  1. Right now it is a maybe.
  2. Well... I am sorta shocked that I was not sore today.  My hands are a little tender, but that is all.  I will still get a chainsaw.  I don't want a repeat performance.
  3.   You are more than welcome. :) The 0561 is a great knife.  I see the price has come down too, which is always nice.   If you want to spend some more, I would recommend getting a CR Sebenza.  I have around 20 or so CR knives, and I believe he makes some of the finest production knives available.  If you ever decide to get one, I would recommend just a plain jane large Sebenza, preferably the Starbenza.  Forget the fancy graphics, damascus, etc... unless you don't plan on using it.  I use the crap out of my Starbenza and it keeps on cutting.    I love all my ZT knives, but they don't see anywhere near the pocket time as my Starbenza.
  4. I spent three hours this morning sawing, digging, and using a blunt axe to take down a fairly good size tree.  I then had to haul off all the branches.  I am in decent shape, but I am now exhausted.  One of the first few things I buy when I get my new house is a chainsaw, and perhaps a wood chipper.
  5. Nice.  I have five different ZT 0350s, but I really like that Benchmade you got.
  6.   Yep, it has only been the 37th time they have voted to repeal it.   Any time they have a chance to do anything of real substance on Obamacare, they fold.  In fact, as pointed out in one of my earlier threads, they actually fast tracked funding to one of Obamacare's provisions.   All of this repeal nonsense is political theater for the 2014 elections.
  7. Just out of curiousity, wouldn't seeing a man OCing tell police officers that the man was more than likely not a criminal?  I could be really off base, but it seems to me that a criminal or someone who was a threat would be carrying concealed.  Why would they advertise and draw attention to themselves by OCing?  The short answer is they wouldn't.
  8. I have taken my lunch to work for years.  It is better for you, depending on what you take of course, and it is a lot cheaper.
  9. Nice.  I bought mine several years ago.  It is one gun that I doubt I will get rid of.  It is big, but it is so light that I sometimes forget I am carrying it.

    Jack Reacher

    I liked it.
  11.   I, for one, did not.  Recent history has showed me that I made the correct decision.
  12. Wow, prices have dropped even faster than I anticipated.  I wonder what all those who paid $80 - 100 per pmag a few months ago are thinking.
  13. I was wondering about that. I have a very nice self-propelled mower that I will be keeping, since it will be easier to use on the back of the property (has a lot of landscaping). The lower end of the property isn't too large, and I could actually do it with my push mower. However, there is plenty of grass that runs along side the driveway going up the hill, which is a no go for the push mower. I didn't know whether a zero turn or a tractor would be the preferred mower for a hill. Here is a pic of the driveway heading up to the house. It is just too steep for the push mower.
  14. I could just picture the mother running out of the house, covered in crap, screaming I'm gonna kill you.  That was hillarious.
  15. Pizza is one of my favorite foods.  I often will buy a large pizza and eat it over a day or day and a half.  A lot of pizzas are pretty crappy when you reheat them in the microwave or oven.  What do you think the best reheated pizza is?   So far, my favorite is Papa John's thin crust.  Not as good when fresh, but it is pretty close.
  16. That is very nice.  Congrats.
  17. For years I have rented a cheap apartment because I have always been so tight with money. Since I am not married and do not have any kids, I have never needed a house. Anyway, to make a long story short, I had some cash sitting in my bank account doing absolutely nothing except losing money. I can't add any more to my 401-K due to government restrictions, so I figured now would be a good time to purchase a house considering interest rates are so cheap. For over a year I have looked at thousands of houses hoping to find something I liked. After a year of frustration I finally found something that met all the parameters I had set (all brick, county - but not in the boonies, acreage - but not a farm, and privacy). The brick house sits on a little more than 3 acres of wooded land (cannot see the house from the main road nor see the neighbors - what can I say, I'm not very sociable), it has a long gated driveway, and while it is in the county, it is only 5 miles away from shopping. This is the front of the house. Please forgive the pics, they were taken with my cell (I don't own a camera). This is the view from the front porch. :) I am excited about it, but I don't look forward to cleaning it as it is a little big for a single person. I have the contract, home inspection, approval from the bank (you guys would hate it if you knew who I went it), and now I am waiting for closing some time this month. Question. Does anyone have a recommendation on a riding lawn mower and a weed eater? Last year, I bought what I thought was a nice Craftsman gas weed eater, but it is a p.o.s.
  18. I was just perusing the Drudge Report when I saw a link to an article regarding the administration's stance on Syria.  In the article, I read a quote from an administration official that stated:     While I don't really care about the Security Council crap, I do agree with the first part, and the answer to the question is it has absolutely nothing to do with us.   I am so confused about the entire middle east situation.  I have no idea who is on our side and who isn't.  If we do have allies in the region, are they just temporary like Sadam and the mujahideen was in the early 80s?  Will we support and fund them to achieve our short term goals, only to have it bite us in the a$$ a decade later?  Regardless, I agree so far with the administration for keeping us out of Syria (meaning - no boots on the ground).  What do we have to gain by jumping into a civil war?  Nothing.    While I agree with the administration for not having a physical presence in Syria, I still disagree with the secret involvement we have in funding the Syrian rebels.  I sometimes wonder if that is going to backfire on us, and eventually force us to put in our troops. McCain and Graham may get their wish after all.
  19. When I was playing Far Cry 3 I ran across this song in the game.  It isn't the music I normally listen to, but I really like it.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGpzGu9Yp6Y

    Very nice.  Congrats.
  21. Very nice. I think you made the right decision taking the car over the truck. The Raptors are too nice in my opinion to utilize them as a working truck.
  22.   If he decides to run, I think he would almost have to run Independent.  If he ran as a Republican, I think he would fare about as well as Giuliani did in the primaries.
  23.   That sucks.  That was really stupid on her part.    That is great though you can pay for it up front.  I wanted to do that, but I kept being drawn to houses that cost more than what I had in the bank.  I finally told myself that rates weren't going to get any cheaper, so I might as well go ahead.
  24. I am in the process of buying a house.  I have a contract, and go for the home inspection tomorrow.  I then have to shop for the loan.  Please forgive me for crapping all in your thread David, but does anyone know or can recommend a good reputable lender that has fantastic rates?  My credit score is >800 and I will be putting down at least 20 and up to 40% down (haven't made up my mind yet).
  25. If you want it and have no problems affording it, then get it.  I wouldn't worry about what others think.  It is your money, and nobody else on this forum helped your earn it.  I have several expensive 1911s, but nothing that expensive.  I agree with MacGyvers comments on the matter.  The Springfield Pro is a top shelf 1911 and considerably cheaper.  Mine cost around $2300 (pretax).  The downside is that it took me almost 18 months to get it.   If I was in the market for that gun, which at one time I was, I would be on the lookout for a used one.  I would say that a majority of owners of very expensive 1911s don't shoot them all that much, so you can get a used one that is practically brand new.
