  1. When I am lifting weights during lunch M-F, I listen to what ever the gym is playing. When I do some cardio at night, I will listen to likes of Metallica, Ozzy, GnR, Judas Priest, AC/DC, etc... I have also had some luck with Pink Floyd during slower runs. I tried PodRunner a little bit. http://www.djsteveboy.com/podrunner.html Some of them are really good and some not so good, but they are all excellent because they are free. I have made several playlists such as: Eighties: The GogGos, Flock of Seagulls, The Fixx, Bananarama, After the Fire, Gary Numan, B-52s, Inxs, Red Rider, The Cranberries (I know they are 90s), Duran Duran, Human League, Dexy's Midnight Runners, The Clash, etc... Dance Mix: Amber, Black Box, CC Music Factory, Crystal Method, Daft Punk, Goldfrapp, Jem, Kylie Minogue, La Bouche, Lost Witness, Push, etc... More recent pop: Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Ke$ha, Lady Gaga, Sean Kingston, Maroon 5, etc...
  2. I think about the only thing Obama could spike with any credibility is the punch bowl.
  3. Out of all of the candidates who ran for the presidency during this election cycle, Paul was the only candidate I actually liked. Even though I voted for him and I am still a Paul supporter, he stands no chance of winning the Republican nomination. Do I think he should drop out of the race? No. Paul has some really good ideas that I think people need to hear, and he is not going to keep Romney (who I will be voting for) from getting the nomination.
  4. Welcome to TGO. I own a Five Seven, and it is a really neat gun. It is very light even when loaded with 20 rds, and has very little recoil. Overall, it is a good defensive pistol.
  5. I have commuted back and forth to Calhoun, GA (57 miles) for almost 15 years. Yeah, it takes 2 hours out of my day and racks up the miles on my car, but it doesn't really bother me. I guess I have gotten used to it.
  6. I am no longer surprised about anything he does.
  7. Nice Benchmade.
  8. True, but you can buy the ZT 0550, which is very similiar to the 0551. The 0551 was made with Elmax, and the 0550 is made with S35VN, which is really good steel (it is what my XM-24 is made of). The dimensions of the 0550 are the same as the 0551. The cost on the 0550 is cheaper than the 0561 ($200 vs. $260). BladeHQ has the 0550 in stock right now. http://www.bladehq.com/item--Zero-Tolerance-0550-Knife--7609
  9. Yes, that was covered. That is a snob.
  10. I would add one more to the list. Beware of the overly-sensitive insecure or jealous twerp. I can deal with all of the other types, but these really get on my nerves. These are the type that will automatically assume you are a snob if you have or want to buy something nice and/or expensive. They will start criticizing everything about it based solely on the price of the item. "Why I can't believe you paid that much for that. You could have bought four of such and such, and they are just as good. With the money you have left over you can buy a bunch of ammo or get more training." Unfortunately, you run into these types everywhere. The topic doesn't even have to deal with guns. The bottom line is do your research, ask some knowledgeable friends, and buy what you want and enjoy it.
  11. Just out of curiousity, I weighed both the XM-24 and ZT-0561 while I was at work. ZT-0561: 165.45 grams XM-24: 220.86 grams That is a pretty big difference.
  12. I find your reasoning somewhat perplexing. Based on your comments, you understand what Obama has done and what he is capable of. You also understand that what he has done has been terrible for this country. I'm reaching on this one, but I would guess that you understand what Obama will do if he gets a second term without having to worry about reelection. Now... You have a known quantity that is extremely bad, and you won't vote for him. However, you aren't going to vote for the unknown quantity either because he may or may not be as bad as the known. I don't get that. If Romney wins the election and he turns out as bad as Obama, what have we lost? Nothing. We swaped one p.o.s. politician for another p.o.s. politician. However, if he turns out better, even slightly better, that is at least a small step in the right direction. In regards to principles, I am all for standing on them. I was one of the 8% in TN who voted for Paul in the primary. However, I also understand that there times when one can become too rigid in their ideology that they end up hurting themselves. There is a time and place to stand firm on one's principles. In the political process, it is during the primaries. I was in here almost daily advocating for RP during the primaries. I also pleaded my case to my family, friends, and coworkers. In the end I lost the argument. Paul got crushed in the TN primary. Now that the primary is over, I can either stick to my principles and vote for someone who shares all of my views, but stands absolutely no chance of winning the election, or I can vote for someone who as you stated earlier is an unknown quantity (we don't know what he will do until he gets in office). I know this is cliche, and I hate using it. When there is so much at stake I will take the latter choice everytime.
  13. I preordered mine with KershawGuy probably 5-6 months ago. As far as the knives on the forums and ebay, I would hold off unless you really got to have one. The prices have come down quite a bit on the forums and secondary market, but they are still above the $260, which is the most you should pay. At one time, people were paying a little over $400 to be one of the first to have one. In my opinion that is crazy, but I guess everyone is different.
