurrected, we're actually back in 2010.
  10. People throw their deer dogs over the fence at my wife's grandparent's property in FL. They catch 'em and put 'em in their kennel then load em up and carry 'em to jail. Local shelter is a no kill shelter and the dogs are nearly always tagged with name and number. The shelter calls the owner to get their hounds back and hit em for $200 bucks. It keeps peoples hounds off their place. They got nothing against hunting, dogs, or running deer with dogs, grandpa ran dogs for 60+ years. They just don't want nobody trespassing on their place. And in FL deer dogs gotta be able to read no trespassing signs.
  11. I will say a Milwaukee cordless jigsaw and drill with a hole saw does a good job. Nostalgic maybe, but not against power tools.
  12. We're pretty plain at my house. I'll admit my art is normally in oils and my canvas is typically a garage floor or my good clothes. Although not up to some of ya'lls standards, my kids (2 & 1) think they're just great and daddy done real real good. Also I'm kinda nostalgic and I like em the way we done em when I was a kid (my pappy was more of an oil painter too, lol)
  13. Her gun was secured, it was in her house. Apples/oranges but the idea that one is responsible when their things are stolen is akin to when one claims a rape victim dressed too provocatively. Least in my eyes... To that end she should go on tv and use my line. Turn the emotion around on emotion based, typically liberal, critics.

    Nov 1st rumors

After a little time to think about it, on Nov. 1, it is my belief that adults shall cease in referring to people they know as "BFF." (like the op did)
  15. I have found that jsesurplus.com has very competitive prices on things.

    Nov 1st rumors

Redfield's coming out with a rebate on Nov 1- $25 on regular old duplex reticle and $45 on their accu ranger reticle. In 3-9x42 it will make both cost pretty much the same. I need another scope for a 7mm-08 i just bought and like the Redfield Revenge I have on my muzzleloader so I may buy another. I just can't decide which reticle to get. That's kinda like SHTF isn't it?
  17. My wife puts it like this: we can follow a syllabus as easy as a teacher. Actually we will probably do a homeschool co-op type program. I probably wouldn't be such an asshole if I hadn't been socialized. And maroonandwhite your plan and ours is the same.. We got out of debt, my wife stays home, we shop smart, and try to live frugally with the same goal in mind as you. And it's funny even though she doesnt work it seems like we have more money now.
  18. Thats a good place for it, lol.
  19. He posts some good things. My wife always forwards them to me. I think we're gonna homeschool.
  20. It didn't work for me. Told me best they could do was $170. wth?!?
  21. Seriously?... Baker's sucked donkey balls. Ain't no way in h e ll mine was better than any one of the 7 or 8 climbers I've owned.
  22. I'm going to win the NRA gun giveaway grand prize and I picked some gooduns. So there. (It was hard to pick that many from the list)
  23. Sometimes you lose a job for doing what's right and good. That's how it goes. I wanted to help a little boy get some .22lr the other day. But since I was across town with none with me I really couldn't. His grandma was looking for some and of course they were bare. However they had some longs and i asked him what kind of rifle he had and it was a Browning BL22. I commended him on having a great rifle that carries the name of the greatest firearm inventor of all times and told them that they can shoot longs in it just fine. They were match grade longs so i told him he needs to make em count. He had to be bout 8 I'd say. I wished so much that I had a brick in my truck.
  24. Should be our king's likeness
  25. No cuz if shtf the deer will be still out there and on top of everything else you'll have to compete with all your neighbors. Better to go ahead and stock up. A bird in the hand... I've killed a big old doe and a spike with 8" spikes so far. Puttin' meat in the freezer. I also detroyed an arrow when I hit a big fat grapevine shooting at another doe this afternoon.
