  1. No, it doesn't show incredible stupidity. It shows strict constitutionality. Our foreign policy was founded upon non-interventionism. We got the first example of that when we did not join the French against the British. Our founders wanted us to be neutral and not entangle ourselves in any foreign alliances. The problem with so many of these questions is they are highly political gotcha questions. The entire premise of the question is wrong. The president does not have the authority to declare war. That power resides with Congress. Now, if the interviewer asked Paul would you go to war against the Germans if Congress made a declaration of war, I would bet money his answer would be yes (considering he is a strict constitutionalist and there was an unanimous vote in both the House and Senate). If it was otherwise, then I would agree that Paul is not worthy of the office. Also, let us not forget that Germany and Italy first declared war on us and our Congress responded in kind.
  2. A week or so ago, Major Kong had an opportunity to pick up a couple of fixed blades. After declining, he sent the opportunity my way. Having somewhat of a fetish for the Chris Reeve one-piece line, I jumped at the chance to buy them. The first knife is absolutely huge. It sort of reminds me of the time when Crocodile Dundee pulls his knife on a street thug and says, "Now this is a knife." This is a Chris Reeve Tanto 1. It has a blade length of almost 9 inches. Uploaded with ImageShack.us The next knife is one of my favorites in the one-piece range. It is the Ubejane Skinner. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Thanks Fred for sending the info my way. The last knife is something I picked up separately. I already have a Mountaineer I and this is a Mountaineer II. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Outside of one other knife that I have yet to receive, these the Christmas presents I received this year. Unfortunately, I had to purchase them myself. I need to find a sugar momma.
  3. While it is blatantly obvious that you do not like Paul, lets not cherry pick here. Did we go to war to stop the millions killed under communist Russia? Did we go to war to stop the millions killed under communist China? Did we got to war with the Khmer Rouge? The answer is no on all of them, and I can go on and on. I guess the US must have a s***ty or weak foreign policy since we didn't go to war and stop the millions being killed under brutal regimes or governments.

    New 1911

    Looks good. Congrats.
  5. Nice one. I will let you know on the Professional. While I can't compare it to the Les Baer, I will be comparing it to my CQB, which is the finest 1911 I have shot. The CQB is better than my Nighthawks.
  6. Am I the only one feels that the parents should get the s**t kicked out of them for doing such a miserable job parenting?
  7. I didn't even catch that one.
  8. Based on the current crop of candidates, people should be worried about this election. While I am a Paul supporter, I find it troubling that Santorum, Bachmann, Perry, and Gingrich didn't even get on the VA ballot. From what I have read thus far, only Romney and Paul are going to be on the ballot for VA. What in the hell are these candidates doing? How can we expect them to be serious candidates if they won't do what is necessary to get on a state ballot? I guess Virginia isn't all that important, sheesh.
  9. I have always thought Trump is nothing more than a rich a$$hole.
  10. Hope you have a great Christmas and a wondeful New Year.
  11. What are your plans for Christmas? I will more than likely do the same thing as I do every year, head up to my sister's house and have dinner and Christmas with the family. Judging by some of the recent bourbon threads, I would say some are planning on having a very merry Christmas.
  12. You know me all too well.
  13. Have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
  14. I will ask my brother tomorrow. He is coming down from Nassau County for the holidays.
  15. I don't really care for Alex Jones. I'm sure he is a great guy and he really cares about his country, but I just can't get into all of the conspiracy stuff. King Dude (Mike Church), who I am sure a lot of people on this forum hate, is more my style.
  16. I didn't even know they made a 1911.
  17. I can help you there. Tue Jan 8, 2008 4:26pm EST ARLINGTON, Va.--(Business Wire)-- I think the newsletters are fair game. It would behoove Paul to learn from some of the mistakes Cain made in addressing his issues if he hopes to remain in the race. I still find it deplorable and reeking of desperation that Paul is accused of being a racist and anti-semite by members of his own party in the media and government because they disagree with some of his policies. I would not be shocked in the least if these type of charges were brought about by the left. That is pretty much their modus operandi. I find it hypocritical how Republicans are always whining about the left using such tactics, and now they (Republicans) are doing the very same thing. This only shows me one thing and that is that both parties are essentially the same and will do whatever it takes to gain or hold onto power.
  18. Thanks. Outside of my Sebenza, which will never be sold, and some of the ZTs, I am pretty sure I could make money on everything I have bought if I ever decide to sell them. I doubt I will ever get into any of the custom stuff unless I run across a really good deal. From what I have seen, a lot of the custom stuff is incredibly expensive and difficult to move unless it is a high demand item.
  19. I joined BladeForums.com . I have already bought three new knives. Oh well. If I ever decide to sell any of my knives I will get a much better return than what the bank is giving me.
  20. If you consider that Jersey Shore is one of the most popular tv shows, I wouldn't have been surprised in the least if this had been real.
  21. Mac is a fairly smart guy, but I don't necessarily agree with his assessment. I will concede that Romney stands a much better chance of beating Obama than most of the other candidates, and certainly stands a better chance than Newt. Newt is hated too much by the left, moderates, and conservatives to build a coalition to defeat Obama. Romney stands a better chance only because he can appeal to moderates and disgruntled democrats. However, if Romney hopes to defeat Obama, he cannot lose many conservatives, and I don't think he can pull that off. I know you guys are going to think I'm nuts, but I honestly believe that Paul is the only one currently running that can defeat Obama. A lot of his issues are appealing to moderates and independents, and a lot of his domestic policies are pure red meat for conservatives. His biggest challenge will be getting the nomination. A win in Iowa will certainly help, but it guarantees nothing.
  22. We have a candidate (Paul) running for office that truly represents a change from the corrupt politicians we have in office. He has remained consistent on his views for decades, and has been proven correct on several of his predictions involving economic matters. What I find amazing is how many people are so quick to dismiss his candidacy without trying to put up a fight, but yet, they constantly complain how bad things are in this country and how corrupt our system has become. What do you call that? In a couple of weeks the people of Iowa are going to vote in the first primary. If the polls are correct, it looks like Paul has a very good shot at winning it. All I have heard the last couple of weeks from various news outlets and talk radio is bashing of Paul. It has gotten so low that Paul is now accused of being a racist and anti-semite. I have heard Iowans called imbeciles, morons, etc..., and now it has been suggested that if Iowa chooses Paul they should lose their place in the primary process and not be taken seriously in future elections. All of this is coming from the right side of the aisle. People in one state are exercising their right to vote for whom they feel is best for the country and they are now ridiculed and threatened. Seriously, WTF? These last several months have been a real eye opener for me. Some people whom I had always considered to be champions of conservatism I have found out aren't really all that conservative. On certain issues they are as pro big government as any modern day liberal (improperly defined). I have decided that they are as much of the problem as the liberals and R.I.N.O.s in Washington.
  23. That is something else I didn't know.
  24. Neither have I, but I assumed that some of the basic bodily functions would still occur while being a zombie. By the way, my earlier comment about thinking too much was made in jest, nothing malicious. My jokes don't come across well on the keyboard.
