  1. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find decent prices on the one-piece Chris Reeve knives. Due to the discontinuance of the line, demand and prices have skyrocketed. I often run across cases in which the prices are just obscene. Every now and then you can find one for a good price. Being somewhat of a fan of CR blades, when I run across those deals I usually buy it. I stumbled across a good deal on another one-piece that I did not have. I got a Sable IV, which is not the sexiest of the one-piece designs, but it is one of the more practical and versatile of the line. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Specs: Overall length: 10.5" Blade length: 5.5" Weight: 11.5 oz. While I really like the knife, I do not care so much for the sheath. There is very little retention. If I ever decide to carry it on any outdoor excursions I will order a different sheath for it.
  2. That is the position I am taking. I will be voting for Paul in the primary. I believe he is the best candidate for the job. If he doesn't get the nomination, I will be voting for whoever gets the Republican nomination. Hopefully it is Paul, but if it is not, Obama has to be removed from office. I honestly believe that this country would not be able to recover from an additional four years of Obama.
  3. I take it by your earlier mentioning of "RuPaul" you are a Mark Levin fan, or at least listen to him. I like Levin as well, and I agree with him on most issues. However, I think he is wrong about Paul. I don't understand why everyone else would have to vote for Paul before you would vote for him. Either you agree with his positions and think he is the best candidate for the office thus casting your vote for him, or you don't and will not vote for him. Personally, I couldn't care less what everyone else is doing, nor do I care how much support Paul has. I believe Paul is the only candidate (outside of Johnson) who understands the direness of our fiscal situation, and is actually prepared to do something meaningful to reverse the situation. Therefore, I will be voting for him in the primary. Can he win the nomination? Certainly, but it takes people who agree with his positions to actually vote for him and not worry about whether he can win. I still consider the primaries the time when you nominate the best candidate for the job, not necessarily the most electable. One only has to look at our current situation in this country to realize that nominating the most electable instead of the best candidate has been a disaster. Will Paul win the nomination? Probably not, because a lot of voters will continue to heed the imprimatur of the establishment and/or media on who is electable instead of who is best.
  4. That has to be Dick Cheney's dog. So much for man's best friend.
  5. Ya know, just a little over a month ago I didn't own a 350. I was happy with my 300 (still am). Well... I now own three of them. My new 350CB came in today (the one on the bottom). It is another composite blade with Elmax on the bottom. Uploaded with ImageShack.us I am thankful knives don't cost anything like 1911s.
  6. I don't really care for Trump, but I can't disagree with what he is saying.

    Kimber vs Wilson 1911

If you don't mind paying the custom/semi-custom price then I would go with the Wilson, without question. Kimber makes a fine 1911. I owned two of them, but they were nothing like my CQB. I wouldn't rule out Nighthawk, Ed Brown, or Les Baer. All of those are top quality. If you don't mind waiting for 8-24 months, I would also mention the Springfield Professional. I should have my SA Pro the first of the year and I originally placed the order in September 2010.
  8. The biggest problem I have with that statement is you are listing great American figures. Outside of not being dead, I don't think Cain qualifies to be listed among those you posted. Anyway, it is moot point. He is finished. I guess we just have to wait for the book or made for tv movie.

    Skyrim

I didn't really write what I meant correctly. I haven't noticed the game getting harder, but I have noticed that it isn't really getting easier either. I had suspected that as your character level increased, the enemies would become too easy. It doesn't seem to be the case. Even though I have have enchanted smith-maxed daedric armor, I can't still be forced to load a previous save if I am not paying attention and get attacked by multiple bandits (especially magic ones) or a dragon. Is anyone playing as a mage?
  10. I am not surprised in the least. I think it was nothing but pure egotism that guided him to declare his candidacy. While I disagree with OhShoot's suggestion of this being a Clarence Thomas in spades, I do however, believe that Cain had been planning on using Thomas' strategy. Remember, before all of these women came out Cain had predicted a "high-tech lynching." Interesting choice of words considering those were the same words Clarence Thomas used in his defense. If it was one or maybe two women that came out with these allegations, I would suspect some chicanery. However, with this many women coming forth? Come on. Anyway, his campaign is over. There is no way he will get the nomination. On a personal note, I couldn't care less about his extramartial activites. If I thought he was the best candidate with the best ideas then I would still support him. I like Paul, and I will vote for him in the primary, but I just don't see him getting the nomination. I hope I am wrong, but it looks like it will be either Romney or Gingrich. While either are better than Obama, I cringe at the thought of voting for either of them in the general. I don't think either of them will do anything meaningful in regards to fixing our biggest problem, our colossal federal government that spends too much. It looks like OhShoot was correct when he predicted that this will be a hold your nose and vote election.

