  1. I've finally talked my wife in going to the range tomorrow. She has never shot a handgun before. I keep telling her that I do not know anyone who has went shooting that did not enjoy it. Plus, there is all sorts of practical reasons she needs to know how to operate a handgun. Obviously, I want to ingrain in her head safety(no sweeping, muzzle control, finger out of trigger guard,ect..) My softest shooting two handguns are the Glock 21sf and Beretta 92sf. I'm kind of leaning more toward the G21sf. Even though it recoils more than the Beretta, its operation is more simple. Any suggestions? As for me, I'm shooting my Dad's Glock 20/ 10mm. So if anyone sees any mushroom explosions, it is just me shooting the 10mm.

    Glock Vs 1911

Take it from someone who has done a similar trade and regretted it. Don't do it. Save up and purchase a base 1911, but keep the G22. Since I have a G21sf, I sometimes contemplate trading my G22 off for a base 1911. The way I cure that itch, is I go and shoot a couple of 15 round magazines through my G22. Accurate, reliable, easy to control and relatively easy to conceal with the right holster.

  4. The visitors center at Mammoth Cave National Park has the posted No Gun sign.
  5. I shot my G22 with a loose grip and no problems.
  6. Has anyone had any problems with soft ejection out of you 870? I've had my Police Magnum for about 6 years now. Over the weekend, I took it out and ran some 4shot Winchester through it to test out the mag extension I just installed. The spent shells were basically dropping right next to my right foot on the ground. I have never noticed this in the past. The shells were not swollen or anything. The extractor appears in good working condition. the spring that puts pressure on it appears fine. The ejector inside the reciever does not seem broken or anything. I have heard of Express models having some burrs of sizing problems in the chamber, but like I said, I've shot this gun many times before and I clean my guns after each outing. Also, when cycle live rounds through it, it pitches them out the right with no problem.
  7. Just signed up last week. Grew up shooting handguns with my Dad, mainly Glocks. I have branched out to other firearms. Great website.
