Titanium is used for a couple of reasons. With the lighter firing pin and stronger firing pin spring you can eliminate the series 80 style firing pin safety and it will decrease lock time by a couple of milliseconds.

I noticed the same thing just go in through Sears, but it was pointed out to me it is posted at all the mall parking lot entrances, except the entrance when you come in from Red Lobster. Presumably if you enter the parking lot from there and do go in through Sears you would good.?.? Me, I always carry there, go in through Sears and have never been stopped or looked at. If there is a mall where you would likely be robbed at in the Nashville area Rivergate has to be #1 or #2 with Hickory Hollow.

Most of the time I have heard of people having this problem it has been with an ambidextrous safety, bumping it on the right/outside. But even that seems hard to do to me.

I tell friends all the time, a good gun belt makes carrying so much more comfortable. I have a Wilderness Tactical, it is some of the best money I have spent on gun stuff. I've converted a couple but still have a few non believers.

Midway and most other reloading companies sell a stuck case removal kit. On Midway's site they show how to use it. It seems to me also, I saw a video on youtube on how to make your own stuck case remover. Good luck.

Typically a heavier bullet weight will have more felt recoil. However, a load with a lead bullet will generally have a lower powder charge than the same weight jacketed bullet. So, my guess on your particular question would be the felt recoil of a standard pressure 158gr. lswc and a standard pressure 125gr jacketed would be close to the same. If you bumped the jacketed up to +P then the 125gr. would recoil more. By the way, you can get the lswc in a hollow point as well.

It's hard to beat an RCBS 10-10. I have an older version no longer made the 5-10. Great scales easy to set up and use.

They are good presses and have good reviews now. They had some bugs in them when they first came out but seem to have been worked out now. But for similar money you could get a Dillon. They have great support form the factory and tons of accessories to load lots of ammo fast.

For the grips, you may want to try one of the sandpaper stick on grips. There are a few different ones. They do not add any bulk to the grip, and when properly prepared they do not come off.

Just to give you an idea how things affect value. I had an 1911 made in 1918 "US Govt. Properly" Before I knew much about the collectible nature of this gun, I had it reparkarized. I found later when I realized what I had was more valuable than just some old gun, I had it appraised. After being refinished it was worth about $400-500. Before refinishing about $1500-2000 +/-.

I do not mean to encourage anyone to break the law, just a personal thing for me. What turned me on this subject is a recent instructor school I attended. Of the 56 of this schools students involved in shootings over the years, only two of them have been killed, those two did not have their guns on them(3 others were wounded). They either observed the no gun sign or it was too inconvenient to carry or what ever the reason they were unarmed when they had the legal right to be armed and they are now dead. I strongly encourage anyone who wishes to follow the letter of the law to go elsewhere when encountering a posted business. Going unarmed can lead to serious consequences. I carry even into a posted business. I picture my family standing over my coffin and saying,"well at least he followed the rules"......

The only drawback to the Archangel stock, at least the ones I have seen, is you can't use a heavy barrel, if that is any concerne. The Blackhawk has the adjustable butt stock and can use any diameter barrel. Or, you can be a cheap SOB like me and just cut off about 3" of the original stock and make up a new but plate.

The smaller .45's are a little easier to control with 185gr bullets. But still no 9mm.

A gun like this is hard to value I would think. It would not be in any of the value books. If you ever wanted to sell it, it will be again, hard to value and likely priced low to accommodate for its unfamiliar name. If it is custom built with premium parts and it's new, I would guess they are asking in the $1100-1500 range. For that kind of money you can get into some of the better known guns that will be easier to get rid-of if the time comes. If they are asking in the $500-700 range it may be a good deal. Most any quality built 1911 should sell for that.

My problem with a shop like this is, we (gun owners and TN legislators) have fought for carry in restaurants that serve alcohol along with other places over the years. With gun shops and gun shows like this, we look like hypocrites. I can see opponents of such freedoms seeing it as hypocrisy and they would be right.

Yea, I don't dispute what took place. I just know how my nephew and myself have been treated on trades there and it has always been fair. However, we knew what our guns were worth and they knew we knew what they were worth. Plus, most people want what they want NOW be damded the cost. I do know they have quite a few of those style of revolvers in the case. Probably did not want to invest much in overstock would be my guess. Who knows.

Well, I have done quite a bit of buisness with the Reloaders Bench. Buying/trading guns and reloading components. I have been treated well. There gun prices are a little high but they have a good bit of knowladge and are always very helpfull. And as one other poster said. We do not know the condition of the guns traded. Probably not a good idea to slam a shop on a deal you did not make.

I have ordered from them before and had no problems. Lee over the past year has been way behind on production. It has caused long waits from many of the retailers that sell their product.

I looked at a Remington R1 the other day. US made seemed to be very well built. Price was $650. A little higher than the RIA but a very nice 1911.

I must have walked right by it. I was really wanting to handle one before buying one. But I have read and heard some good reviews on them. We will see Wed. or Thurs.

I ordered mine at the Reloaders Bench in Mount Juliet. They called yesterday and said the distributor had 10 in stock. He ordered me one, don't know if he got any more. I went to the gun show Saturday and did not see one.

I ordered one today. Should be in Wensday. Have read a lot of good reviews on this gun.