79? Wow. I couldn't imagine what it takes to get to that level. I can understand that. All of my max skills have been through me using them. The only two skills I have trained are enchanting and speechcraft. I would have however, if I could go back, train on all of the things I don't use (magic stuff). Go figure, I am the Arch Mage of the College and I hardly ever use magic and I only use my shouts when I have to. Has anyone noticed that the game levels with you (one thing I do like)? It is as the bandits and monsters increase in difficulty as you level. It doesn't matter a whole lot if I stay hidden and attack, but if I get seen and start getting hit, my health drops very rapidly.
  12. I just found the "light" option this evening. Much better. Thanks. I really like the i-trader feature too. One final note of praise (I need to stop before you think I want something) is the speed of the forum. I know we went through a rough patch a month or so ago where it was abhorently slow. I guess I have just picked up on it, but the speed of the forum is fantastic.

This is the best role playing game I have played. It is absolutely a fantastic way to waste my time. I haven't really done a lot major quest lines outside the the Winterhold Magic College; I finished that one. So far, I am playing this game as an explorer and opportunist, and I am at level 48. My main talents are in sneak, smithing, lockpicking, and archery. All are maxed out. My enchating, speechcraft, heavy armor, and one-hand are very high as well. I really like the look of the Daedric armor, so I wear a complete set enchanted with lifting, archery x2, and fortify heavy armor. My Daedric bow has a rating like 388. I laughed when it only took two hits (one was a sneak critical) to kill one of the regular dragons using daedric arrows. I will spend the next week or so finishing up the game trying to do as much as I can. One regret I have during this game is not doing any training for the first 15 - 20 levels. I missed out on a lot, but I have gone too far and there is no way I am starting over.
  14. No tools are really required to a complete "detail" strip. However, I wouldn't recommend doing a "detail" strip unless you are modifying this gun. I "field" strip and clean mine about every 400-500 rounds. Some might say to never field strip it, but I disagree. The gun is very dirty after 500 rounds of CCI Minimag, and I have noticed a loss of accuracy. Once you have "field" stripped it a couple of times, it is a piece of cake, especially as the gun loosens up. The other nice thing about the Ruger MK series is they are tanks. They are very hard to screw up.
  15. Nice one. They are great guns. If you do not like the trigger, Volquartsen makes a trigger kit called the Accurizer for the Mark III. I put one in my Mark III Hunter. Also, don't get frustrated with field stripping it. It is a pain in the butt for everyone the first couple of times. Once you are used to it, it is a piece of cake.
  16. Congratulations. Best of luck on your new endeavor. I am rather envious.
  17. Nice one.
  18. I assume we will be having both, but I won't find out till tomorrow when I go to my sister's house.
  19. Thank you for the information on the LEM trigger. I guess the best thing I can do is find someone locally who has one and ask them to let me shoot it to see if I like it.
  20. I have contemplated on getting a HP P30 with the LEM V1 (light) as I also hate DA/SA. Question. How does the light LEM compare to a good 1911 trigger, or is there any comparison? I would like to know before I dump $800 for a new gun.

Spoiler Alert: Yes, you can sell stolen merchandise. However, you have to "fence" perk under Speechcraft. I don't have that perk, but I know that is what it takes.
  22. Please tell me that is the frustration talking. Obama can still be effective, as he has shown, with his abuse of executive orders. He has got to go. I couldn't imagine what would occur when this country implodes. It is really too terrifying to think about. Additionally, there is no guarantee that the government will revert back to the constitution. It is quite possible that we could see a move in the opposite direction towards more of a dictatorship.
  23. Yes. I actually carried and used it today. If by some chance I ever mess it up, CR will be able to fix it. I really have only one knife that I will absolutely not use. That is my CR Kathathu. That knife is for collecting/investment purposes only.
  24. Believe it or not, I would normally never spend this kind of money for a knife. You can get regular and fancy Sebenzas day in and day out. However, you will pay for them, and it is more than I want to pay for a knife. I have been looking out for great deal on a large Sebe for several months. Every now and then you will run across a used, but mint, one for the low $300s. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. At that price, you are pretty much guaranteed not to loose money (assuming the individual takes care of their knives). I have been unfortunate that I haven't been able to get one. When I saw this knife with all of the Gadsden stuff, I had to have it. It was one of those rare moments for me when price really didn't matter.
  25. These are the grips I put on my T3. I really like them. http://www.nighthawkcustom.com/NPDPopImage.aspx?pi=http://www.nighthawkcustom.com/images/GR-G-01_1.jpg Midway has similiar grips without the fancy hawk on it AlumaGrips Slim Line Grips 1911 Government Commander Checkered Aluminum Black.
