  1. Catch a 4 lb + crappie; Quail hunt wild birds with a muzzle loading shotgun; Make another trip to Alaska (and spend at least 3 months); Catch a 4 lb + lobster in the Keys; Remember where I put the key to my boat...
  2. While on a fishing trip in Northern Ontario, we were flown into a camp and left for a week. Fished everyday and ate what we caught. One day I walked into the woods and found the remains of an old cabin- long ago fallen in and rotten. I dug around a little and found an old hammer head (the handle gone.) This has been my reminder of a great trip with my brother and friends.
  3. Here are my favorites. Any other shooters out there?
  4. ThanksFireball!
  5. I really like the forty but got on the "sell" bandwagon to fund my newest addiction -- 32 H&R revolvers... Just thinned out two .40s -- a S&W 411 and a Stoeger Cougar. The Stoeger was probably a best buy in a pistol I had as it was an incredible shooter out of the box. The Smith was a "value line" gun that was also a good shooter -- I used it to qualify for CCP years ago. I just didn't shoot them enough and now am hooked on the little wheel guns...
  6. I just aquired my 4th one of these and have decided I need to reload to keep them fed... Starting off with a Lee Cast single stage press (I might load some 45-70s down the road.) Lot's of good info on this forum!!! I appreciate all the knowledge and am sure I will be using this resource often! FWIW: S&W 16-4; S&W 432PD; Ruger Single Six Bisley and Ruger Single Six Birds Head. When I remember who borrowed my camera, I'll post some pictures of my reloading setup (and some of the revolvers in the proper place...) God Bless America!
  7. Last inventory showed: 22 LR & Mag 32 H&R .380 38 Special 357 Mag .40 45 ACP
  8. In the mid 70s, I went bow hunting on a tract of about 6,000 acres in Mississippi that had never had a road cut into it until about a week before. I had hurt my ankle playing football the night before so a friend helped me into the woods to my stand before daylight. I left a paper bag with my lunch in it in the crook of a tree about 30 feet from my stand. It was very foggy that morning and just before the fog burned completely off, I saw the outline of a big cat creep over to the tree where I had left lunch. It raised up on it's back legs and sniffed the lunch bag, dropped back down and walked away. Turns out from the tracks, it was a panther. (Accoring to an old gentleman who looked at the tracks and had seen and heard them in the area before.) I was so scared shooting at it never crossed my mind...
  9. I've been saving up for a Daisy Red Rider...
  10. M&P 15-22 -- Looks like lots of fun!
  11. S&W Model 16 -- 32 H&R Mag -- 6 inch barrel -- What a joy to shoot!
  12. Throw a Stoeger Cougar into the mix -- well made (thanks Beretta) and in your price range...

    keltec 22mag

Anyone have one of the new keltec 22mag pistols? How do you like it?
  14. I did notice the casings but never thought that was the problem-- just old ammo (20-25 years). Thanks for the proof read and info! LOL
  15. Also, Remember to spell check... That's Ruger...
  16. I just discovered after about 150 rounds of 22 long rifle that I had the 22 magnum cylinder in my Rouger Single Six. Not that I will do this again but will it hurt the cylinder? There are no visible problems. Please make my mistake a reminder to check!!!
  17. Made a late trip to Guns & Leather last night to satisfy an urgent need -- bought a Stoeger Cougar. Haven't made it to the range yet but really looks good. Maybe some day I'll learn to take pics... Great fit and finish for a low price!
  18. The ole Wilson Protector... enough said! Rifle would be a Henry 22 lever gun. Out at the farm, not much is more fun than seeing what the Rossi 12ga coach gun can destroy -- melons don't stand a chance!
  19. I picked up a Rossi with working hammers a while back at Guns & Leather. Looked unfired and the price was great. Really cool looking!
  20. Winchester 9422 Remington 870 Ruger Single Six Colt Mustang II Wilson Combat Defender Alternate: Ruger Balckhawk
  21. Gotta love a 22... Ruger Single Six S & W 611 Remington Speedmaster Remington Targetmaster Winchester 9422 Henry Lever
