  1. After reading all of the posts in the TM/GZ threads, I have come to the conclusion that for some the only type of justice they seek is social justice. I lost interest in this case as soon as Jackson and Sharpton came onto the scene.  At that point I knew that facts would not matter, and the sole issue would be race.   I am neither pro-GZ or pro-TM.  Based on history I have read on both, which should be totally irrelevant in this case, they were both pieces of ****.  I do, however, find it amusing how each side uses irrelevant tidbits of information defending their piece of ****.  Personally, I find it unfortunate that this even made it to trial.
  2. Very funny.  That is precisely why I do not have any Christian-themed stickers or emblems on my vehicles.  I am pretty easy going and have never used my horn, but there are times when I might give the finger (actually did this morning).   Outside of Hell's Angels, the Christian church is only organization I know of where you have to profess to bad in order to join.
  3. I think originally it was going to be To Protect and Defend.  However, the last I heard it was going to be American Assassin, which is the origin book for Mitch Rapp.
  4. I will be interested to see how his books translate to the big screen.
  5. It is just further evidence that I made the correct choice in not voting for Senator Corker.
  6. If I had my way, the two boys would become eunuchs.  They keep their lives, but the give up their right to father children.  I would also knock the crap out of the girl's parents.    Is the girl to be blamed for being raped?  Of course not, and I don't think anyone has suggested such, even Serena.  That said, the world is a dangerous place that is full of evil and sick bastards.  Occurrences such this, unfortunately, have happened in the past. This girl acted foolishly and two evil little bastards took advantage of her compromised position.  It is incredibly sad that she had to pay such a high price.   It is my hope that parents and young girls learn from this situation.
  7. Oh man, that is terrible.  I own and have read all of Flynn's books.  He was my favorite author.
  8.   :)  That will be fixed soon.
  9.   A zero turn is safer on hills than a tractor?  Outside of the price difference, that was another reason I decided to go with a tractor; I thought they would be safer on hills.
  10. I asked in another thread for some suggestions on a lawn mower. Without being able to provide photos of my yard, I realize that doesn't give a lot of people an idea of what I have to contend with. I have fixed that situation. I have taken a bunch of pictures so you can see what I am looking at. Below is what I cut with a push mower on Saturday, which I will absolutely not do again. I have already ruled out zero turn mowers. They are incredibly nice, but just too expensive. There is no way I could bring myself to spend multiple thousands on something that will loose value as soon as I buy it. What I am looking for is the Glock of riding lawn mowers (inexpensive, reliable, durable, and easily serviceable). I couldn't care less about the name on the side of the mower. Here are the pics. Front property heading down the hill Front of the house Side of the house Back of the house Back of house heading towards the top tier of the property Front of the house heading down the hill on opposite side of the driveway Going down the hill between driveways Going down the hill opposite side of driveway Another view going down the hill Bottom end of property Another view of bottom end of the property Now that you have an idea of what I am looking at, do you have any good recommendations? I will be purchasing something next week. Thanks for your help.
  11. What was the final outcome?
  12. I cut my new grass today with my push mower. That is the last time I will do that. It took me four hours and I still didn't finish because my lawn mower wheel broke off. I have still got to weed eat areas I can't mow. I will have a riding lawn mower by next weekend
  13. I like it. Congrats.  My brother bought a MP Sport, and he really likes his.
  14. Your van reminds me of an old Ford van my mother had at one time. That van is what caused me to stop working on vehicles. It had the engine housing between the front seats and the really small hood. I hated working on it.
  15. I have never been one to buy fancy vehicles so I really don't have any rules for my car/truck outside of wearing your seat belt.
  16. Congratulations.  Good luck on your new job.
  17. I called the NRA to change my address, and while I was on the phone I, being a life member, was offered an Endowment membership for $250.  I don't really know what that means, but I accepted it.  I don't use any NRA services, but I think they did a good job during the gun control push, so I might as well give them a contribution as my thanks.
  18.   Someone once told me that you need to get everything you want before you get married because things change once you get married. :)   Anyway, I am pretty much done in the firearms category.  I doubt I will buy anymore handguns, and I have one rifle on the way.  Outside of perhaps building a SBR, the rifle will probably be my last.  As far as knives go, I won't buy anything unless I can get a good deal on it.   Everyone has made some great suggestions in regards to lawn mowers, etc...  I will first cut the property with my push mower and see how bad that is.  If it isn't too bad, I will just keep doing it (I don't mind breaking a sweat).  If it is a little much, I will probably go with a cheaper riding mower.  The zero turns are certainly nice, but I can't see myself spending multiple thousands of dollars on something fancy.
  19. Moved the first boxes today.  It totally sucked and was ridiculously hot.
  20. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-57589252/u.s.-syria-used-chemical-weapons-crossing-red-line/   I guess McCain and Graham are happy.  Personally, I don't understand it.  What do we gain from intervening in Syria?  Stability in the region?  Sheesh, we have been actively involved for 12 years in the region, and it still isn't stable.  It seems to me that we would have learned something during those years.
  21.   I would guess there is between 1.5 - 2 acres that will need to be mowed.  It is funny, when I did the final walk-through, it dawned on me that most of my free time is going to be spent on yard work.
  22. Closed. That is one process that I do not want to repeat. It wouldn't be so bad if everyone did their job. I will keep my self-propelled mower for smaller areas. The back and the front wouldn't be too bad with a push mower, but the bottom end of the property would be just too much. It would take me fours hours or so to do all of the property. So, I guess I will be shopping for a riding mower this weekend. (edit) - yes, they still make Dixie Choppers
  23.   From Rubio as well.  I have stated, for quite a while, my belief that Rubio is a p.o.s.  The thing that ticks me off so much is the talk show mafia is so soft on Rubio instead of knocking his d*** in the dirt.  It is really getting so bad that I almost can't stand to listen to them anymore.
  24. I see that Boner came out today and called the NSA whistleblower a traitor.  I know we are supposed to be cordial to our representatives, but honestly, does anyone else feel like telling all of the supposedly conservative represenatives and senators to go **** themselves?