  14. I received a package in the mail today. It was my new ZT 0561 Hinderer flipper. First off, this knife is absolutely fantastic. ZT really went the extra mile on this one. It blew away my expectations. The ZT 0561 was a collaboration between ZT and Rick Hinderer to develop a knife based on Rick's XM-18. Here are the specifications on the knife: Blade: ELMAX®, stonewashed finish, 3.75 in. (9.5 cm) Handle: 3-D machined G-10 front scale, 3-D machined titanium back handle, stonewashed finish Closed: 5 in. (12.7 cm) Overall: 8.8 in. (22.4 cm) Lock: 3-D Machined Titanium framelock Weight: 5.8 oz. Made in USA I don't really have much more to say about the knife since I have a lot of comparison pictures, which I think speak for themselves. Here is the ZT 0561 Here is a comparison to the ZT 0561 and the original ZT 0551, which is based more on the XM-18. Here is a comparison of the ZT 0561, ZT 0300, and ZT 0350. Here is a comparison to a Hinderer XM-24, which the ZT 0561 is modeled after. While the ZT 0561 is fantastic, it is still not a Hinderer. The XM-24 is just massive, and it truly is a knife you could take to hell and back. However, the ZT 0561 doesn't cost anything near to what a XM-24 does. The best price you can get on a new ZT 0561 is $260, which is still pricey for most. The XM-24, well... let's just say it is expensive. The ZT 0561 is a knife for someone who doesn't want to shell out the bucks for a XM-24, and it is a really good alternative. I honestly believe that the ZT 0561 is their best offering to date, and the flipper is just so sweet. The flipper (no assist) on the ZT 0561 is just a fraction slower than the SpeedSafe of the 300 series, which is spring assisted. If I didn't already have an XM-24, I would have been totally content with the ZT 0561. It is that good. Since I already have the XM-24, the ZT 0561 will probably be boxed up and kept in storage for some future use. For those who are looking for a ZT 300, 301, or 302, I would seriously consider looking that the 0561. I don't think you would be disappointed.
  15. I have seen several threads of people posting their cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc... I wanted to post my new toy I bought this Friday. It is super sweet. This is my Trek Superfly 100 AL Pro. Not as nice as the carbon Superfly 100 Pro, but nice enough for me, and a heck of a lot cheaper. Before I bought it, I said I wasn't going to spend another dime out of my checking account this year (I'm somewhat of a tightwad), and if I wanted it I would have to sell some stuff to pay for it. This is what two of my handguns bought me. It was a win for everybody. Two people got two very nice handguns, which I hope they enjoy. I got rid of two handguns that I hadn't shot in a long time, and got something instead that I hope to get a lot of enjoyment out of.
  16. When I posted some items for sale last week, it asked me for the location. Look under the "Features" tab.
  17. I am betting on the mag spring.
  18. Very funny. I wouldn't be surprised if Bill didn't make the recommendations to the Secret Service.
  19. I'm sure billionaires don't hear this often, but Bloomberg can kiss my a$$.
  20. I think you did a great job on the new classifieds section. The only downside I have seen, which is totally my fault, is responding to all the messages from listing multiple items for sale. It has wore me out, and I won't make that mistake again.
  21. Hey, I have a novel idea. How about lets seriously cut back on all of the nanny state cradle to grave bulls**t instead of raising taxes or creating new taxes, such as a national sales tax?
  22. That sounds nice, but unless you are suggesting armed revolution, it doesn't really mean anything. Our political process, i.e. voting, is how things are changed in this country. I think a more appropriate suggestion would be for people to stopping whining, pull their head out of their a$$, and becoming politically active. The far left does it so much better than we do, which is one of the reasons we are in this situation. I think Plato said it best, "One of the penalties of refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors."
  23. It is not part of an essay. It was just a blurb in Czech Republic as published in the Prager Zeitung of 28 April 2011. What oldguy quoted seems to be the entire piece. While the quote is philosophically correct, in practical matters it doesn't really mean all that much. Yes, it is the voters who put a person like Obama in office who are to blame, and it is those type of voters who are going to bring about the downfall of this country. However, does anyone think it is realistic that we (Republicans, conservatives, and libertarians) will be able to change the hearts and minds of 50 plus million people who voted for the a$$hole? I don't think so. The only thing we can do is fight them politically, which is something we can do and win.
  24. I don't mean to be disagreeable, but seriously, if someone cannot see an enormous difference between Romney and Obama then they just aren't paying attention. There is really no comparison between the two. It is true that Romney is a moderate Republican on many issues (even liberal on some). However, he is nothing like the socialist we have now. You could combine Wilson, FDR, Johnson, and Carter, and they still don't compare to Obama. While I do not always agree with OhShoot, he is spot on his concern about the SCOTUS. Even though things look pretty bad now, if Obama got the opportunity to appoint 2 or 3 justices, then it really is over. Another aspect to consider is what Obama will do in a lame duck term. If you think he is bad now, just imagine what he will do without the worry of having to be reelected. There will be massive amounts of new regulations and executive orders implemented that will make his first term pale in comparison. We still won't have a budget passed for the next 4 years, and the Republican congress are a bunch of milquetoasts who won't defund a lot of this nonsense, and we will end up being over $20 trillion in debt. I was an avid Paul supporter in the primary. I sincerely thought he was the only candidate worth voting for. However, he lost and stands absolutely no chance of winning the nomination. The best we can hope for is that Paul and his campaign have opened the eyes of a lot of people who are going to become politically active. Romney is no prize. It makes no sense for a conservative to delude himself to think otherwise. Nonetheless, I will be voting for Romney in the general, even if his VP pick is a tool as well. The alternative is just too terrifying to even think about.

    Masters

Freddie has always been one of my favorite golfers, and I would love to see him win it . However, I am cheering for Tiger for the sole reason of sticking it to everyone who said he was finished and would never win again. He proved them wrong a little over a week ago, and I hope he will do it again.
