  1. Well... I stepped on the scales today after I finished my workout, and it looks like I have hit my goal. I am at 200 lbs. It has taken me a long time to hit this weight. I am rather pleased with the results. I have put only 1 inch on my waist and have maintained my abs. My next goal is 215 - 220 lbs. That will be the upper limit of the weight I want to put on. How is everyone else doing? Still sticking with it?
  2. How "fantastic" was the price? I have spoke to Heather at CRK several times, and she informed me that the Neil Roberts Warrior has been discontinued. As far as the price goes, I'm not saying, but I got it for a steal. I didn't pay much more for the Warrior than I did my Professional Soldier. Outside of my Kathathu, it has been one of the best deals I have gotten on a CR knife.
  3. Very nice. Congratulations. To me, there is just something about a 1911 that is sexy. I hope you enjoy it.
  4. Oh come on now, just think of it in terms of redistribution. You and Steve are free to passaround any Busse, CR, Hinderer, etc... my way. However, I need to be upfront by stating the postman often loses packages heading to my house. Very cool and generous of you Steve to give the knife away.
  5. I believe you are correct in that prediction. I was reading today that Christie (although he denies it) is giving second thoughts on entering the race. I don't consider him all that conservative.
  6. I sent my knife to CRK a couple of weeks ago for authentication and to get a new box and certificate. I received it back today. CRK charged me a whopping $0.00, and they paid for the return shipping as well. Not only does CR make fantastic knives, they have incredible customer service as well. It is too bad that CR knives are pricey, but you get what you pay for. I wish everyone could see the quality and craftsmanship that is put into their knives.

That is sad to hear. I didn't know the man, but I have attended a bunch of his gun shows.
  8. Here is the way I look at it. If you don't like Ron Paul, then don't vote for him. I am not a Ronulan who thinks Paul is the second coming (yes, there are those out there). I do however, think he is much better on many issues than the other candidates currently running. Therefore, unless something changes, I will more than likely vote for him. I just think this whole issue with Kucinich is being blown way out of proportion by those who have animosity towards Paul (primarily his foreign policy views). I could be wrong, which happens from time to time, but I feel this is a mountain being made out of a molehill.
  9. What is to support or condemn for that matter? From my understanding of the article, his comments were made in jest.
  10. Sheesh, there are so many "Caption This" threads that I am starting to think someone has an erotic Obama fetish.

    Caption This III

""When I get you back to that room, I'm gonna spank that *** ***." "You go big daddy." Or the less graphic alternative. "It is our time now. We will force them to eat their peas."
  12. "White House aide tells Michelle Obama, 'The American people say they already pay too much in taxes.' "
  13. Does anybody even listen to Carter anymore much less take him serious?
  14. Randy's classes are fun, and he is a very good instructor. I have had three classes under his instruction. I would have attended the weekend class, but I have had my head up my butt and totally forgot about it. However, I guess it is sort of a good thing I forgot about it since I haven't shot a gun in a little over a month. I bet I am absolutely corroded, and I doubt I would have enjoyed myself. I will try to catch it next year unless it is in the winter and has snowed a lot.
  15. I have been looking for a good outdoor camping, hiking, etc... knife. Being somewhat of a fan of CR fixed blades, I ran across one the other day at a fantastic price, so I bought it. This is my new CR Warrior. According to the card: I really like CR fixed blades, and since all of my other CR one-piece designs are becoming highly collectable and valuable, they will stay put up. This knife will be used, and since it is a CR, it should be a good one.
  16. I saw that earlier today. I thought it was pretty funny.
  17. I saw this the other day and was wondering if anyone else has seen it. Apparently, the administration has a new propaganda website out called "AttackWatch." Get the facts. Fight the smears. — AttackWatch.com On the website you can report someone for attacking the president on what they deem as false. I find this very Owellian, but I also find it very humorous that the president is so thin-skinned that they have to create a website to correct supposed misinformation. Any thoughts?
  18. I enjoyed the debate as well. It was very informative. A few points: I do not like Cain's 9/9/9 proposal. I do not want a national sales tax along with a federal income tax. Give me one or the other, but not both. Other than that, I thought he did well, but it was all more of the same. I now have a candidate whom I loathe, and it is Sucktorum. I was quite livid when Sucktorum mischaracterized Paul's foreign policy. Telling Paul that he should be ashamed, and he should stop parroting bin Laden was deplorable. It reminded me of Giuliani taking those same cheap shots in the 2008 debates. It was unfortunate that Paul did not do himself any favors by responding more coherently. I thought his retort was somewhat weak and rambling. It is a good thing there are more debates in the future. I don't think he will get the nomination, but he will still get my vote in the primary.
  19. I agree. I thought it was rather odd. I did not watch the MSNBC debate, but I will watch the CNN debate.
  20. Congrats. It is a nice knife.
  21. Do you ever check the classifieds online? I know there are individuals that pickup used drums from chemicals companies. We have several that pickup from us. If you were closer, I would give you one.
  22. I don't consider a knife broke in until I cut myself a couple of times. I am embarassed to admit that I cut myself twice within 10 minutes owning my Chris Reeve Professional Soldier.
  23. Those XMs are nice. I have considered buying one or two, but they are a lot more than what I would want to pay for a knife I would never use. I do understand the collectability aspect however. I have noticed that the prices have been creeping down slightly on the XMs, primarily the 24. I wonder if it has anything to do with the ZT line coming out. Have you guys ever seen the ZT 0350 CB? I wouldn't mind having one of those, but they are a b*tch to find.

    Sad but fun

I disagree with you guys on several points. A majority (although a slight one) of americans have plenty of skin in the game. They are the taxpayers. As far as sacrifice goes, yes, nobody is being asked to sacrifice, they are being forced to. The ones that I am talking about being forced to sacrifice is our kids. They are the ones going to be saddled with paying this ever increasing debt (wars cost too). That is what I find sad. As far as you guys recognizing and thanking our soldiers when you see them, that is very honorable. I wish more people were like you. For those who do it secretly, as in the case as Bronker mentioned, that is just plain awesome. Sorry to be such a sour puss. I have just become so cynical of our own federal government over the last several years.
  25. I bought two FNH SLP Mark 1s from VOW. The only problem I have with VOW is they are at gun shows a lot of weekends, and the only time I can visit their shop is on Saturdays.
